The main purpose of this study is to explore and develop how the Christian conception of love as agape can be understood in light of feminist concerns, and how it can be cultivated in light of psychological research. Traditionally, agape has been defined as unconditional self-sacrifice for the sake of the other. Feminist theologians have highlighted repeatedly that an ethical principle of self-sacrifice might not be liberating for groups who have already internalized pressure to sacrifice their own needs for others. The main research questions are: 1) How may agape be understood in light of feminist concerns about its traditional interpretations? 2) How could a Christian community cultivate a form of agape that is responsive to feminist concerns? In order to answer these questions, the first part of the dissertation examines feminist concerns regarding discussion of agape, and then uses these concerns as a lens for analysing four themes in contemporary accounts of agape: community, care, humility, and mentalization.

Möjligheten att snabbt kunna utvärdera system är något som blir alltmer aktuellt och populärt. Två metoder som ofta kombineras för att kunna få svar på användares upplevelse och specifika problem med system är användbarhetsenkäter och prototyptestning. Frågan är dock om det finns någon användbarhetsenkät som utvärderar lo-fiprototyper bättre än andra, och hur pass lika lo-fiprototyper utvärderas av olika användbarhetsenkäter.Denna uppsats handlar om hur pass lika användbarhetsenkäterna System Usability Scale (SUS) och Post-Study System Usability Questionnaire (PSSUQ) utvärderar en lo-fiprototyp och om det finns några praktiska skillnader med enkäterna som underlättar eller försvårar när man utvärderar en lo-fiprototyp. Lo-fi-prototypen som testades var en tidig, pappersbaserad version av en att-göralista för handläggare. Testdeltagarna fick först testa att utföra ett par scenarion och interagera med prototypen under 10-15 min, de fick sedan fylla i båda enkäter.Resultaten visade på indikationer att poängen som produceras av SUS och PSSUQ vid lo-fiprototyptestning är lika, men att det skulle behövas vidare studier med fler testdeltagare för att kunna säga detta säkert.

Driving simulators are a very important part of the research that is done at VTI. Enhancing the realism and creating a better driving experience in the simulators are very important and an ongoing work process for the engineers and researchers who work with the simulators. This project has been done as a part of this developing process and the purpose is to enhance the realism of the rear-view mirrors.Simulating realistic rear-view mirrors has been demanded, not only from the researchers at VTI, but also from car and truck manufacturers. To achieve a realistic mirror view a method to measure and parameterize real mirrors has been developed. The code for the existing graphics system has also been redone to be able to handle the new types of mirrors introduced..

In nature there are about 4,500 minerals identified. These can roughly be divided into two groups, opaque phases and non-opaque phases, with the exception that some opaque phases also may act as a non-opaque phase in different circumstances. The division is made on the basis of the optical properties. Opaque phases are nontransparent, which means that a different type of microscope must be used. A conventional microscope uses transmitted light while the microscope for opaque phases or the ore microscope uses reflected light.

Zambia is a country in Southern Africa where poverty is widespread and the traditional keeping of local poultry therefore plays a crucial role in improving nutrition. Meat and eggs from poultry are important sources of protein but also of income. Improving the poultry production is thereby a method to fight poverty. For poultry, the access to light is an important factor for both growth and egg production. In this paper, the focus is on the traditional village chickens used for both egg and meat production, how they are kept, their health and welfare and if the use of a solar lamp will influence their behaviour, growth and egg production. Three studies were conducted in Chibombo and Choma Districts in Zambia were 17 farmers were interviewed regarding the village chicken management of which six farmers participated in a solar lamp experiment.

This thesis describes redesign and adaption of a products housing. In order to make it more economical to produce at a lower production volume. The thesis is based upon a prototype that a previous student developed for injection moulding. The goal is to find alternative manufacturing methods, but also to identify parameters that affect the cost of the injection moulding tool.The housing must be tough in order to protect the circuit board inside. But at the same time it must allow sound, light an electrical communication to pass through.

Tillverkning av kemikalier för bl.a. pappers- och massa industri är en väsentlig del av Wibax koncernens verksamhet. En ny produktionsanläggning för framställning av flytande aluminiumsulfat, WiAL, togs i bruk i december 2004. Trots att framställningen av aluminiumsulfat inte är särskilt komplicerad, bör den ändå vara vältrimmad för att vara lönsam för företaget självt och ge en produkt av bästa kvalitet för Wibax kunder. Eftersom anläggning var helt ny saknade den historia och det fanns ett behov av att kartlägga processen och studera hur den uppförde sig.

Att en destination utstrålar en stark och positiv image har blivit en viktig faktor för att attrahera turister. En negativ global image av en destination kan bidra till en minskad turism. I denna studie söks en förståelse för hur Amsterdams image påverkas av sex- och drogturismen i staden. Teorier som bemöter primära och sekundära turistattraktioner, sökandet efter nöjes/meningsfulla upplevelser och image segmentering har satts i relation med insamlat empiriskt material hämtat från två enkätundersökningar samt tre semi-strukturerade intervjuer. Studiens analys visar att sex- och drogturismen genererar både en positiv och negativ image för Amsterdam i koppling till vad som är moraliskt riktigt.

The aim of this final thesis is to make it easier for the customer of a new designed house to get a picture of what the house will look like inside before it has been built.A method, which can be applied by any construction company who likes to visualize there buildings, has been designed and tested. One works after a regular design planning which is transformed into a three dimensional model of the house. In a rendering program, materials and surfaces are chosen for the model and then a picture of the finished product is made. The programs used for this work are ADT 2006 and VIZ Render.To evaluate the use of this method I?ve chosen to cooperate with LB-Hus which is a housing company that is specialized in building detached houses.

Denna rapport syftar i att undersöka och jämföra två förenklade motion capturesystem. Det ena systemet innefattar två kameror, och det andra systemet innefattar endjupseende kamera. Problematiken med båda systemen är deras begränsade synfält.Om skådespelaren står riktad mot en kamera så kan den kameran inte se en arm somförs bakom ryggen.Min metod för att göra undersökningen var att filma ett antal olika typer av rörelsermed båda systemen och sedan utvärdera och jämföra den data som systemengenererade, dels genom att testa att applicera den på en 3D-karaktär, och dels genomatt se hur pass bra ofullständig data kunde repareras. Vissa rörelser filmades fleragånger, i olika riktningar. Undersökningen har resulterat i olika slutsatser om de bådasystemen.Att använda två kameror innebar en väldigt tidskrävande process i jämförelse medden djupseende kameran, och skådespelaren var begränsad till att stå riktad mer ellermindre mot kamerorna.

Denna rapport beskriver ett examensarbete där optiska fibrer av plast integrerades i varpled i en väv. Syftet med examensarbetet var att undersöka om det är möjligt att industriellt producera ljusemitterande vävar med optiska fibrer. Arbetet delades upp i olika delar, både teoretiska och praktiska. Den teoretiska delen innebar informationssökning inom olika medier, såsom vetenskapliga artiklar och intervjuer med insatta människor inom de berörda områdena. Den praktiska delen i examensarbetet bestod av flera olika moment.

This thesis has been carried out in collaboration with the IT Company MPQ consulting AB in Halmstad. The task we were assigned by MPQ concerned the development of a scooter that can be used year round. We have with the companydeveloped the criteria and requirements for the product in which the goal is toproduce a primary solution that meets the set criteria and fall within the project'sboundaries.The project involves a wide range of different design methods for idea generationand idea development. The project also addresses engineering methods such asprinciple and primary engineering. The fitting room is an important part of a clothing store, it's often where the customer decides if they want to buy the garment or not. Therefore it is important that the customer can feel safe and comfortable when they are trying the clothing. A typical fitting room in Sweden today has only one bright spotlight that emits light either towards the face or from the ceiling above. This study explores possible lighting solutions that take into account the customer's experience in the fitting room.The study aim to increase understanding of the importance of a good light in fitting rooms, so that customers gets a nice experience and that clothes, body shape and facial features are shown in a natural way. The issue therefore included how lighting can affect the customer's perception of the clothing and how the perception of body shape, facial features and the clothes change in different lighting solutions.To answer these questions, observations were made in various clothing stores, followed by an experimental study divided into two parts.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka om det går att förbättra uthålligheten och testvärden hos yngre kvinnor. Detta genom attträna uthållighetsträning endast två gånger i veckan, ett gemensamt pass samt ett pass på egen hand, under åtta veckor. I studien medverkade 15 kvinnor och det som undersöktes var om kvinnornas tid på tre kilometers löpning kunde förbättras.Vidare studerades om pulsen vid målgång, en minut efter målgång samt om vilopulsen kunde förbättras från första Coopertestet innan träningsperioden till andra Coopertestet efter träningsperioden. Resultatet visade att uthålligheten troligtvis kan förbättras hos yngre kvinnor genom att endast träna tvåuthållighetspass per vecka under en åtta veckors period, dock behöver deltagaren följa träningsprogrammet noggrant och ta utsig på varje träningspass, vilket samtidigt kräver en hög motivation för att klara av uppgiften..

Detta examensarbete har utförts i samarbete med arkitektkontoret Equator, som ärbeläget i Stockholm. Syftet med vårt uppdrag har varit att ta fram ett intresseväckandebildmaterial för receptionsmiljöer. Vårt fokus låg i att förstå hur man bäst förmedlar rumi bilder. Den övergripande frågeställningen var; hur får man i en bild, information omrummet och dess rymd?Metoder vi använde oss av för att nå vårt mål var litteraturstudier, enkätundersökningoch utprovningar.
