Destillers dried grains with soluble (DDGS) is a by-product when producing ethanol. DDGS from wheat has a high crude protein content and a good amino acid profile, which makes it an interesting feed ingredient for poultry. The disadvantage of feeding DDGS from wheat to poultry is that it also contains a high fiber content that chickens don?t have the ability to break down. Lantmännen Agroetanol has developed a new protein feedstuff from DDGS by extracting wheat protein from DDGS, the product name is Agroprotein SD.

Uppsatsen behandlar de svenska vindkraftsproducenternas uppfattning beträffande de två olika stödsystemen miljöbonus och elcertifikat som tillämpas i Sverige under år 2004. Uppsatsens syfte är att jämföra förmågan att stimulera till teknisk utveckling hos de två olika stödsystemen miljöbonus och elcertifikat. Vi ämnade undersöka vilka uppfattningar de olika svenska elproducenterna har beträffande de olika systemens kapacitet att stimulera till nyinvesteringar i förnybar elproduktion med vindkraft och vilka incitament de olika stödsystemen ger de enskilda vindkraftsproducenterna att reducera kostnader och priser. Teknisk inlärning och osäkerhet påverkar de olika systemens kapacitet att skapa elproduktion med förnybara energikällor. Konkurrensintensiteten påverkar de olika systemens incitament att reducera kostnader och priser.

Piglet survival is a problem of great significance in pig production, affecting both animal welfare and economic aspects negatively. In Sweden it is illegal to use farrowing crates for sows on regular basis. To encounter this problem there is a proposal of an animal welfare program to allow the use of crates for sows during, and a number of days after, farrowing. The proposal aims to reduce piglet mortality and improve pig welfare. This present review aims to analyse how crating affects the welfare of sows, gilts and piglets as well as piglet mortality.

Reindeer husbandry and Forestry are both area related industries and will in big extent use the same lands. Conflicts often arise because of that the industries have different interests. Many of the activities done by the forestry influences the reindeer husbandry in an undesirable way, simultaneously as the reindeer husbandry activities can have negative consequences for the forestry. One such forestry activity is fertilization. It was during the 1960´s forest fertilization began to be practiced and the reason was that the increase in growth that the fertilization gave could be able to cover for the future shortage in wood many feared. During the 1970´s when the fertilizing activities were most intensive about 200 000 ha was fertilized annually.

Knowledge in reproduction in the Swedish lynx (Lynx lynx) is important forseveral reasons. Situated on top of the food chain, lynxes may be at risk of beingexposed to environmental toxins that could have adverse effect on reproduction.The population of lynxes is today managed by restricted hunting which demandsknowledge about both the lynxes numbers and their reproduction. In addition,lynxes may function as indicators of climate change for instance if their season ofheat would be earlier or prolonged due to a warmer climate. Today?s knowledgein reproduction in Swedish lynx is mainly based on information gathered fromradio collared animals.

It´s important when you are about to build a new stable or just increasing your production that you choose the right housing system and that it fits your own farm. In this study I have put together facts about different housing system for fattening bulls in order to get a clearer picture of witch system is the most suitable for my own farm depending on the conditions I have. The background of this work is my own interest for breeding bulls and I will hopefully increase my own production. Due to this I wanted to learn more and increase my knowledge about different housing systems. Through a literature study I have found out the facts about the housing systems I find suitable for housing bulls.

Internpriserna sätts utifrån organisatoriska mål, däribland vinstmaximerande mål, vilket innebär för den multinationella företagsgruppen att den globala vinsten ska bli så stort som möjligt. Följaktligen leder detta incitament till att intäkterna fördelas inom koncer-nen, dels för ett vinstutjämnande syfte och dels i beskattningssyfte, som kan åstadkom-mas genom prissättning på transaktioner mellan företagen i gruppen. Vinstutjämnande syfte kan innebära att moderbolaget skjuter in kapital i ett dotterbolag som presenterar ett underskott genom en högre internprissättning av produkttransaktioner mellan de båda. Dessutom kan det genom en högre prissättning av interna transaktioner ske en dold vinstöverföring genom att företagen överför vinster från företag i ett land med hög skat-tebas till ett land med låg skattebas och på så vis undkommer en högre beskattning. Det ligger således i skattemyndigheternas intresse att interna priser är korrekta och inte manipuleras.

Diskriminerande offentlig upphandling har länge utgjort ett problem inom EU något man försökt åtgärda genom fullbordandet av den inre marknaden i början på 1990-talet. Detta icke-tariffära handelshinder kan jämföras med en subvention och innebär högre inhemska priser och minskad import och därmed snedvridningar på marknaden. De förväntade effekterna av liberalisering av marknaden för offentlig upphandling är därför att priserna ska sjunka och handeln mellan medlemsländerna öka. Denna studie har som syfte att undersöka just vilka effekter den inre marknaden har haft på den offentliga upphandlingen inom EU. Rapporten presenterar förändringar som kan skönjas i handel, importandelen i den offentliga sektorn och priser drygt 10 år efter den inre marknadens skapande och fastställer att den inre marknaden till viss del har medfört att marknaden för offentlig upphandling blivit mer öppen, att offentlig upphandling nu till större del sker över nationsgränserna.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine attitudes and standpoints amongst librarians at the Swedish public library towards literary awards and awarded literature. The questions posed in the study are: What attitudes are expressed amongst these librarians towards the Nobel Prize in literature, the August Prize and literary awards and awarded literature in general? What significance do the Nobel Prize in literature, the August Prize and other literary awards have concerning purchase and display at these public libraries? How is awarded literature perceived and how do they talk about it concerning quality and are questions of quality significant? Qualitative interviews with seven librarians at four different public libraries have been done. Theories regarding J?rgen Habermas the bourgeois public sphere and Pierre Bourdieu?s terms habitus, field and capital have been used as to explain the library as a public sphere.

This study was carried out in Jordan with the purpose to investigate the bacterial microflora of egg shells from cage systems and from deep litter floor systems. Another aim wasto get a general impression of the hygiene, at farm level, of egg production in Jordan andthe factors affecting it.Eggs from two cage systems and three floor systems were analyzed, regarding bacterialcontamination of the egg shells. Egg samples were taken from the storage room, the eggcradle in the cage system and from the nest and floor in the floor system. To get a generalimpression of the hygiene at the farms, swab tests and air tests were performed. Swab testswere performed with a sterile cotton swab at the same units as the eggs were sampled andair tests were performed by opening petri dishes where the hens were staying.

Metaforen priskrig är en term som används för att beteckna kombinationen av en intensiv konkurrens och rivalitet mellan olika aktörer samtidigt som en serie sänkningar av produkters priser. Aktörer sänker sina priser, varpå övriga i priskriget genomför motsvarande prissänkningar till följd av någon sänker priserna ytterligare och handlingen upprepas.Denna uppsats syfte är att undersöka det rådande priskriget inom elektronikbranschen och att utsätta branschen för en omläsning. Vi vill undersöka hur de olika återförsäljarna och ledarna inom dem agerar i priskriget, målet är inte att finna svar eller sanningar utan snarare belysa vad som sker i branschen. För att lyckas med detta har vi presenterat relevanta källor, gjort en skrivbordsanalys och utfört en kvalitativ studie med intervjuer. I vår empiri står vi under texten och arbetar som professionella översättare för att på ett så verklighetstroget vis spegla materialet vi fått från våra intervjuer.

The aim of this study is to study the construction of literary values. I have been looking at how literature awarded with sponsored literary prizes has been reviewed in four major English and American newspapers. I have been studying the reception of literature by Ian McEwan, Hilary Mantel, Colm Tóibín and Zadie Smith between 2000 and 2012. The prizes in focus are the Man Booker Prize, the Orange prize for fiction and the Costa Awards. There seems to be an increasing number of articles related to each author after they have been awarded a prize, however with little change in the content of the reviews.

The Northern Raccoon (Procyon lotor) belongs to the Carnivore-family and is a species endemic to North America. Every year hundreds of orphaned raccoon cubs are admitted into the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota (WRCM), a non-profit organization where all injured or orphaned wild animals are admitted and receive quality health care with the goal of being released out into the wild. The WRCM routinely vaccinate all of the admitted raccoon cubs with a killed feline panleucopenia vaccine, but despite this there are outbreaks of parvovirus infection every year where up to 50% of the admitted cubs have been euthanized or died. The objective of this study was to determine whether vaccinating the admitted raccoon kits has any significant protective effect to developing clinical parvoviral disease. A single-blinded cohort study was designed with two parallel, independent groups. One group was given a dose of killed feline parvovirus vaccine at admission, and the other group was not given any vaccination at all. Assignment to the vaccinated or unvaccinated group was on a per-litter basis and done randomly by drawing lots out of a box.

There are a great possibility to shorten the time between mowing and preservation by spreading of ley crops in connection to the conditioning. In this case the cellular respiration (the plants breeding that consume sugar until the crop is ensiled) should not continue as long and the forage will perhaps get a higher nutritional value. The capacity of the next machine could also be higher because the rake gives swaths with a lot of material. There is also a possibility that spreading of ley crops gives the material a more homogeneous content of dry matter and that gives a reduced growth of clostridium. This is particularly important when the method of harvest doesn?t include any mixing of the material like it does with a round baler or silagewagon.

En del av problemet är att somliga människor väljer att klippa sig svart utanför salonger, ofta hemma hos någon. Uppsatsen behandlar hur frisörbranschen påverkas konkurrensmässigt av detta. Fokus ligger på hur ägare till frisörsalonger påverkas.Två undersökningar har utförts för att utreda problemet. Den första är en kvantitativ ansats, där resultatet från en enkätundersökning visar hur omfattande problemet att klippa sig svart är.
