BAKGRUND: Diabetes typ 2 har på senare år ökat lavinartat över hela världen. Ohälsosamma levnadsvanor såsom felaktig kost och fysisk inaktivitet är ofta orsaken. Att göra en livsstilsförändring för att förhindra sjukdomen eller för att minska symtomen kan upplevas som en svårighet. SYFTE: Syftet med denna litteraturbaserade studie var att belysa patienters upplevelser av livsstilsförändringar i samband med diagnosen diabetes typ 2. METOD: Studien är en kvalitativ litteraturbaserad studie som är baserad på 12 vetenskapliga artiklar.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att ge en bild av den livsstil som boende i en ekoby har. Detta har gjorts genom en analys med en teoretisk modell innehållande värden, attityder och handlingar. Två informanter har intervjuats för att ge förståelse för hur värden och handlingar stämmer överens och om det finns genomförda handlingar som inte bottnar i grundläggande värden. Resultatet visar att beslutet att bo i en ekoby är väl genomtänkt och grundas på viktiga värden. Strävan efter att leva ett enkelt liv är det centrala, vilket kopplas ihop med global rättvisa.

The aim of this master's thesis is to describe the role of language and culture as ethnical identification factors and illustrate how these have been used as political weapons by the Serb regime in Kosovo during the last decade. The thesis discusses the concept of ethnicity, the relations between the politics of identity, nationalism, ethnic mobilization and the importance of language and culture. Kosovo has historically been characterized by severe ethnic antagonism between Serbs and Albanians. Different languages, cultures and religions beside political processes led to ethnic cleavages that paved the way for ethnocentrism, ethnonationalism, chauvinism, ethnic cleansing and civil war. Since 1989, the Serbian authorities have intervened in all important spheres of life, in an attempt to Serbianize Kosovo.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine how identity formation is described in a few Swedish youth novels written in the 21^st century. We apply the theories of the psychiatrist Jan Ramström and the sociologist Anthony Giddens who both assume that identity is formed in relation to the environment. Ramström stresses that adults have an important role to play in the integration of the adolescents into the adult society. Giddens stresses that people in the late modernity are affected in their identity formations because of the loss of traditions. In order to find out how identity is formed, four main questions were constructed.

Weekly Lifestyle magazines constitute an important role for many young people these days. Their purpose is to inform and entertain a broad public within subjects such as fashion, friends, relationships, men and beauty. Frida and Veckorevyn are two big magazines that have a big influence on young women. One subject that frequently occurs is articles about men, written by women. This study focus on how (with which qualities and weaknesses) these women choose to subscribe men.

A quart of the of the adult population worldwide havemetabolic syndrome. A sedentary lifestyle, low physicalactivity, combined with wrong eating habits, stress,smoking and psychosocial factors, are the main causes ofdevelopment of the metabolic syndrome. The purpose ofthe literature review was to illuminate the physicalactivity in persons who have the metabolic syndrome, andwhat sort of advice a nurse use in the promotion ofphysical activity. The study was conducted as a literaturereview, including 15 scientific quantitative articles. In tenarticles, the focus was on physical activity at themetabolic syndrome, and five articles focused on variousforms of counselling for physical activity.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att undersöka om det finns stöd i vetenskaplig litteratur för att gruppundervisning för individer med typ 2-diabetes stimulerar till livsstilsförändringar.

Hypertoni är vanligt förekommande i dagens samhälle och anses därför ha blivit en folksjukdom. Uppskattningsvis har 1,8 miljoner av Sveriges vuxna befolkning hypertoni. Hypertoni står för cirka 13 procent av den totala dödligheten i världen, och ses som en riskfaktor till ett stort antal hjärt- och kärlsjukdomar. Idag finns det internationella riktlinjer för vård av hypertoni i bland annat England och USA. Dock saknas det specifika svenska riktlinjer för vård av hypertoni.

Syfte med studien var att beskriva motiverande samtal som användbar metod i hälso- och sjukvårdspersonalens hälsofrämjande arbete med patienter som är i behov av livsstilsförändringar. Metod var en deskriptiv litteraturstudie som inkluderade 12 stycken vetenskapliga artiklar med både kvalitativ och kvantitativ ansats. Litteratursökningen gjordes i databaserna Medline/PubMed och Cinahl. Resultat visade att motiverande samtal är en användbar metod framförallt för sjuksköterskan men är även användbar för all hälso- och sjukvårdpersonal. Resultatet visar även att motiverande samtal är en användbar metod i det hälsofrämjande arbetet utanför vårdrummet.

BACKGROUND: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a slow progressive disease affecting the family caregivers by limiting their lifestyle. Subsequently the situation can be experienced as stressful for both the afflicted and the relatives. To easier understand the needs of the caregivers of family members suffering from COPD have, it is important to get an insight into their experience of every-day life, so that medical staff can help, support and promote their health according to their needs. AIM: To illustrate caregivers? experiences of living with a family member suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

The purpose of this study has been to examine how customers, by interacting with each other, can communicate and create the image of a brand. We find this topic to be relevant since there are no previous studies conducted concerning the customers influence on the brand image. Our ambition has been to describe in what ways and to what extent the customer can affect and influence the brand image by communicating with other customers. To fulfill our purposed we have targeted three important questions which are:? In which ways can the customer affect the communicated image of a brand?? To what extent can the customer influence the brand image and the perceived value?? Who has control over the brand, the customer or the company?For this study we have used a qualitative approach in which we have conducted eight personal interviews with brand consultants and the editor of the magazine Dagens Media which has given us the foundation for our analysis.

This Bachelor's thesis in Environmental Science studies the quality of an index of performance measurement of Swedish municipalities' sustainability governance offered by the environmental magazine Miljöaktuellt. Executed for six consecutive years, this evaluation is arguably the most comprehensive and widely spread local sustainability assessment in Sweden. Contextualizing this quantitative measurement tool in the paradigm of New Public Management, the research questions posed are: 'to what extent does the index employed by Miljöaktuellt correspond to the requirements of a set of quality criteria for sustainability assessment?' and 'is the index appropriate as a measure of, or a goal for, Swedish municipalities' internal sustainability efforts?' Through the perspective of evaluation theory, Miljöaktuellt's index is seen as a performance evaluation, thus categorizing this study as a meta-evaluation. Through a qualitative thematic approach, the index is analyzed using the 8 BellagioSTAMP-principles that were developed as tools for assessing quality of sustainability assessments as themes for the analysis.

Den här uppsatsen undersöker de diskurser som kan formuleras kring hur tatuerade personer talar om sig själva och om tatueringskonsten, utifrån en diskursanalytisk studie av intervjuer i Scandinavian Tattoo Magazine. Uppsatsens teoretiska och metodologiska ramverk är byggt kring Marianne Winther Jørgensens och Louise Phillips diskursteoretiska begreppsbygge, som i sig framförallt grundas i Ernesto Laclaus och Chantal Mouffes diskursanalytiska begrepp. De formulerade diskurserna; sexualitetsdiskursen, ironiseringsdiskursen, möjligheternas diskurs, individualitetsdiskursen och maskulinitetsdiskursen, har diskuterats utifrån begrepp tagna från Mary Douglas (renhet och fara), Slavoj ?i?ek (cynism) samt Peter L. Berger och Thomas Luckmann (typifieringschema och face-to-face-situationen).Uppsatsens analys visade att kvinnor inte bara föredras som representanter för tatuering i tidskriftens intervjuer, utan också att de, till skillnad från männen, sexualiseras kraftigt.

Background: The district nurses profession has traditionally been health promotion. In order to find patients with excessive alcohol intake, district nurses use AUDIT. Research shows that health professionals find it difficult to face alcohol abusers in primary care. AIM: The aim is to describe how district nurses work with AUDIT.
