This report is a study in voltagelevel in connection with regeneration of brake energy from the tramtype M31 in Gothenburg.In the act of braking, the tram M31 uses electrical braking where the electrical motors generates energy and if possible send it back to the overheadline, where other trams in the nearby can use this regenerated energy for its own driving force. Anställningsbarhet bland unga vuxna - en kvalitativ studie om upplevd anställning

The objective of this thesis was to investigate how young adults view their own employabilityand to see if there was a connection between their view and their social background. Themethod used in the thesis is qualitative with a hermeneutic approach. The interviews includedwere of semi-structured kind. The main result is that respondents in the thesis expressed similarviews on their perceived employability regarding commitment and energy at work, networkingand contacts and job discrimination but there were some distinctions noted regardingtheir view on education and working life experience. The respondents from working classbackgrounds tended to focus more on education than the respondents from middle class/uppermiddle class backgrounds.

Optimering av metodiken vid genotypning av stora DNA-material

In this Master thesis, microwave connections between circuit boards are constructed. The primary frequency band is the X-band (8-12 GHz). The purpose of the connections is to enable a more simple and cheaper way of mounting the circuit boards inside a container. The connections have been designed and evaluated, using different computer programs. A few prototypes have been built and measured.

Electromyography (EMG) is a technique that measures muscle activity, whichmeans detecting the electrical signals that travel through the muscle in connectionwith muscle contraction. This project deals with how EMG can be used tocontrol a computer game.The project is centered around the game 'EMG Track Game' which has beenconstructed as part of this work. 'EMG Track Game' is controlled by twoelectrodes fastened on the player. These are attached to two selected musclesand control the motion in one direction each, one up and the other one down.The game is constructed in the purpose of being used in several elds of application.Among these are as entertainment, training equipment and a tool inresearch related to EMG and muscles.To highlight a possible application a study concerning muscle control has beenconducted. It answers the question of whether players score better with theirdominant arm in comparison with their non-dominant one.

Att Synliggöra det Osynliga : GIS som verktyg i sökandet  efter bosättningsområden från bronsåldern på Gotland

In this bachelor essay an attempt is done, to recreate a probable Bronze Age landscape on Gotland, with GIS as a tool. The landscape on Gotland is situated with many different monuments dated Bronze Age, such as cairns and stone ships. In creating of the maps, two possible shorelines contemporary with the Bronze Age have been calculated and marked on the maps. Furthermore, peat lands have been drawn upon the maps, by using the information from geological maps.A landscape variable have been compared between Bronze Age places and Early Iron Age houses; the soil type. On Bronze Age places gravel is the most common, while moraine marl is the most common on places with Early Iron Age houses.From a selection that were made, all Bronze Age places where within 3 km from the water, either the recreated shoreline or peat land.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to see how technology is presented in different fictional picture books that are available in preschool. Six fictional picture books that have connection to technology in picture and text have been analysed. In order to show how technology can be made visible in fictional picture books, the relation between picture and text has been analysed through a technology perspective. Furthermore, the pictures and the texts have been analysed separately in order to show what they show respectively in terms of technology. The fictional picture book has a potential to be a basis for making technology visible in preschool, which is a step in a new direction.

Matematikverkstad : hur kan lärare och elever arbeta där?

The starting point of this work has been to get knowledge about teachers working in a mathematical workshop with the students. I also wanted to investigate what students think about math, both within the workshop and in traditional teaching.To achieve this I chose to interview a teacher in charge within the framework of a mathematical workshop, and six students in the 5th grade. I also did a lesson observation with the purpose to see how well the teacher?s tutoring agrees with the results of the interview.In this study I have discovered that the lessons in the mathematical workshop are planned after what the students are working with in the textbook. The teacher opens the lessons with the whole class and then splits it up in groups.

Orsaker till förseningar i byggbranschen

Med anledning av JM:s satsning på Lean Construction, där företaget arbetar med att effektivisera verksamheten, syftar detta arbete till att identifiera frekvent försenade arbetsmoment och orsaker till detta. Arbetets datainsamling av olika typer av förseningar har avgränsats till nio tillhandahållna flerbostadsprojekt från olika delar av Sverige. Den data som har behandlats innefattar mötesprotokoll och tidsplaner som sedan låg till grund för de personliga intervjuer med arbetsledning för de olika projekten. Utifrån insamlad data och intervjuer genomfördes en enkätundersökning via Internet riktad till arbetschefer, platschefer och arbetsledare. Totalt blev 93 stycken personer från Stockholm och 95 från regioner inom affärsenheten Riks blev inbjudna att delta i undersökningen. Genom granskning av tillgängligt material kunde det konstateras att de arbetsmoment som vanligen upplever någon form av försening är:Arbeten under normalplanStällningsarbetenFasadarbetenHissmontagePlattsättningKöksleveranserVad beträffar arbeten under normalplan är brisfälliga geotekniska undersökningar en vanlig orsak till försening, vilket i sin tur kan leda till undermåliga bygghandlingar.  Andra vanliga orsakerna till att ovanstående moment blir försenade är framförallt bristande styrning av egen personal och underentreprenörer.
