Gemenskap i kris: En studie av socialt kapital och krisberedskap i G?teborg

This thesis explores how the city of Gothenburg integrates and use social capital, defined through factors such as trust and cooperative networks, in its crisis preparedness strategies and how this can enhance the city's collective resilience. The study aims to contribute to the understanding of how social capital can be leveraged to strengthen crisis management and resilience in urban environments. The research analyzes existing quantitative data from the SOM-Institute regarding residents perceptions and self-reported preparedness actions and reviews Gothenburg's official civil defense plan for 2024?2027. By examining various aspects of social capital, including levels of trust and cooperative networks across different city districts and age groups, the analysis focuses on how social bonds and community contexts are considered in planning for handling and recovering from potential crises.

En insyn i waldorfskolan : en kvalitativ studie av fyra lärares syn på sin egen undervisning

Background: The Waldorf school was founded by Rudolf Steiner during the early nineties in Austria. The pedagogy is established in the antrophosofical sight of humanity, which contains focus on three watchwords when it comes to teaching. These are the will, the feeling and the thought. Purpose: The aim of this study is to investigate how teachers in three Waldorf schools are working during to the curriculum and to bring out the differences and the similarities with the municipal school. This essay is focusing on four themes and theories; artistic learning processes, gender, multimedia and environment.Method: In order to investigate this kind of teaching I choose interviewing as a method, specifically semi structured interviews. Four teachers at three different schools in Stockholm county was interviewed.

Andlighet och religiositet på Fryshuset : en inblick i en senmodern och global förändringskontext

The aim of this study is to investigate the components of religion and spirituality in the specific context of "Fryshuset" ? a multicultural and glocal arena. Against the backdrop of contemporary researchers such as Heelas and Woodhead and their hypothesis about the "spiritual revolution" and a "new spirituality", as well as the postmodern discussion about "the return of God", this study discusses how religious change can be understood in the context of Fryshuset.The theoretical point of departure is taken in a hermeneutical method where Fleck´s theory about "thought-collective" and Gidden´s theory about the "duality of structure" are used in order to understand and describe the dialectical relationship between individual and social structure.The method used in this study is qualitative. The interviews are made of six individuals representing different social projects at Fryshuset.By analyzing the material from the field study through theories on religious change, three areas are identified:"The subjective turn"Religion and spiritualityA Cosmopolitan interpretation of life The result of this study is that the religiosity among the interviewed can be described through Taylor?s understanding of the "subjective turn".

Den interaktiva djurparken / The interactive zoo

The purpose of this thesis project is to develop a set of interactive digital solutions designed to enhance the interest and knowledge intake of visitors at Skånes Djurpark (Zoo of Scania) in Höör. The project was carried out in collaboration with Skånes Djurpark and representatives from its visitors. Our thesis is based on academic works in the fields of interaction design, exhibit design and contextual learning. Ethnographical field studies have been conducted at Skånes Djurpark with additional field studies at Tropikariet in Helsingborg, Copenhagen Zoo and Regionmuseet Kristianstad. Existing information signs in Skånes Djurpark are primarily image- and textbased, forcing visitors to divert their attention from the different species of Nordic animals that inhabit the zoological park.

Förberedelseklass ett mångkulturellt möte av språk, lärande och vänskap : en kvalitativ studie om en grupp nyanlända elever och deras två SVA-lärares tankar om hur verkligheten kan se ut i en förberedelseklass

In a preparatory class are newly arrived students who have no or very little knowledge of the Swedish language. Some of the newly arrived pupils may have arrived in Sweden very recently and some of them have no or very limited understanding and experience of how the school system works in their country of origin. The purpose of this study is to find out how education in a selected preparatory class works seen from two SVA-teachers and students perspective. Questions related to my purpose reads as follows:In which way can two of the SVA-teachers respond in a selected preparatory class to their group of newly arrived students?What methods can be used by the two SVA-teachers in a selected preparatory class to their group of newly arrived students' language learning?How does the newly arrived student in a selected preparatory class experience their education and friendship?The study was conducted through a qualitative approach in a selected preparatory class in a multicultural school in a suburb in southern Stockholm. Through observations on six separate occasions as well as interviews with two of the SVA- teachers in the selected preparatory class, and with three of the newly arrived pupils during a period of three weeks.

This study is qualitative and will show what?s causing anxiety in a class. Further it will describe how teacher?s act and how they handle when anxiety becomes a problem in the education. How can one as a teacher handle and act in to these disturbing situations? The children, who are anxious, take important time from those students who really need help in their learning.

Ger det fria arbetet frihet : En studie om balans mellan arbete och privatliv

This qualitative study treats the construction and maintenance of balance between work and private life and how flexibility in the workplace is perceived. The study was conducted using semi-structured interviews and these have been conducted in five large companies around Gothenburg. The analysis and results are based on the phenomenographic method approach and the final results were four themes: Balance, Flexibility, Combining family and work and lifelong learning with related subcategories. The result shows that the construction and maintenance of balance between work and personal life is something that is tied to the indi-viduals and the current situation in life. Two of the most common strategies to maintain a dis-tinction proved to be planning as well as other activities, in order to move the focus away from the work.

Ekologiskt kopplade institutioner inom jordbrukssystemet :

The farming system is the basis of human existence through its production of provisions for man. By a continuous exchange of information, energy and material, between the ecosystems and the social systems, the farming system becomes an emergent property. The system's own properties, in the sense of farming methods, circulations and institutions, evolve through an adaptive process. Understanding this process and constantly learn from it, is the starting point for creating a sustainable development within farming systems. Thus, future farming system has to develop strategies that produce food provisions while at the same time takes into consideration the ecosystem's resilience and its integrity, but which also enables an ethical discussion. The institutions within the farming system are understood as links between the ecosystems and the social systems.

Distriktssköterskors erfarenheter av telefonrådgivning på en hälsocentral

Bakgrund: Telefonrådgivning är en stor del av distriktssköterskans arbete på en hälsocentral. Arbetet innebär att bedöma, hänvisa, ge råd och stöd, samt utföra omvårdnad. Distriktssköterskan måste anpassa sitt arbete och sina beslut efter ekonomiska, tekniska, organisatoriska och vetenskapliga aspekter.Syfte: Syftet var att belysa distriktssköterskors erfarenheter av att arbeta med telefonrådgivning på en hälsocentral.Metod: En kvalitativ deskriptiv metod användes. Semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med tio distriktssköterskor från sex olika hälsocentraler. Intervjuerna analyserades med kvalitativ manifest innehållsanalys.Resultat: Vid analysen framkom sex huvudkategorier; ett professionellt bemötande är viktigt för patienterna, organisation och struktur är avgörande för arbetet, arbetsmiljön påverkar arbetet på olika sätt, kollegialt samarbete på arbetsplatsen är betydelsefullt, några områden kan förbättras, svårigheter och utmaningar finns i arbetet.

Lärstilar, ett steg mot en skola för alla

Att alla människor har olika sätt att lära in ny kunskap är något de flesta av dagens lärare är medvetna om. Det inte alla vet, är att det finns sätt att ta reda på vilken ?kanal? som fungerar bäst för varje enskild individ. På en av våra skolor har man vetskapen om inlärningsstilsanalyser som ett instrument. På den andra finns inte denna kunskap hos mer än en tredjedel av lärarkollegiet.

Elevernas naturvetenskapliga lärande och undervisningen : En variationsteoretisk studie i grundskolans årskurs 2 och 3

Syftet med denna studie är att studera relationen mellan elevernas lärande och de lärandemöjligheter som erbjudits i undervisningen. Sju elever i grundskolans årskurs 2 och årskurs 3 ingick i studien. Undersökningen genomfördes genom en lektionsserie inspirerad av learning study med en teoretisk förankring i variationsteorin, där det är centralt hur individer förstår och uppfattar det som ska läras (Carlsson, 2002). För att kunna analysera relationen mellan elevernas lärande och de lärandemöjligheter som erbjudits i undervisningen bearbetades data från inspelade strukturerade samtal, elevtexter (texter producerade av elever) och observation. Målet med undervisningen var att utveckla en förståelse för: varför atmosfären och de gröna växterna är förutsättningar för liv.

Med små steg in i kommunalpolitiken : Kvinnors politiska intåg i Katrineholm 1922-1994

This essay is about literature instruction in the last three years of Sweden?s compulsory school from one teacher?s and six of his pupils? perspective. The research is analysed from a socio-cultural perspective on learning and literature reception.The empiric material is based on interviews with the teacher and six of his students.The research shows that there is a difference between what the pupils read on their spare time and what they read during Swedish instruction. It also shows that the pupils wants literature full of action where descriptions of people and the setting don?t slow down the reading experience.The teacher is successful in finding literature the pupils appreciate but sees the value of literature on another level ? in the processing of the reading experience.

Framgångsfaktorer och fallgropar vid utveckling av medarbetarskap

Syftet med denna studie var att utröna de aspekter medarbetarna ser som väsentliga i utvecklingsprocessen mot ett utökat medarbetarskap. Studien baserades på teorier om förutsättningar och utveckling av medarbetarskap samt dess effekter. Dessutom beskrivs ledarskapets historiska utveckling samt olika teorier om ekonomistyrning. Studien fokuserade på medarbetarnas uppfattning, men verksamhetschefen gav också sin syn på ämnet. Det empiriska materialet i denna fallstudie samlades in genom fyra personliga intervjuer.

Barns delaktighet och inflytande : i arbetet med hållbar utveckling i förskolan

The purpose of this study is to compare the conditions for teaching and learning Sami at primary level in three different types of schools. The study focuses on teachers' views on multilingualism and characteristics of good mother tongue education as well as factors inside and outside school affecting teaching. The classroom environment is also discussed. Six qualitative interviews with practicing teachers in the three school forms were carried out: Sami school, integrated teaching and mother-tongue education. The results showed that the teachers are in favour of multilingualism and feel a responsibility to help more children develop their ability to speak Sami.
