AbstractWe are interested in group meetings of the self-help group Alcoholic Anonymous and the emotional energy created therein. We examine which impact self-help group AA has on its group participants regarding: group meetings, dealing with alcoholism and identity. Group membership has great value for individuals; it provides social identity and possibility to self-value. Previous research shows that group members of self-help groups who have been sober for a period of time experience higher self-esteem and less anxiety compared to non-members. Our thesis is based on a hermeneutic approach.

Syftet med denna studie är att skapa en helhetsbild av vilka attityder som finns kring tv- och dataspel som läromedel inom gymnasieskolan. Utifrån detta så kan man sedan se vart någonstans skolan ligger i denna utveckling. Eleverna och lärarna som deltog i denna studie har alla olika inriktningar samt ämnen då det är helhetsbilden som denna studie fokuserar på.Materialet till denna studie är en enkätundersökning samt djupintervjuer som komplettering. Enkätundersökningen fick ett bortfall från 197 till 154 då det var många elever som inte tog enkätundersökningen seriöst men antalet som fyllde i enkäterna var ändå bra procentuellt.När det gäller lärarnas attityder så är materialet en fokusgrupp som hade olika tv-spels trailers som underlag och fick utifrån det diskutera värdet av spelet som läromedel. Lärarna som deltog i undersökningen var från samma arbetslag men hade aldrig tidigare diskuterat tv- och dataspel som läromedel under sina möten och hade alla olika ämnen.Resultatet visar att det finns ett stort intresse av tv- och dataspel.

The National Council of Swedish Youth Organizations, see the communication,activities and their influence over the organization. I aim to do an analysis of the target group to find out if the lack of involvement in LSU is caused by communication problems.Material/Method: The method of this essay is quantitative and is based upon a web-survey.The chairmen of the member organizations have been asked to answer a survey about the communication in LSU. To get an idea of how widespread different opinions about LSU are the empirical data has been made into graphs to show the frequencies and also cross tabulations to find out if there are any correlations between the variables.Main result: This study has shown that the problem with involvement in LSU is only partly a communication problem. One important result is that many member organizations feel that LSU doesn?t Listen to their opinions and they express a wish to have more influence over the organization.

This essay is based on students' growing lack of interest in science at school. Both from a democratic and social perspective, this is a worrying factor for the future. Through observation, I investigated how five science teachers conduct their teaching. This is to get a better understanding of how teachers' behaviour in the classroom can affect students' interest in science. With a socio-cultural research approach, I have tried to highlight a few pieces of the puzzle that may explain students' declining interest in science.

The radio is a medium we often Listen to whilst doing something else. We wake up, do the dishes, cook or drive to work. Radio as a medium reaches many people, regardless of whether it is through conscious or unconscious Listening. We thereby thought it was an important medium to scrutinize in our study. Mediation of fiction for adult users in Swedish public libraries is a subject which has been little studied from a theoretical perspective. The motivation for this thesis was based on this realization, and the opinion that actual library users too seldom get their voices heard in library and information science-research. The thesis analyzes interviews with seven library users in which they have been asked to talk about the librarys work with mediating fiction. The answers are analyzed using a discourse analytic approach to see how the librarys work with mediating fiction is constructed in the users talk.Two main discourses are identified, one authoritative and one neutral. In the authoritative discourse librarians are talked of as experts who have the knowledge to guide users to the ?right? literature.

Background: In the schools today it is common that teachers talk about children with special needs and children with ?Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder? ? ADHD. You can often hear people discuss about children with ADHD from the teachers point of view, that pupils are hard to handle and that they do not know how to create a good relationship with them. But you seldom hear anyone talk about school from the children?s perspective, how they feel, think and experience their school attendance. Purpose: The purpose of this qualitative study was to examine how a functional disability like ADHD can effect a childs schooling and also to show how pupils with ADHD themselves experience their school attendance and how they are being treated by teachers and other pupils.Method: In order to investigate this, five interviews was carried out with students in the the ages of 16-25.

It always has been a need for the abiltiy to create color proofs. When an error occurs late in the production process, itis allways complicated and difficult to correct the error. In this project, digital proofs been made and discussions havebeen held with several people in the printing industry, in order to examine how well excisting digital proofs, meet thedemand of the market. And how close the digital proofs can come to the actual printsheat from the press. The study hasbeen shown that the one thing that has had the most influence on the outcome for the quality of a digital proof, is theprintshop operator?s knowledge about color management and proofing systems.

Besides the fact of supplying a service of high quality one must as a supplier communicate values which are understandable and desirable for a new buyer. Buying a knowledge based IT-service involves several risks; the consultant might not have sufficient knowledge or have difficulties understanding the corporate culture and collaborating with other staff within the client?s organization. Since services are intangible offers and it can be intricate to put right price level for something which can only be evaluated when the project is finished, puts severe strain on suppliers competing with other companies in the same market when looking for new clients.

Detta examensarbete har utförts i samarbete med en dörrtillverkare i syfte att utveckla ett klämskydd för dörrens låssida. Målet var att lämna ett konstruktionsförslag på en produkt som minimerar risken för klämskador och passar företagets produktserie.Enligt en rapport utgiven av Konsumentverket 1999 drabbas cirka 6500 av klämskador varje år i Sverige. Merparten av dessa sker på dörrens låssida, men trots detta finns idag flest skydd för gångjärnssidan.  Större delen av skadorna skedde till föjd av normal, kontrollerad stängning då någon höll i karmen eller dörren samtidigt som personen själv eller någon annan stängde dörren.Med hjälp av bland annat brainstorming och morfologimatris togs ett antal koncept fram. Dessa sållades med hjälp av genomförbarhetsbedömning och Pugh-matris. Arbetet resulterade i två produktkoncept, en dämpare som bromsar dörren och en skyddslist som vid behov stannar dörren med en kloss.
