Google, Yahoo! och Live Search: en evaluering av tre webbsöktjänster

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to evaluate three general query-based web search engines. The search engines chosen are Google, Yahoo! and Live Search. The topics, which where transformed into twenty queries, are based on real users? information needs, taken from an ask-a-question service.

This paper aims to clarify how four customer magazines and digital versions of the magazines are being used by their target group. It focuses on the Ikea customer magazine specifically. After the analysis the conclusion is that out of the four companies customer magazines only one, Ikeas Live magazine, fully re-used the editorial content from the printed magazines on their digital platform. The interviewees were six readers of Ikeas customer magazine Live and two experts from a Stockholm based content firm. After the conducted interviews it became clear that none of the interviewees read the digital version of Ikeas magazine Live.

This thesis was developed as an assignment from Ludosity Interactive where the goal was to develop a copy of the Xbox Live Indie Games-marketplace from the Xbox 360. Ludosity Interactive had a necessity to easily test a game's attractiveness to potential customers using testing people from outside the company in a simulated Xbox Live Indie Games test environment; excluding this developed system there is no other way to do such an analysis without actually releasing the game on the Xbox Live Indie Games marketplace and then analyze the resulting sales from the product.The finished system had to be similar to the original system to the degree that a user could see past the interface itself and use the system just as he/she would have used the real marketplace. It also had to be easy to change and add games to the system so that Ludosity Interactive easily could show the games and the data that they deemed interesting for their tests. The final product was developed using C#, XNA and XML together with an Agileinspired development method in combination with Pivotal Tracker. This report describes how this product was developed..

To Live in a relationship demands hard work with good communications, mutual respect, compromises, empathy and an understanding of your partners feelings and needs. For a person with ADHD all of this can cause difficulties and create a strained relationship, but it can also mean a relationship with thrills, adventure, spontaneity and passion. This study is built on a qualitative method using triangulation, where the studies empirical materials consist of 4 interviews along with observations online. The empirical material is applied on the theories: love, conflict and coping. The purpose of this paper is to increase the understanding of how it is to Live in a relationship with a partner who has been diagnosed with ADHD. The questions at issue are: How does everyday life work with a partner who has ADHD? What different aspects (positive and negative) are there to Live in a relationship with a partner that has ADHD? How is the possible if any help and support perceived in their relationship and everyday life? The results showed that a relationship with a partner that has ADHD looks like any other relationship, but that it can differ due to the possible difficulties that are at hand.

Vi ville undersöka om det var möjligt att på en begränsad budget bygga och programmera en Live Slow Motion-maskin för att generera repriser under en TV-sändning. Utan tillgång till dyrare specialtillverkad hårdvara skulle allt skötas i mjukvara på i grunden en vanlig konsument-PC. Vi ville så långt som möjligt att vår maskin skulle efterlikna de etablerade produkter som används i TV-branchen då vår förhoppning var att maskinen skulle kunna utnyttjas av TV-studenter efter färdigställandet. As students of graphic design the craft of print is close to our hearts. One of the most essential mediums of the evolution of printing techniques is the poster. In a world where digital mediums are being utilized to a greater degree everyday, our love for the printed poster makes us wonder if the days of the poster are counted.What we did was to take a closer look at the role of the poster in promoting events. We focused on the Stockholm area and did qualitative interviews with three different event promoters. Live Nation which is an international Live entertainment promoter, Dramaten which is one of Sweden?s most well respected theaters and Stockholm Live which is a stand up comedy promoter in Stockholm city.From doing this we learned that economics play an important part in defining the role of the poster.

The purpose of this study was to find out what some young adults who have grown up in Husby themselves for perception of the area, what do they think they brought with them of their childhood there, and find out what they think others do not Live in Husby has view of the area. In our study we also tried to find out what the young adults raised in Husby think about the media's influence on public perception of the area Husby, and what they think about the neighborhood's future. The main results that we believe we have come up with is that the media seems to have a big role in the creation of our beliefs. The respondents indicate that they think the media portrays an unfair picture of the suburb and its inhabitants. We believe it is very important that people meet to avoid the categories "us" and "them" to be formed.

Möteskultur i Live Meeting : En utredande studie av resfria möten ur ett användarperspektiv

Syftet med den här rapporten är att undersöka hur mötena på distans inom Trafikverket Region Mitt fungerar ur ett användarperspektiv och vilka förbättringar som kan göras för att få en effektivare verksamhet och ge användare en bättre arbetsmiljö. Det visar sig att de anställda generellt är positivt inställda till resfria möten som mötesform men att det finns vissa problem. De vanligaste problemen är att ljudet inte fungerar korrekt och att användarna blir understimulerade av att ha tittat länge på en skärm.Tre förslag på lösningar presenteras. Det första är att satsa mer på utbildning för användarna samt att ställa krav på dem att lära sig visa funktioner i och med att Live Meeting används i deras dagliga arbete. Det andra är att använda kameran vid alla möten. Det finns stöd för kameraanvändning men det är något som idag inte används i särskilt stor utsträckning men som jag anser ger mer gemenskap och fler uppmärksamma deltagare.
