The interest for power and energy measurement has greatly raised with todays increasing electricity prices and enviromental awareness. In the search for energy efficient solutions, the measurements are more complex due to increasing of non linear components. Harmonics and non sinusoidal voltages put high demands on sampling and filtering. Meanwhile, the price must be controlled so the customer still will find it interesting to invest in smaller plants. ITT W&WW asks for a robust, heat resistant power meter with compact dimensions to allow mounting inside the casing of a pump.

Detta examensarbete har genomförts på uppdrag av RFN i Vidsel, där bl.a. långdistansmissiler testflygs. Syftet är att utveckla en metod, en siktanalys, för att kunna beräkna en flyghöjd som garanterar sikt från en eller flera observationsplatser. Som programspråk användes det matematiska beräkningsprogrammet Matlab, som är ett flexibelt program innehållande fördefinierade metoder för en siktanalys. Arbetet har genomförts på en vanlig PC.

The purpose of this study is to compare the representation of criminals in the Swedish television show ?Efterlyst? regarding ethnical background between the year 1998 and the year 2006. The aim is to determine if and how the representation of ethnicity have changed over the examined years. We have then examined 13 shows from each year and categorized the criminals by ethnicity, type of crime and length of each segment. We have come to a conclusion that the show has a noticeable overrepresentation of criminals with non-Swedish ethnical background.

Examensarbetet har utförts inom ramen för forskningsprojektet Från spill till guld, som leds av forskningsinstitutet Swerea IVF. Forskningsprojektets mål är att minimera spill inom bland annat textilindustrin. Examensarbetet syftar till att identifiera och minska mängden avfall i form av spill från produktion. I examensarbetet har en fallstudie på Swegmark of Sweden AB:s fabrik Sia New Rosme gjorts och en miljövärdeflödesanalys utförts. Analysen visade att flera processer inom produktionen är kritiska när det kommer till uppkomst av spill.

This paper examines the possibility of identifying votive offerings among a collection of stray finds in a Late neolithic material from one farm land on the island Hven.First, I identify the Late neolithic artefacts in a collection of stray finds and make a register as well as take photographes of the artefacts. Then I compare these stray finds with material from hoards found in Scania to analyz if any similarities arise regarding length, fragmentation and patina. Additionally, I use maps to identify wetlands and a field survey to help identify and discover important areas connected to votive offerings. There is a strong possibility that the stray finds collection contains some votive offerings because similarities can be found between the lengths of the stray finds and the materials from the hoards..

In order to decrease the disturbance from a cable testing equipment, the company Ericsson Network Technologies in Falun determined to design a new series resonant test system with a lower frequency. The new equipment is of series resonant type with a system frequency of 500 Hz. This equipment consists of an inductor, a capacitor and a voltage source. The voltage source is the same as the old one, the cable acts as the capacitor but the inductor has to be designed especially for the new equipment. In this thesis work several air coil inductor types were examined.

In this investigation has an attempt to find out whether so called transplanting shock depends on the moving and transplanting of trees, to other conditions, or if it is due to the imbalance between the root to shoot ratio. Seventy trees of Prunus avium have been part of the investigation and these trees have been divided into four different groups depending on methods of production, untouched on the field, trees still on the field but with root pruning, trees moved and planted into Root-Control-Bag, trees moved and planted into Spring-rings. To be able to answer the question, measurements of the length of the terminal shoots and the lateral shoots and the dimension of the stem growth have been done and also has a visual judgment of the trees vitality been performed. The result shows that it is not only the move of the trees that gives them transplanting shock, but rather the loss of roots which gives an imbalance between the root and crown..

Slänten är en byggnad som innehåller två olika lager, ett privatare mer skyddat i form av förskolan och ett offentligt lager i form av danslokaler,restaurang och ett parkdäck på taket. Platsen är vald eftersom även den innehåller två tydliga lager i olika höjdnivåer. Ett trafikseparerat cykeloch gångstråk där man nästan utan att passera en enda gata kan nå ändå fram till medborgarplatsen, det andra lagret är ca 5 meter ovanförstråket i form av den hårt trafikerade ringvägen. Data från dessa inventeringar har i denna studie används i samband med undersökning av omgivande markslag runt dellokalerna/täkterna för att ta reda på om omgivande markslag påverkar förekomst av bibagge vid dellokaler/täkter. Inom sand- och grustäkterna registrerade inventerarna enskilda dellokaler där fynd av bibagge eller vårsidenbi gjordes. Om ingen av arterna observerades angavs en koordinat där en dellokal ansågs vara mest lämplig för en av arterna eller för båda arterna.

There are only a few published studies on the normal variation in ovary size in bitches. All of the previous studies have been made on the beagle breed. This study was performed on indian street dogs with the objective to measure ovaries and structures in the ovaries after ovariehysterectomy to decide if smaller dogs have smaller ovaries and how small and big they can be in the normal dog. The structures (follicle and corpus luteum) where also measured to get a maximum size for normal structures in the bitch. This information can be valuable when examining the ovaries of the bitch with ulstrasound.

De första lagarna som gav stränderna ett skydd skulle fungera i samspel med allemansrätten som då lyftes fram och fick en ny betydelse i samhället. Den provisoriska strandskyddslagstiftningen ersattes av en permanent några år senare, och har därefter har kompletterats och förändrats. Den största förändringen skedde 1975, då strandskyddet blev generellt och därmed obligatoriskt. Strandskyddslagstiftningen gäller vid alla kuster, sjöar och vattendrag och innebär att inga byggnader, anläggningar eller verksamheter får uppföras inom 100 meter från strandlinjen, både i havet och på land.

The aim of this report was to investigate the hypothesis that Norway spruce (Picea abies L. Karst), planted on poor ?Scots pine? stands will not have sustained growth during the whole rotation, due to water deficit in the closed stands. In order to investigate this hypothesis, data from 10 Norway spruce stands in southern-eastern Sweden were collected. In 10 plots in each stand, diameter and breast heights were measured on every tree.

The aim of this study is to examine what social workers consider as ?challenging behaviour? among adolescents, but also to examine the connection between investigation and intervention in cases where such behaviour is being displayed. The questions of the study are to examine what social workers think of the instrument of assessment BBIC (Children?s Needs in Focus) and how the usage of BBIC affect social workers understanding of challenging behaviour. Moreover, it is a qualitative study and the respondents are all social workers with various length of professional experience who work with making decisions in juvenile welfare cases.

The aim of the study was to illustrate how music therapy can be used in the care of patients with schizophrenia and other psychotic illness.The method used was a literature review. Scientific articles were searched in PubMed, Cinahl, PsycINFO och Scopus databases with an outcome of ten articles, with in total 330 participants, that underwent quality and outcomes analysis.The results showed that music therapy could provide potential improvement in the patients' social functions and that it could also improve negative, some positive and general schizophrenia and psychotic symptoms in some patients. The form of music therapy used was often creative music activities with music therapist, with or without structure, or individually customized. The length of treatment varied widely. It was not possible to draw conclusions about which type of music therapy was best.
