Gymnasieskolan står inför förändring och vad jag kommer fördjupa mig i denna uppsats är gymnasieskolans utbildningspolitik och dess påverkan på utbildningens utveckling. Därför finner jag det intressant att titta närmare på hur statens utbildningspolitiska styrning tar sig i uttryck i propositionen och hur den språkliga framställningen påverkar de professionellas handlingsmönster.Min frågeställning i uppsatsen lyder: hur påverkar den utbildningspolitiska diskursen gymnasieskolans utveckling? För att besvara frågeställningen kommer den utbildningspolitiska diskursen friläggas genom en Foucaultinspirerad läsning, diskursanalys av propositionen 2003/04:140 Kunskap och kvalitet ? elva steg för utvecklingen av gymnasieskolan.Styrningens makt- och påverkansprocesser som utbildningspolitiken utgör på de professionella både som enskilda individer och som kollektiv grupp till kropp och själ utövar inflytande på och styr individens sätt att tänka, tala och handla och faktiskt begränsar vad som är möjligt att tänka, tala och handla inom en viss praktik. Vad som gömmer sig bakom välpolerade begrepp såsom kunskap och kvalitet i propositionen handlar om traditionella tankemönster och en ansats till att styra mer. The point of departure for this thesis was an article written by Christer Hermansson (2008). He thinks that librarians, following the development of Library 2.0 and the change of public libraries, have strayed away from what he believes should be the focus of the library: Literature. The aim of this thesis is to study how librarians in six Swedish libraries perceive their occupational roles. How does the increased user control, which is seen as part of Library 2.0, affect the tasks of libraries and librarians? The material used in this study was acquired using a qualitative interview technique in which six librarians working in public libraries with experience of IT, mediation and purchase of literature partook.

Vi har i denna uppsats valt att titta närmare på mellanchefens arbetssituation, och vad det är som påverkar denna. Mellanchefers arbete är som vi ser det väldigt hårt pressat. De ska dels föra ledningens mål och visioner vidare till medarbetarna. Dessutom ska de även kunna leda det dagliga arbetet på sektionen. Detta innebär en hög arbetsbelastning på grund av många direktrapporterande medarbetare.

The information society creates new demands on the knowledge making individual; besides being literate one has to be information literate. And in the educational society there is an ongoing change from teaching to learning, the focal point being the active student and life long learning. The aim of this dissertation is to within a context of learning and teaching elucidate the relation between user education and subject education by examining what significance the academic libraries user education has for the development of information literacy within students. Some epistemological theories connected with learning is presented as well as aspects of the information search process and of information literacy. Universities and their libraries view of information literacy and the goal of their user education is being focused on in an empirical study.

Empowerment har blivit ett modebegrepp och används i en mängd olika sammanhang och har därigenom också fått olika innebörder. Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka hur betydelsen av begreppet empowerment har förändrats och belysa vad de olika betydelserna kan bero på.Ifrågavarande litteraturstudie fäster sin uppmärksamhet på två kontexter, inom vilka empowerment tillskrivs skilda innebörder, den freirianska kontexten och folkhälsokontexten.Genom uppsatsen har fyra fundamentala skillnader detekterats mellan de två kontexterna; målet (frihet kontra ökad hälsa), empowerments roll (mål gentemot metod), metoden (folkrörelse från gräsrotsnivå i förhållande till myndighetsutövning) och inriktningen (kollektivistisk visavi individualistisk). Jag har gjort en undersökning om hur intresset för skolkörer ser ut på högstadieskolorna i Malmö. Jag valde att göra både en kvantitativ och en kvalitativ undersökning. Den kvantitativa undersökningen bestod utav enkäter och den kvalitativa undersökningen bestod utav intervjuer av två personer. Tyvärr är det mer än hälften av alla högstadieskolor i Malmö som inte har en skolkör även om intresset verkar finnas hos elever, musiklärare samt hos skolledningen. Method: A literature study was done where qualitative and one quantitative article was reviewed.

"In the eye of the beholder- A didactic study of Swedish teachers and textbooks in history?s reasoning about nine eleven and its aftermath" by Emmy Johansson and Emma Svanström aims to show which picture both teachers and textbooks on elementary school and upper secondary school want to mediate on the subject. The study also strives to compare the teachers view with the textbooks.To achieve these goals the study uses materials from eight interviews and fifteen textbooks. The methods are a combination of interviews and textual analysis inspired by the scientist Elizabeth D. Herman.

Introduction: During the last decades, the development of the communication society has contributed to new patterns of communications among people, but also increased the use of computers and mobile devices. It has become more common to communicate through social medias, which has led to the new phenomena cyberbullying. At the same time, studies have shown an increase in mental health problems among adolescents during the last 25 years. Aim: The aim of this literature review was to investigate and map the characteristics of cyberbullying and its relationship to mental health among adolescents. The aim was also to investigate adolescents own actions to stop cyberbullying.

Swedish university libraries traditionally collect recreational readingmaterial only to support the teaching and research interests of theirinstitutions. However many university libraries hold a substantial yetunspecified collection of popular fiction. This thesis investigates theextent of these collections and examines academic librarians' viewsabout students' recreational reading in the academic context and theirattitudes towards the role of fiction and of readers' advisory inacademic libraries. The theoretical framework includes literature andresearch about the benefits of reading for pleasure, collections' rolesand readers' advisory strategies. The empirical material was gatheredthrough quantitative surveys sent to academic librarians in Sweden.The results show that academic librarians are positive about thebenefits of recreational reading for university students.

AbstractAccording to research made by Statistics Sweden on the members of the labor union IF Metall the number of reported musculoskeletal disorders for employees working under the collective bargaining agreement for the automotive industry has almost doubled since 2003. During 2004- 2006 and 2008 male assembly workers were the occupational group with the highest amount of reported work related disorders in Sweden. To prevent musculoskeletal disorders is according to Rose and Orrenius important both for the individual, the society and the industry by reducing economic and personal costs. The purpose of this paper is to identify and analyze how the manufacturing industry is affected by musculoskeletal disorders that occur when working with line assembly and how companies can prevent them. The report aims to provide the reader with an understanding of what musculoskeletal disorders are, to which extent they occur in assembly, how companies are directed by laws and regulations and how they affect the Swedish manufacturing industry and their employees.

Titel: Rockmusic preferences in the rock programme. Popular culture, music preferences and repertoire inside a teaching institution. This paper raises some questions about the popular music that exists outside as well as inside institutions. From the example of popular music and rockmusic the students of a music teacher education programme based on rock music are asked for their taste for music in a brief questionnaire. The answers are compared to those concerning the music they used to like before they entered the education as well as the music played on the ensemble lessons at the programme.

Background: Animals are used in several health care areas and have been shown to promote many aspects of patients? health. Animals have potential for use in nurses? health promotion work. Nurses need a deeper understanding of the importance and health-promoting properties of animal-assisted therapy.Aim: The aim was to describe the importance of animal assisted therapy for patients? health.Methods: A literature review was conducted based on ten nursing science studies with both qualitative and quantitative approaches, which were selected after critical review.

The aim of this essay has been to increase the knowledge of which resources there are in compulsory school, their function and how they are experienced by teachers and students. By individual interviews I have examined teachers experiences of their work with students in need of support in core subjects. I have also examined how students experiences the help that they get and if they want to change anything. In my essay I have concentrated in a few main questions, such as; which resources compulsory school uses, teachers work with students in needs of support in core subjects, the extension of students needs, how students experience the help that they get, how they feel about education in smaller groups and if there are any differences in needs, among students, connected to gender. Literature has earlier shown that there are too few resources in compulsory school and that students in need of support doesn?t get the help that they need.
