In the R & D Department the work of improvement pursue by adaptingLean R & D to their way of working. Lean R & D encourages working withcontinuous improvements and eliminating waste.The main purpose for this Master?s Thesis is to develop didactic support to make iteasier to implement Lean in SMT R & D department.

The purpose of this scientific paper is to study the relationship between the implementation of Lean Healthcare and the experienced motivation among the staff. This essay thereby intends to impart knowledge, which could be used on future implementations of Lean Healthcare at other hospitals. In order to fulfil the purpose of this essay a case study have been conducted at two wards at the Lund University Hospital in which qualitative research interviews have been the method chosen in order to gather data.

Att arbeta med Lean innebär ett långsiktigt tänkande i en kultur som präglas av respekt för människan och för att ständigt minska mängden slöseri, Muda, med hjälp av ständiga förbättringar, Kaizen. Detta kan sägas vara en sammanfattning av Leanfilosofin. Med insikten om att Leanfilosofin är grundläggande för en lyckad implementering av Lean, sattes syftet med detta arbete: Att få in Lean i blodet hos personalen vid Kongsberg Automotive. En strategi utformades kring lärande för att nå en gemensam förståelse, en plattform, som ska finnas till grund för ett långsiktigt arbete med Lean. Strategin är uppbyggd efter teorin om Lean och den process man genomgår i ett lärande.

Examensarbetet är utfört hos Annas Pepparkakor beläget i Tyresö utanför Stockholm. Annas pepparkakor tillverkar pepparkakor, vilket varit företagets fokus sedan slutet av 1970-talet.Annas Pepparkakor har en produktion som påverkas av säsongsindex då den ökar till det dubbla mellan maj-december. Säsongspersonal hyrs in via bemanningsföretag. Annas Pepparkakor har under senaste året inlett ett arbete med Lean production där produktionen kontinuerligt arbetar med 5S, en vedertagen metod för förbättring inom logistik och produktion.Som en utveckling av arbetet har produktionens ledning beslutat att genomföra en studie med hjälp av metoden SMED, Single Minute Exchange of Die. Studien genomförs för att belysa produktionens problemområden, effektivisera omställningar och standardisera arbetsmoment.
