This essay constitutes an attempt to expose, with reference to contemporary animal research, the limits of Martin Heidegger?s concept of the being of animality in Die Grundbegriffe der Metaphysik (1929/30) and to propose some possible ways to think, within the philosophical style of this particular work, the being of those animals that most distinctly transcends Heidegger?s concept. The essay seeks to address the following question: Do the results of contemporary animal research expose ways of being within animality that withdrawal from Heidegger?s concept of the being of animality in general, and if so, how should we think these new ways of animal being? The motivation to ask this question, I argue, are immanent to Heidegger?s thinking in at least three ways: 1) Because of his standpoint that philosophy cannot, in any meaningful way, create an ontological concept of animality without an orientation towards the results of the positive sciences; 2) Because of the unfinished and tentative character of Heidegger?s analysis, a character that is such that it should be seen, according to Heidegger himself, as an essential point of departure for further thinking; 3) Because of Heidegger?s view that the being of the animal are such that it involves the withdrawal of this very being from any originary access, a withdrawal that necessitates an infinite return to the question concerning the being of the animal. The essay wants to be a continuation of lines that are present in Heidegger?s open-ended thought on this theme rather than to be an external critique that approach the text, which is most often the case, as a closed point of view which we are forced to affirm or reject.

This essay aims to emphasize and clarify the positions that exist within the current globalization debate. The positions are the neo-liberal, the opponents, the pragmatists and the skeptics. The text presents and explains their ideological, moral and political positions and beliefs about the world, the nation state, the society and the individual; in light of Steven Lukes? and Antonio Gramsci's theories regarding the interaction and the relationship between power and hegemony. The methodological starting point is the ideology-critical analysis; in which their arguments in the current globalization debate is highlighted and categorized.

The aim of the study is to investigate conflicts in working lifefrom an individual and a relational perspective, as well as to illustrate how a conflict ishandled as part of a work organisation and a working environment.When a person experiences a conflict at work what do these experiences involve and how dothey affect the well-being of the person involved and the picture he or she has of him orherself?How does a workplace conflict develop over time and how can we understand its origin andcourse?How do individuals experience the way a conflict is handled in a workplace in relation to thestructure of the organisation and leadership?The study is based on a qualitative interview method with threeindividuals who have experienced workplace conflict. Through our study we endeavoured tofind an in-depth understanding conveyed through the Life world perspective of theinterviewees, which is our empirical data. The analysis is related to the study?s background ofearlier research and theory within the field of workplace conflict.On the basis of our study can we illustrate that in order to prevent and handleworkplace conflict, clear communication and individual resources are required; these include:a reflexive ability to work out issues independently.

Projektet görs för Tekniska Högskolan i Jönköping till en kommande kurs somstudenter kan söka sig till för att delta i World Solar Challenge 2013. I kursen ingår att bygga en solcellsbil som man sedan tävlar med.

Team cognition är en teori som beskriver gruppers beslutsfattandeprocesser. Detta arbete utvärderaren modell för team cognition baserat på mutual belief samt analyserar ett kodningsschema som ärbaserat på denna modell. Modellen utvärderades med hjälp av en högpresterande grupp dataspelare(World of Warcraft) vars kommunikation analyserades. Dataspelarnas kommunikation transkriberades och kodades enligt kodningsschemat. Analysen visade att mycket av spelarnas verbala kommunikation berör visuella cues exempelvis andra spelares positionering och aktiviteter.

The purpose of this Masters thesis is to examine how gender patterns are described in the modern picture book. Focus is on the description of men and women and their emotions and living conditions. Do the descriptions follow stereotypes in the form of binary opposites strong/weak, active/passive etc. in which one component of the pair, often associated with masculinity, is privileged or are there examples of breach of normative gender? The analysis is based upon forty of 149 picture books that are presented in a children's book catalogue published by The Swedish National Council for Cultural Affairs Statens kulturråd, in the year of 2000.

Bakgrund: Anorexia nervosa (AN) är en psykisk sjukdom med ätstörning och avmagring som följd av en matvägran och aptitlöshet. Den psykiska hälsan bland unga kvinnor blir allt sämre och under de senaste decennierna har förekomsten av AN ökat. Syfte: Att utifrån unga kvinnors perspektiv beskriva upplevelsen av att leva med AN. Metod: En kvalitativ studie där sex självbiografier har analyserats och sammanställts. Resultat: Fyra teman presenteras (1) att inte kunna identifiera sig med sin diagnos, (2) att finna andrum i aktiviteter och goda relationer, (3) att uppleva ett kaos av existentiella känslor och (4) att känna rädsla för det friska.

In this paper we examine what security is to the individual and how the individual creates and maintains security in their work. The purpose of this paper is to study how the creating of security in working life is performed. We conduct six semi-structured qualitative interviews with permanent employees in the private sector and we encode our material using thematic analysis. We analyze our material and illustrate our problem area on the basis of Anthony Giddens's theory of ontological security and give examples of how security and creating of security is performed at the empirical field with previous studies in the research area. Our survey shows that security for the individual at work seems to be about having continuity in everyday life, financial stability, a permanent employment, a challenging and fun job and a family in good health and good living.

Venous leg ulcers are a chronic disease mostly among elderly individuals. The leg ulcers are often painful and interfere with the individual?s daily life. The aim of this literature review was to describe individuals? experiences of living with venous leg ulcers.

Syftet med denna studie var att utvärdera arbetsmotivation på företaget Norstedts Juridik och att ge underlag för förbättringsarbete. Utvärderingen gjordes med hjälp av en modell för arbetsmotivation, som konstruerades med grund i teori och tidigare forskning. Modellen innefattade åtta dimensioner som tillsammans antogs utgöra arbetsmotivation. Dessa dimensioner var variation, autonomi, signifikans, feedback, utvecklingsmöjligheter, tillhörighet och lojalitet, lön och belöningssystem samt work- life balance. Dimensionerna analyserades i förhållande till de tre bakgrundsvariablerna kön, anställningstid och arbetsenhet och resultaten behandlades i statistikprogrammet SPSS.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the reasons a religious minority leader has to convert to a larger religious group and how the leader chooses to communicate this event in certain daily press. In March 2014 the leader and founder of the Christian and charismatic movement ?Livets Ord? (Words of Life), Ulf Ekman, announced his decision converting to the Roman Catholic Church after a 10 year long process of thinking. The communications of Ekman?s linguistic language in the articles are discussed through two discourse analyzing perspective, Laclau & Mouffe?s and Fairclough?s.

With starting point in the increasing ill-health in Swedish working life today, in form of for example absence due to sickness and early retirement pension, and the knowledge that the working environment effects peoples health in a big extent, I found it very interesting to inquire into how people within the working life experience health promotion and how this can be developed. A qualitative method was used to receive a deeper understanding for the employees? experiences and data was collected through semi structured interviews with employees on a bank called Ikanobanken, in Älmhult. The result shows, among other things, that respondents find responsibility and the opportunity to influence the learning processes and development important. It also became clear that the respondents find participation, motivation, communication and safety essential factors when related to changes in health behaviours.
