Interactive media is constantly increasing in our surroundings and with the innovation of touch-screens, two-way communication with screens has become part of our daily life. Still, this well known way of process information is not often seen in the in-store environment of grocery retailing. Here, interactive media is an unestablished field where empirical studies are invisible within the academic world. The lack of knowledge in which effect interactive digital signage has is one of the barriers of investing in this marketing solution in-store. The main purpose of this study is to examine and describe the effects of interactive digital signage at shelf within grocery retailing.

The purpose of this essay is to try and bring clarity to the question, what is Chick Lit and which factors make it so popular. My thesis  endeavors to explain that it is not only the promise of light entertainment that draws the reader, but also the possibility that in an easy way they can read about existential questions such as self-development  and life -choices.As well as mapping out Chick Lit´s specific characteristics, followed by previous research on the subject and the litterateur?s history, I have found it interesting to discuss the female characters, their personalities and life choice?s against a backdrop of existentialistic philosophy.In my research of this form of literateur I have discovered that chick lit often deals with existential universal problems, and that in order to be entertaining these books must contain a serious element..

Today there is a world-wide interest in alpacas, but there is still limited knowledge about this fascinating animal. There are approximately 350-400 alpacas in Sweden in 2007.

Dåligt samvete och tidspress : en studie om modernt föräldraskap

The purpose of this study was to examine the problematic and frustrating aspects of parenthood in the modern runaway world of today. In other words, we wanted to study how parents in Sweden experienced their life as parents in the beginning of the 21th century.We wanted to find answers to the following questions:What kind of problems do parents experience and how do they deal with these problems?What would parents consider to be typical for them as parents compared to how they remember their own parents?What do parents think about family politics?Do parents think they need parent education?If parents want parent education, why do they want it?To answer these questions we used qualitative interviews. With this method we got information from six parents and five professional parent educators who was kind enough to let us interview them. We also gathered information about the subject through literature and news articles.The result of the study can be divided into three parts.

Denna uppsats behandlar lärares perspektiv på högre undervisning med Second Life som undervisningsplattform. Second Life (SL) är en virtuell värld där olika lärosäten världen runt har egna ?öar? och bedriver olika former av undervisning. Inledningsvis beskrivs vad SL är och hur det kan användas i undervisningssyfte.Här presenteras även de frågeställningar som behandlades, vilka var:?Vilka positiva och negativa aspekter kan lärare uppleva vid användandet av SL som undervisningsplattform?? samt"Hur upplever man som lärare i Second Life skillnaderna i förutsättningar gentemot traditionell klassrumsundervisning??För att belysa problematiken gjordes litteraturstudier om olika pedagogiska modeller och teorier för undervisning i virtuella världar, undervisningsformer, bedömning samt olika typer av problem som kan uppstå.

Beyond these problems, this thesis was also identifying if there was a balance or conflict between social life and studies from a social psychological perspective. This essay is based on five key questions: How does the subjective experience of stress and demands affect the interviewed law students? How do the interviewed law students handle the stress and demands in their studies and in everyday life? Do the interviewed law students consider there is a balance between social life and studies? How do the law students want to present themselves in front of classmates and teachers? What do the interviewed law students consider to be the main goal in life? Method/Material: The material used in this thesis consists of a total of ten interviews with law students of Uppsala University, five women and five men in the ages of 20 - 32.

Digital preservation is a relatively new subject to Swedish archives. Alhough computers have been used for a long time, preservation has been made on paper and stored on shelves. These days a lot of cities in Sweden have investigated how to best secure the digital information for the future through electronic archiving, e-archives. One option is to hand in the information as soon as possible, but to let the producer keep the information ownership yet some time. The idea is to let the producers of the information answer questions and hand out material, since they are more competent on their field.

A common method for measuring habitat quality is to calculate the population density. This method is easy to use, but have been criticized during the last couple of years. In this study, data of population densities was compared with data on reproduction success.

Livskvalitet hos äldre med diabetes typ 2 : en litteraturstudie

 Syftet med litteraturstudien var att undersöka hur livskvaliteten upplevs hos äldre personer över 65 år med diabetes typ 2. Metoden var en beskrivande litteraturstudie. Totalt granskades 14 artiklar. Datasökningen genomfördes i Pub Med och sökorden som användes var type 2 diabetes, quality of life, health-related quality of life och HRQoL. Tre områden identifierades: fysisk, psykisk och social påverkan på livskvaliteten.

Bilddialoger - en studie av flerstämmighet i skolprojektet World of Warcraft

Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka hur möjligheter till flerstämmigt lärande såg ut i ett dataunderstött samarbetsprojekt World of Warcraft i årskurs 6. Frågan angrips med hjälp av metodtriangulering, vars huvuddel består av två lektionsobservationer, vilka förstärks med lärarintervjuer samt elevernas utvärderingar. Jag konkretiserar kartläggningen med produktioner som eleverna gjorde under projektets gång. Som en övergripande teoretisk ram för undersökningen används det sociokulturella perspektivet där relevanta aspekter belyses mer ingående ? flerstämmighet, livsvärldar, lärarens roll och lärande tillsammans.

Background: Each year approximately 30 000 people suffer from stroke in Sweden, often with substantial mental and physical consequences. Those who suffered from stroke handled the situation by mourning what they had lost and by accepting their changed body and life situation. For those who provide care for people who has suffered a stroke help and support was required. The caring science perspective was based upon caring and suffering. Aim: The purpose of this study was to describe family caregivers? experiences of caring for persons who had suffered a stroke.

Personlighetstest för karaktärsval i World of Warcraft

Det här arbetet behandlar frågan huruvida man kan använda etablerade studier av spelartyper och spelarbeteende av främst Bartle och Bateman, för att på ett praktiskt sätt hjälpa spelare att optimera sin spelupplevelse. Målet har varit att ta fram en metod för att hjälpa spelare att hitta den roll i onlinerollspelet World of Warcraft som passar spelarens spelartyp allra bäst och som denne har störst chans att uppskatta spelupplevelsen mest igenom.Detta har gjorts genom ett personlighetstest innehållande 21 frågor baserade på forskning av spelartyper och spelarbeteende. Utifrån testtagarens svar bedöms dennes spelartyp och den klass i World of Warcraft som bäst bedöms passa spelarens preferenser föreslås. Personlighetstestet har testats av en 15 personer stor testgrupp och resultaten visade på ett övervägande positivt mottagande och merparten var nöjda med den föreslagna klassen och tyckte spelartypsbeskrivningen passade dem.Utifrån resultaten av undersökningen dras slutsatser kring att det finns ett stort intresse för en personlighetstest av den typen, och att det har en stor potential att hjälpa både spelare att hitta sin roll i spelvärlden och för spelutvecklare att se vad som lockar i sin spelvärld och vilka spelartyper som de kanske bör satsa mer på att locka om de vill utvidga sin spelarbas..
