Vattkoppor räknas till en av våra klassiska barnsjukdomar. Sjukdomen är i sig relativt ofarlig, men leder till stora produktionsförluster för samhället då individer tvingas vara hemma från arbetet på grund av vård av barn eller sjukskrivning. I flera länder, såsom USA och Tyskland, har man undkommit problemet med stora produktionsförluster genom att införa allmän barnvaccination mot vattkoppor. Denna vaccination har då bara lagts till det redan existerande barnvaccinationsprogrammet i landet. Syftet med denna uppsats är att, utifrån en cost-benefit analys, undersöka vilka ekonomiska effekter införandet av allmän barnvaccination mot vattkoppor skulle leda till i Sverige.

The nurse should respond to the patient's care needs, knowledge of social support for young people with chronic diseases is therefore important. The purpose was to investigate who or which ones provide social support for young people with chronic diseases and what social support contributes to. A descriptiv design where used. The literature search in the database Medline via Cinahl resulted in twelwe articles.

The life cycle of the anadromous Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) can span large geographic, political, and socio-economic boundaries. Management strategies and regulations that only concentrate on small spatial scales often overlook larger basin-wide problems, especially relating to post-spawn seaward migration. In this master thesis one entire migration cycle of wild adult Atlantic salmon in the unregulated northern Swedish river Vindelälven was monitored by radio-telemetry tracking during upstream spawning migration and downstream seaward migration back to the Baltic Sea. The effect of ladder passage variables (time to pass, total time in the ladder, passage day over the ladder) at a fish ladder downstream in the river Umeälven, as well as fish size, were evaluated to determine if differences in upstream migration distance in the river Vindelälven could be observed. Ladder passage variables did not affect migration distance, but size exhibited a negative relationship to migration distance.

The purpose of this study was to describe experiences in daily social life of parents of children with psychotic illness. Five parents with long-term experience of psychotic illness have been interviewed. The frame of reference in emotion theories of Thomas Scheff and Randall Collins have been used to analyze the results. The study is qualitative and has a phenomenological approach to shed lights of meanings in daily social life. The following meanings was found: Openness with certain reservation shows that honesty is important for the feeling of solidarity, Social expectations in daily life describes the parents´own expectations as well as expectations from others.

The ISO standard ISO/IEC 17799/SS-627799-2 is a guidance for organizations to realize their information security goals. In spite of this standard, studies show flaws regarding information security in organizations. In particular flaws regarding overall view, knowledge and clear roles and responsibilities have been observed. The ISIT (Information Security Integrated Three level) model and its guidelines, developed in this thesis, help organizations to identify the required processes and procedures as well as the logical process flow. The thesis is based on theoretical studies and a case study within a multinational company.

This essay addresses the issue of stress by income earners in Sweden 18-64 years old and any possible relationship to their social ties and the individualization process. The data were collected through a questionnaire, sent out to about 185 working men and women. The results showed a relationship between fewer social ties in everyday life and perceived stress of the individual. The result also showed a relationship between higher degree of individualization and stress. Both of these correlations is confirmed by previous research on the concept of work-life and theory of the new individualism.One of the most interesting results the study showed was that there was none relationship with gender and perceived stress in the individual.

Three methods of sensitivity and unceartainty analysis have been applied to the operative stormwater- and recipient model StormTac. The study area is the watershed of lake Flaten in the municipality Salem. StormTac?s submodels for stormwater, pollutant transport and the recipient are cosidired. In the sensitivity assessment, the model parametres and inputs were varied one at a time by a constant percentage according to the ?one at a time? (OAAT) method and the response of the outputs were calculated.

Geografiska Informationssystem (GIS) kan standardisera processen för att identifiera flera möjliga korridorer.Syftet med detta examensarbete är att ge rekommendationer på hur GIS, särskilt cost path och känslighetsanalys, kan användas vid planering av nya järnvägskorridorer. The study emanates from the national quality registry for persons with severe and profound hearing impairment. The aim was to examine possible differences between signing deaf and adults with acquired severe hearing loss, with reference to self-assessed problems, how the hearing loss influences daily life.In total 234 adults aged 30-90 years were included (128 women, 106 men). In the registry, there are background variables and questions that the patients have answered. The results, indicated on a visual analogue scale (VAS) from 0-100, from a question ?To which extent does your hearing loss at present influence your life?? were analysed.The study was performed by pooling the results of VAS and dividing the patients into signing deaf and those with acquired severe hearing loss, and in age groups 30-60 and 61-90 years.

Mötet mellan det yttre och det inre, mellan det materiella och det immateriella är ett tema för detta arbete. Konsten och konsthantverket har en unik möjlighet att utforska och förmedla erfarenheter och kunskaper som finns i våra kroppar. Kunskap som vi ännu inte greppat med vårt intellekt.

This bachelor thesis has the purpose to visualize and document the air movementsprovided by different ventilation principles in an operating theatre. The visualizationwill be made as simple as possible in a physical model. The model and thedocumentation should be able to use in educational purposes.The study is based on the two most common systems for airflow, currently used inoperating theatres. The first principle is displacement ventilation in which the air issupplied at low velocity along the floor. The second principle is vertical parallel laminarairflow in which the air is compressed like a piston from ceiling to the floor.A review of literature resulted in the choice of size, design, and scale factor for themodel, as well as choices of ventilation principles and airflows.

Att utföra kostnadskalkyler och mängdavtagningar utifrån objektbaserade 3D-modeller har visat sig vara problematiskt då modellerna inte uppfyller de förväntade kraven på informationsnivå. De bristande modellerna leder till en större osäkerhet då kalkylatorn skall upprätta kostnadskalkyler, vilket utgör bakgrunden till de frågeställningar som rapporten utgörs av.Projektet Biomedicum, som skall bli det toppmoderna laboratoriet åt Karolinska Institutet bedrivs som ett fullskaligt BIM-projekt, där de objektbaserade 3D-modellerna utgör underlaget för bland annat kostnadskalkyler i systemhandlingsskedet. Kalkylatorn i projektet, har uttryckt ett missnöje gällande kvaliteten i modellerna, och menar på att det finns stora brister som leder till att risken för att osäkra kalkyler upprättas ökar. Denna rapport kommer således att se över hur det är möjligt att kvalitetssäkra en objektbaserad 3D-modell i IFC-format i programvaran Solibri Model Checker, utifrån de projektspecifika kraven som råder i projektet.Rapporten utgörs av en fallstudie och en litteraturstudie, och till viss del även av intervjuer. I fallstudien undersöks det om Solibri Model Checker är kapabel till att kontrollera modellerna utifrån de projektspecifika krav som råder i projektet, samt att analysera resultatet av kontrollerna som har utförts.

My problem comes out of the bigger question ?why the Catholic church is featured in horror films whenever a religious organization is in one?? I have detected in the horror films that I've seen that when a religious organization is in a horror movie it's the Catholic church that gets to act as church and religion. I have chosen the following problem: How is the Catholic church presented in the horror movies The Exorcist and The Rite, and how can one understand these presentations from a role theoretic perspective?Since role theory has it's background in the world of the theater with it's actors and roles, it came naturally to use role theory, and specifically Goffmans dramatic model. I've used this model in a film analysis of the movies.
