Syfte med studien var att beskriva motiverande samtal som användbar metod i hälso- och sjukvårdspersonalens hälsofrämjande arbete med patienter som är i behov av livsstilsförändringar. Metod var en deskriptiv litteraturstudie som inkluderade 12 stycken vetenskapliga artiklar med både kvalitativ och kvantitativ ansats. Litteratursökningen gjordes i databaserna Medline/PubMed och Cinahl. Resultat visade att motiverande samtal är en användbar metod framförallt för sjuksköterskan men är även användbar för all hälso- och sjukvårdpersonal. Resultatet visar även att motiverande samtal är en användbar metod i det hälsofrämjande arbetet utanför vårdrummet.

BACKGROUND: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a slow progressive disease affecting the family caregivers by limiting their lifestyle. Subsequently the situation can be experienced as stressful for both the afflicted and the relatives. To easier understand the needs of the caregivers of family members suffering from COPD have, it is important to get an insight into their experience of every-day life, so that medical staff can help, support and promote their health according to their needs. AIM: To illustrate caregivers? experiences of living with a family member suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

The fact that animals have feelings is something that is commonly agreed. Many authors showhow animals' views of their environment is quite similar with human views. Animals, whichare slaughtered without prior stunning, find the moment of slaughter unpleasant and stressing.This is shown in numerous of scientific studies. Background: The district nurses profession has traditionally been health promotion. In order to find patients with excessive alcohol intake, district nurses use AUDIT. Research shows that health professionals find it difficult to face alcohol abusers in primary care. AIM: The aim is to describe how district nurses work with AUDIT. Method: Semi-structured interviews with six informants were carried out.

Automatic rumination measuring can be applied as a health indicator in dairy farming but is also highly desirable for research purposes. This study aimed to validate the technical functionality of the product RuminActTM, which employ acoustics to monitor rumination duration. The time budget of high yielding cows was studied and possible differences in rumination time between 13 rations were interpreted. Further the study examined what affects daily rumination and rumination efficiency. The validation was performed with direct observations that were compared to the automatically recorded rumination durations.

The aim of this study was to describe the mental and social causes to obesity among children and adolescents, their consequences and what preventive interventions that are used. The method used by the authors was to search for scientific articles in the database Medline, using the keywords: obesity, overweight, child, body image, social, family, school, depression, nursing, quality of life, social support, prevention and support. The study was performed as a literature review, with a descriptive design, and the result contained 22 scientific articles. The main result of this study showed that obesity among children and adolescents is not only an individual problem, it affects the whole family. The main causes to obesity among children and adolescents are the socioeconomic status of the family, their lifestyle, and even gender to a certain degree.

The aim of the essay is to analyze destructivity and the aspiration of artistry in August Strindberg´s debut novel Röda rummet. By the method of close reading the thematic analysis is performed. The method is also based on an hermeneutic way of looking at literature.A historical context is adapted and the characters are compared to historical descriptions of artists such as bohemians, decadents and dandys. The artists of the novel prove to be, like the bohemians of the 19th century, standing outside and against society, although the presence of relations and cultural exchange seem to be just as important. There is also an ambivalence to be found in their relationship with the city and it´s lifestyle.The question at issue is how the development of the characters´ artistry come about, and in what ways the characters are influenced.

Bakgrund: Rökning skapar både ett fysiskt och ett psykologiskt beroende vilket gör vanan svår att bryta. En del av sjuksköterskans ansvarsområde är att arbeta hälsofrämjande och att använda sig av kunskapsbaserade metoder. En av dessa är Motivational Interviewing (MI) som är en patientcentrerad samtalsmetod som kan användas inom omvårdnad i syfte att hjälpa patienter till hälsofrämjande livsstilsförändringar. Inga tydliga riktlinjer finns dock för metodens effektivitet vid rökavvänjning. Syfte: Att undersöka forskningsresultat som stödjer eller avfärdar MI som rökavvänjningsmetod.

Bakgrund: Människors sätt att leva har under det senaste århundrandet förändrats.Detta har lett till att diabetes typ 2 har ökat runt om i världen. Diabetes typ 2 är enkronisk sjukdom som leder till höga blodsockervärden. Det går att fördröjasjukdomsförloppet och undvika komplikationer om man genomför livsstilsförändringar.Förändringarna kan leda till tankar och känslor hos individerna kring deras situation.Det är viktigt för sjuksköterskor med ökad kunskap om hur personer med diabetes typ 2upplever genomförandet av livsstilsförändringar. Ökad kunskap inom detta område kange personer med diabetes typ 2 förbättrade förutsättningar vid genomförandet avlivsstilsförändringar.Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att öka kunskapen om hur personer med diabetestyp 2 upplever livsstilsförändringar. Metod: Allmän litteraturstudie baserad på tolv kvalitativa vetenskapliga artiklar.

Vilka skillnader och likheter kan man se i Damernas Världs representation och tilltal av kvinnan och kvinnligheten och King of Swedens representation och tilltal av mannen och manligheten? Kan studien genom att synliggöra kvinnan och kvinnlighetens representation och tilltal i Damernas Värld samt mannen manlighetens representation och tilltal i King of Sweden, belysa huruvida könen konstrueras i dessa livsstilsmagasin och i så fall hur?.

The objective of this literature study was to describe how the school nurse can adopt the salutogenic perspective in her health promoting work. The articles were examined in order to identify what was written about the school nurse?s work from the salutogenic perspective. In parallel, Eriksson?s, Orem?s, and Newman?s nursing theories were examined from the same perspective.

Bakgrunden beskrivs utifrån ett globalt och svenskt perspektiv hur levnadsvanor påverkar människors hälsa negativt. Den vanligaste ohälsosamma levnadsvanan är övervikt och den ökar globalt samtidigt kan övervikt leda till sjukdomar. Vidare beskrivs motiverande samtal (MI) och vårdande samtal som kan vara en del i behandlingen vid livsstilsförändringar. Problemformuleringen beskriver sjuksköterskans roll i arbetet med patienters livsstilförändringar. Syftet är att belysa patienters upplevelser av motiverande samtal vid livsstilsförändringar.

Swedish studies have shown that more people than expected have problems with leg ulcers and that the yearly cost for treatment per patient is approximately 26 500kr. Since the elderly population is on the rise, there is a need to highlight this growing problem, to make sure that proper assessment tools are used and to improve the standard of care given to patients with leg ulcers. The aim was to show what a difference the nurse can make to patients with leg ulcers. With all types of wounds it is imperative to establish if there is any underlying reasons since certain illnesses can cause more wounds or delay the healing process. The doctor is responsible for making the diagnosis and to prescribe the correct treatment whereas the nurse?s responsibility is for the nursing care and its documentation.
