Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka kvinnobilden i argentinsk press på ett kvalitativt sätt. Jag har undersökt om det finns språkliga och innehållsliga mönster kopplat till konstruktionen av ?kvinnlighet? och stereotyper i ett antal tidningsartiklar.     Materialet består av sex artiklar från två argentinska dagstidningar; Clarín och La Nación. Anledningen till valet av just dessa tidningar är att de är har den största upplagan i Argentina och att de är rikstäckande. Kriteriet för att en artikel skulle väljas ut är att en kvinna måste vara huvudsubjekt i texten.     Jag har utgått från teorier om genuskonstruktion och könsbundna stereotyper och hur dessa uppstår i massmedierna.     Metoden som tillämpats på de sex artiklarna är kritisk diskursanalys baserad på Teun A van Dijk.

I dagens samhälle är ofrivillig barnlöshet ett växande problem och det är en av de största stressorerna för människor i fertil ålder. Att vara ofrivilligt barnlös kan ha många olika orsaker och är ibland svårt att behandla. Infertilitet är ett tillstånd som orsakar stor smärta och påverkar det psykiska välmåendet för dem som drabbas. Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva män och kvinnors upplevelser av ofrivillig barnlöshet vid infertilitet. En kvalitativ innehållsanalys med manifest ansats har använts för att studera och analysera utvalda artiklar.

Many everyday tasks and also many sports require good grip and forearm strength. Everything from carrying boxes and lifting a child to grab the arms and legs in various martial arts, or holding a tennis racket involving the hand and forearm muscles in various ways. It is therefore important to train these muscles to prevent injuries and congestion and to perform well in sport. A well known way to train functional strength in the hand and forearm muscles is weight training with thick handles. The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences in muscle activity in the upper arm and forearm muscles as well as the deltoids between two bars of different diameter (28mm and 57mm) in two different weight training exercises using electromyography (EMG).

No one believes in Åkesson - a comparative study on the evening press and the publicservice reporting on the Swedish Democrats before the 2014 election.The purpose of this essay was to study how Aftonbladet and Ekot reports about the SwedishDemocrats before the election 2014, as well as comparing the two medias and reasoningabout their agendas towards the party. The tabloid, Aftonbladet, is one of the biggestnewspapers in Sweden, which depends on counter sales and commercials. Ekot, which is apart of public service, is state-funded and regulated by certain guidelines. Using aquantitative method we studied 80 articles, and through a qualitative method, six of thearticles were analyzed to reach a deeper understanding. The theories primary used in thisstudy were agenda-setting and framing, to stress the power of media.

The aim of the essay was to describe what some young Swedish and Spanish people had to say about alcohol cultures. Some of the questions asked were: How are the alcohol cultures in Sweden and Spain described? What are the differences, and where do they come from? What would an ideal alcohol culture look like? The investigation also had a comparing angle, as I was interested in what the people valued in their own culture and in the others´. The result was that there hardly exist a perfect alcohol culture, but that the stricter Sweden as well as the liberal Spain both have positive and negative aspects. Differences in politics and culture seem to create variations in a society´s drinking customs.

In this study, my intention has been to examine how the ambiguous concept of corruption is constructed by the press. Emphasizing the media?s representations of the socially constructed and context-specific concept, this work adopts a critical perspective on discourse, together with an approach of conceptual history. Finland has for many years been appointed as one of the least corrupt countries in the world, signing several international conventions against corruption since the 1990s, which in turn has led to an increase in discussion regarding the phenomenon. By conducting a multi-method study, my aim has been to analyse the possible changes in the definition of ?corruption? in the Finnish newspaper Hufvudstadsbladet during the period 2000-2013.

I uppsatsen undersöks fem "allmänna svenska" folkbildningsmöten hållna, huvudsakligen i Folkbildningsförbundets regi, mellan 1904 och 1920. Trots att de är väldokumenterade och gavs betydelse för folkbildningens utveckling av sin samtid, har de inte tidigare varit föremål för en egen studie. På grund av forskningsläget strävar undersökningen efter att tematisera mötena som en helhet, den iscensatta aktören Folkbildningsmötet. Undersökningens huvudsakliga källmaterial har varit de mötesberättelser som gavs ut i anslutning till mötena. Undersökningen visar att Folkbildningsmötet huvudsakligen ägnade sig åt administrativa frågor och agerade för en allsidig, "liberal" antiklassbildning..

Det är sällan man läser i tidningar om det goda sociala arbetet som utförs av socialtjänster i Sverige. Den enskilde medborgaren vänder sig inte heller ofta till media för att få berätta om stödet och det goda bemötandet de fått av myndigheten. Däremot kan klienter kontakta media för ett sista försök till att få uppmärksamhet samt upprättelse i ett beslut. Denna kontakt i kombination med journalistens sökande efter nyhetsvärde kan resultera i artiklar där socialtjänsten arbete framställs negativt. Således kan en missvisande bild målas upp i media, särskilt hos människor som aldrig själva haft kontakt med myndigheten.

In the Swedish school library discussion, the most prominent role of the school library haslong been that of cultural centre in the school, with the main goal being to encourage children'sreading. During the 90ies there were signs of a shift in focus to the role of information centre,giving active support across the whole range of the curriculum, in the independent researchingwork of the students. At the same time severe budget cuts caused great worries for the future.The interest for the school library media centres increased during this time, many differentorganizations said they wanted to fight for better school libraries. The purpose of the presentwork was to find out who they are, what they want and what their ideal school library lookslike. Fourteen organizations were studied, focus was on activities during 1995.

This study critically reviews four works of the artist Joanna Rytel with the intention to find out if and how she is provocative. In order to do that I have studied the reactions on these works, mainly through press material, which differs from letters to the editors and comments posted on discussion forums that's also been used. My conclusion is that Rytel provokes not just because of her choice of subject, but because of her concept of 'art' doesn't agree with the general public's, i.e. 'art' is supposed to be something merely beautiful.
