In the west part of Trelleborg, on previous farmland a new society is under construction. It is situated right next to the ocean and close to the European freeway. Eight types of villages, all with different kind of architecture will be built in the area, one of them is Torns Village built by Skanska and Ikea. A concept called BoKlok. This specific village consists of twelve houses and five apartment buildings. They are all somewhat classical in their appearance with wooden panel, but at the same time they have a modern touch.

Uppsatsen analyserar allmänna socialpsykologiska mekanismer som påverkar och utformar relationerna mellan olika samhällsgrupper. Stor vikt lägges vid frågor kring attitydsbildning, attitydernas sociala funktioner, den sociala och nationella identitetens betydelse och förekomstens av etniska stereotypier. Särskilt undersöks hur pass mycket påverkas individuella attityder av rasistiska ideologier som tilldelar olika etniska grupper och tillhörande individer bestämda platser i samhällsordningen. Författaren analyserar svenska förhållanden för att utröna om rasismens moderna formerr, som de idag tolkas av utländska IMER-forskare, förekommer också här i landet. Särskilt intresse ägnas åt frågan, om negativa etniska attityder, fördomar och diskriminerande handlingar är individuella patologier eller avspeglar samhällets traditionella normer, värderingar och prioriteringar.

The aim of this Bachelor?s thesis is to obtain understanding and knowledge about how literary scholars collaborate regarding information. Seven scholars have been studied in the aim to find out social and cultural elements which create particular prerequisites for their practice, with focus on information sharing. The method used has consisted of semi-structured interviews. The informants have been studied from a socio cultural and domain analysis starting point, which means that they are studied in the light of being members in their practice.

Since the beginning of 2007 Stockholm Resilience Centre has produced scientifictransdisciplinary research in the subjects of sustainability and resilience. There is a highambition to communicate the results of the research to key stakeholders. One of the targetgroups is policy makers, because the mission identifies this group as important when reachingfor the main goal (vision) of the research institute. The media of choice is an e-newsletterwith the latest resilience research produced within Stockholm Resilience Centre. It is at thesame time an opportunity to bring forth the organisations objective connected with the vision.The newsletter is studied in the light of marketing communication with the purpose to clarifythe needs of policy makers, examine the limits and possibilities of the media and theorganisational aspects with the intention to give guidelines concerning the development of thenewsletter.

This essay casts light on the quantitative aspect of the media representation of foreign news. The purpose of the essay is not only to describe the media representation of the countries of the world, but also to explain the representation out of structures that are mirrored by the mass media. Four hypotheses are stated that are operationalized in the research. These are treating four different factors that are believed to affect the representation, economy, geographical distance, cultural distance and the size of the population. A fifth hypothesis is stating that economy is the most influential of the factors.

Vad är landsbygd, ur ett politiskt perspektiv? Finns det ens någon landsbygdspolitik hos de olika riksdagspartierna? Landsbygden som politisk fråga hamnar många gånger i skymundan. I denna uppsats undersöks det hur de olika partierna ser på landsbygden, vad de vill satsa på samt vad de vill förändra utifrån deras politiska texter. Uppsatsen riktar in sig på tre nuvarande riksdagspartier, Miljöpartiet, Vänsterpartiet och Centerpartiet. För att besvara mitt syfte och frågeställning, så använder jag mig utav textanalys. De olika partitexterna som partierna har valt att publicera, granskas för att förstå sig på vilka väljare partierna riktar sig till och vad de vill genomföra på landsbygden.

This comparative study explores Swedish and Danish teachers? perspectives on students with intellectual disabilities and their education. The research focuses on the 1960s, a pivotal decade marked by paradigm shifts from medical to socio-constructivist views on intellectual disabilities. Through qualitative text analysis of articles from the Nordic Journal of Special Education (Nordisk tidskrift f?r specialpedagogik), this study examines how teachers described these students, the prevailing norms versus perceived deviations, and their proposed teaching strategies.

In this thesis a transport system is sought after thatif realised in the city of Uppsala could provide bothwell-being to all its inhabitants and sustainability,here jointly refered to as liveability. It is found thatthe car dominated transport system that is inoperation today provides two fundamental values,namely accessibility in both time and space, whichsets it apart from other transport solutions. Thesetwo values are of immense importance for theliveability in our modern world. On the other handthe car dominated system decreases the liveabilityof Uppsala in several different ways. Some of theseproblems, it is argued, could be solved within thecar system, through the adoption of moreenvironmentally friendly cars etc., but otherproblems are inherent in the car system and willremain no matter what changes are made.

Vi, två studerande vid Karlstads universitet, har efter önskemål från IBM intervjuat tre representanter från utvalda svenska tillverkningsföretag om hur de ställer sig till Linux på klientsidan och sedan jämfört detta med vad IT-analysföretag anser om Linux och enövergång till detta på klientsidan. Vi har även utfört en djupintervju med en anställd på IBM för att ta del av deras syn och åsikter om varför de valt att satsa på Linux på klientsidan och vägt in detta i våra intervjuer med tillverkningsföretagen.Vi frågar oss, är det någon skillnad i uppfattning mellan hur olika IT-analysföretag ser och skriver om Linux och hur markanden ser på Linux och vad de egentligen tycker?Att Linux kommer gå en ljus framtid till möte är samtliga involverade parter i vår uppsats eniga om. Trots detta skiljer sig deras åsikter om vilket operativsystem som är det mest kostnadseffektiva, IT-analysföretagen säger Linux, tillverkningsföretagen säger Microsoft. En ökad konkurrens på marknaden ser samtliga som positivt men poängterar att det måste finnas ett verkligt skäl till en övergång då det kostar mycket pengar och att det är så pass mycket att tänka på..

The purpose of this essay was to examine the role of the acquisition of the Swedish language for integration of adult immigrants given by the seven parties currently in the parliament and other players on the field. The questions were meant to bring light upon the arguments used by the different players concerning the role of the Swedish language, to enlighten which discourses that are constructed, and the contradictions that exist between these. We parted from a postmodern position and used social constructionism to back up our method and theory of analysis; discourse theory. The results revealed three different discourses concerning the role of the Swedish language in the integration process; the liberal discourse, the discrimination discourse and the social democratic discourse. The liberal discourse claims that immigrants have a responsibility to learn Swedish to be able to achieve employment and to provide for themselves.

Urban planning in Sweden goes back to a prolonged tradition, and even since the beginning of the 16th century there´s been general plans for urban planning for cities in Sweden.Nowadays every municipality has a directive from the government to establish or re-new the general master plan covering the whole municipality every 4th year.The aim of this paper is to illustrate and shed light on the extent for the planning document and guidelines, and how they change from every active period and in what extent the provisional planning reaches its visions regarding the outcome of the actual city growth. This study was completed by studying the position of every apartment building that?s been constructed for the chosen area over the years of 2000 - 2014 and draw comparisons between the current master plan main visions regarding constructions ? and comparing the two separate visions to pin out the differences in the same subject.The result shows that there are some deviations from the plans but not as much as one would have thought in the city growth, and some deviations from the different planning documents. Some of the deviations was greater than others but overall the visions was about the same..

Målet med examensarbetet var att undersöka om det var möjligt att genomett kompatibilitetsbibliotek se till att Eneas realtidsoperativsystem OSEckkan uppfylla kraven i operativsystemsstandarden OSEK.OSEck visade sig tillhandahålla all efterfrågad funktionalitet och ett kompatibilitetsbiblioteksom innehöll OSEK?s API kunde därmed implementeras.Ett verktyg togs fram för att utifrån en fil, innehållandes objekt beskrivna iOSEK?s konfigurationsspråk OIL, plocka ut den information som behövdesf¨or att konfigurera både OSEck och OSEK.Slutsatsen av examensarbetet blev att det gick att göra OSEck OSEKkompatibeltgenom ett yttre lager och att inga ändringar i OSEck?s kärnavar nödvändiga. Givetvis påverkar lagret operativsystemets prestanda negativtmen det får ändå anses att dess prestanda fortfarande är så pass braatt en integration i OSEck?s kärna ej behövs.För att ett operativsystem ska kunna göras OSEK-kompatibelt måste detha prioritetsbaserad schemaläggning samt att task som blir avbrutna hamnarförst i sin prioritetskö. The characteristic of services as an effort carried out in a "moment of truth" implies a risk for failures. This study sheds new light on how alternative offerings that customers are initially exposed to can affect satisfaction and loyalty in the service failure and recovery context. More specifically, two aspects of the initial offering are studied: promised general service quality and the presence of a promise about a specific product attribute. Based on a presentation of the main theoretical perspectives, hypotheses are formulated and a scenario-based experiment in a hotel setting is designed to explore these. The results indicate that a higher level of promised service quality can result in more positive evaluations of satisfaction and stronger word-of-mouth intentions than for a lower level of promised service quality.

Den 8 januari 2005 drabbades södra Sverige av stormen Gudrun, detta resulterade i att ca 272 000 ha skogsmark skadades i Götaland, och av denna yta var 64 % så pass hårt drabbade att föryngringsplikt inträdde. I jämförelse med skogsägarna som drabbades hårt av de ekonomiska konsekvenserna fick hjortdjuren en ökad fodertillgång och gavs möjlighet att öka i antal. Syftet med denna studie var att analysera eventuella trender och samband i frågan om betesskador orsakade av de större hjortdjuren före och efter stormen Gudrun och om detta i sin tur kunde kopplas till tillgången på foder och populationens storlek av de större hjortdjuren. Med data från riksskogstaxeringens inventeringar av fodertillgång har vi gjort beskrivande analyser och statistiska analyser i Minitab. Vi har kunnat konstatera att viltfodret har ökat, betesgraden för björk och övriga viltfoder arter har minskat och tallens betesskador har förändrats mellan perioderna 2000-2004 och 2008-2012. Studien kartlägger vanliga adjektivliknelser i svenska bloggtexter ur två aspekter, vilka adjektiv och substantiv som förekommer tillsammans i konstruktionen ADJEKTIV som en/ett SUBSTANTIV samt deras grad av konventionalisering. Tidigare forskning visar att liknelser är svårdefinierade, vilket tas upp i bakgrunden. Materialet är hämtat från fem korpusar med svensk bloggtext. Resultaten visar att de vanligaste adjektivliknelserna föredrar att knyta an till ett eller några substantiv. Däremot finns det visst utrymme för produktivitet.
