Agency theory describes the conflict of interest between the principal (stockholders) and the agent (CEO). Aligning the incentives of executives with those of the owners is the most direct way to mitigate the agency problem. If there is no meaningful link between CEO compensation and company performance, it is doubtful that the large sums of assets in public corporations are being managed efficiently. In theory the solution is simple reward the CEO when shareholders wealth increases. The purpose of this paper is to investigate if there is a relationship between company performance and CEO compensation among Swedish companies, in materials and information technology industry.

The study focuses on mapping how well prepared the counties in the west region of Sweden is in case of restructuring. The study explores what kind of activities and routines that contributes to prepare the organization for restructuring. The study also aims to investigate the effect of precedent restructuring, and if the counties who experienced restructuring are more prepared than others.The research within the field of restructuring characterizes of an evaluating nature and the focus has been after the restructuring occurred. There have also been a lot of studies of the negative consequences on individual and organizational level. Since downsizing is a frequently used method by management despite its consequences is it important to investigate how organizations can learn and thereby be more prepared for restructuring.

The background of this study is the fact that it nowadays is more common to grow wheat after wheat. Usually we plow every autumn to remove the straw, and we wanted to study the effect of alternative methods to do it. We have done this experiment to answer the question if no tillage is better than conventional plowing. The results of the field experiment indicate that there is a link between plant establishment and the choice of equipment, but also a higher weed pressure in experimental plots with only ground tillage. The equipments which left much straw on the top of the ground the problems with fungi were more severe.

As IT service departments in organisations are becoming more complex and customised, the indirect costs are increasing in relation to the total costs. The difficulty of fully estimating and identifying the spread of the cost in the IT service department is increasing. As a result, firms tend to budget the business unit as a total cost rather than as a spread of defined costs. In order to deal with this challenge an ABC calculation will be applied. The Time Driven ABC model will be conducted in OMX´s Servicedesk unit within the IT services.

Syftet med denna slutreflektion är att visa problemen men även möjligheterna i marknadsföringen av spelet Forced2Fight av det lilla teamet i Kick the Owl Productions. Begränsad budget, osäker framtid för både team och spel är något som måste övervinnas. För att kunna angripa dessa problem har jag studerat en rad olika tillvägagångssätt och kommit fram till ett lämpligt tillvägagångssätt riktat åt gräsrötterna för att bygga upp varumärket. Den effektivaste strategin bör i min mening vara att marknadsföra gruppen via traditionella medier och förankra spelet i den relevanta målgruppen direkt via fora och andra sociala medier. Kontakta både framträdande medlemmar i sociala grupper samt expertgrupper bestående av kunniga spelentuseaster.

The purpose of this essay is to examine how administrative officers at the Swedish social insurance agency experience and deal with the goal conflicts they may experience. Furthermore, the purpose is to gain a greater understanding on how they perceive their role in the implementation process, and their position as the link between the citizens and the state. Two potential conflicts are examined; between quantitative goals and performance measures and those more qualitative and hard to measure; between economic values such as cost efficiency and productivity and democratic values such as the rule of law. The other conflict examined is that between implementing and following the laws set forth, take into account the individual needs and interests of the citizen. The theoretical framework consists of Lundquist?s theory on public officers as the guardians of democracy, which means that they should not only implement laws and rules according to political intentions, but also make sure that the democratic values and principles are followed in the relationship between state and citizen.

Den kommunala verksamheten har genom sin storlek och sitt uppdrag en betydande roll för den svenska ekonomin och välfärden. Verksamheten beskylls dock ofta för att vara ineffektiv och en effektivitetsökning har därför länge varit efterfrågad och föremål för debatt. I grunden är detta en fråga om organisationens styrning och vi fann det därför intressant att undersöka hur styrningen sker. Vårt syfte med studien var att beskriva vilka styrmedel som används, varför de valts samt hur uppföljning sker. Vi ville särskilt belysa frågan om effektivitet beaktas vid valet av styrmedel.

The aim of the study is to investigate what pupils in grade 1 think about reading aloud, reading alone, the selection of books, and the significance of reading. A subsidiary aimwas to examine the relation between the pupils? experiences of reading in the home andtheir ability to discuss a text they have read. A sidetrack in the study aimed to see whether the pupils? experiences of reading in the home affected their outlook on readingin general.

The purpose of this study is to propose and formulate quantitative indicators to help measure an aspect of the Environmental Objectives in Swedish legislation: ?A Good Built Environment, Interim Target 2.? The governmental bill 2004/05:150 suggests changes to Interim Target 2: By 2010 built environments of cultural heritage value will be identified and placed under long-term sustainable management. Following the revised formulation regarding sustainable management, indicators should be formulated to measure the fulfilment of sustainable management of built environments of cultural heritage value. An important part of management takes place at the municipal level of planning, where detailed development plans include regulations to protect built environments of substantial cultural heritage value. As a result, this study is focusing upon the regulatory function of the Swedish Planning and Building Act in respect to the built environments of cultural heritage value.

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the employability of newly graduated social workers is affected by the Supervised Practical Work Experience performed during the educational program. Four main questions were developed in order to establish an educated and concise theory: Does the newly graduated social worker?s choice of a specific Supervised Practical Work Experience affect their employability? Does the structure of the Supervised Practical Work Experience affect newly graduated social worker?s employability? What specific skills do employers within social work consider important for their organization? Is there a difference in how the representatives of various organizations within social work answer the aforementioned questions? The study was conducted through six qualitative semi-structured interviews. The people being interviewed work either as employers or recruiters in organizations from different areas within social work. Theories concerning organization and symbolic interactions were used during the analysis of the results.

Syfte: Syftet är att skapa förståelse för hur offentliga sjukvårdsorganisationer har anpassat Balanced Scorecard med avseende på kund- och ekonomiperspektiv.Metod: Studien har genomförts utifrån en kvalitativ forskningsmetod. Studien har inspireratsav ett hermeneutiskt synsätt. Data har samlats in från ett dussin intervjuer som sedan analyserats med hjälp av tidigare forskning.Resultat & slutsats: Balanced Scorecard är begränsad i sin utformning p.g.a. politikerna. Styrkortets ekonomiska perspektiv är lika viktig som de andra perspektiven men perspektivet är begränsat eftersom sjukvården inte kan påverka budget.

Uppsatsens syfte är att bidra till ökad förståelse för vilken betydelse budget- och fördelningsmodeller ? dels Malmö stads gemensamma behovsbudgeteringssystem, dels de stadsdelsspecifika anslags- respektive prestationsfördelningarna ? har för den kommunala verksamheten. Uppsatsen är en kvalitativ studie med deduktiv ansats. Materialet har samlats in genom semistrukturerade intervjuer och enkäter. Utgångspunkt är teorier om budgeteringens syfte och dess roll i kommuner, olika kommunala budgeteringssystem i allmänhet och behovsbudgetering i synnerhet samt betydelsen av väktar- och förkämperollerna i budgetprocessen.

Vid tillfällen då det inte lämpar sig att stå vid en videokamera kan det lösas med ett fjärrstyrt kamerafäste. Exempel på tillfällen är på grund av platsbrist på en konsert, en högtidsceremoni där någon måste stå konstigt till för att få bra bild, ute i naturen där djur ska filmas utan att bli ivägskrämda eller vid personalbrist, en tight budget och måste styra flera kameror samtidigt. De system som finns tillgängliga på amatörmarknaden idag har antingen annan funktionalitet och passar sig inte för ovanstående problem eller har väldigt begränsad räckvidd och går inte att sammankoppla med en mobilapplikation.Detta projekt går ut på att ta fram en kostnadseffektiv och skräddarsydd lösning för ovanstående problem genom att utveckla ett fjärrstyrt kamerafäste i semiproffssegmentet där det via en handkontroll och vid senare skede med en mobilapplikation styr kamerans lutning och rotation även kallad tiltning och panorering.Skillnaderna mellan denna och befintliga lösningar är att med hjälp av Bluetooth-tekniken kan styra både med handkontroll och senare även med en mobilapplikation, anledningen till att det skall kunna styra med båda är att det inte alltid är tillåtet att använda sig av mobiltelefoner i alla miljöer där man vill filma och därför får ett bredare användningsområde för kamerafästet..

Projektledningsmodellen PROPS är framtagen utav Ericsson under 1980-talet. Den gerriktlinjer för hur olika projektarbeten ska fungera och är i den meningen också väldigtgenerell. I dagsläget finns det ingen specifik metod som kompletterar den vidimplementering av standardsystem. Standardsystem är en form av IT-lösning,programvara, som direkt kan tas i bruk. Normalt krävs dock vissa anpassningar såväl isjälva systemet som i företagets verksamhet för att få en fungerande lösning.Studien har i syfte att ta reda på om Välja och Förvalta Standardsystem-metoden (VFS)skulle kunna vara ett komplement till PROPS.

This paper is a qualitative analytic study of the views regarding masculinity of six male university students. The author means to view the gender issue from a male point of view and analyze the empiric result using well known theory on the subject. The main questions of the essay are: What, according to my respondents, is masculine and non masculine? Does the university influence this view, and if so how? How is it to be a man in the society of today? The paper is based around interviews of the six subjects, recorded and transcribed and analyzed in a systematic outline. From this outline relevant themes has been constructed and compared with the theory.
