With the digital revolution within video games, the need for Digital Rights Management (DRM) has increased significantly, alongside with the increasing problem of copyright pirates. To counter pirates, DRM was created to prevent illegal copying of software, this to ensure that the Distributors received an income for their work. DRM has, since the start of its use, been getting, a lot of bad criticism from the users of the software protected by DRM. The main function of this paper is to describe the creation and development of DRM by analysis of the vision of different groups on this phenomenon. The main questions are as follows, is it possible to define the very reason for why DRM was created and if so, can its development through time be defined too? What differences in opinions are there when it comes to DRM, counting the two major groups of creators, sellers, distributors (referred to as distributors) versus individual users (referred to as consumers)? In what way will the research results suggest that the future DRM will develop?The development has gone from solving puzzles in a handbook to start the game each time the user wants to play, to serial numbers that is needed during the installation of the game.

Bakgrund: Under de senaste decennierna har den offentliga svenska sjukvården genomgått stora förändringar. Ett av de begrepp som implementeras är Lean Healthcare. Begreppet bör ses som en filosofi och strategi. Verksamhetsstyrningen bör anpassas efter vald stra-tegi, som exempelvis Lean Healthcare. Det finns dock inte en universell metod för hur styrningen bör anpassas efter Lean Healthcare, utan styrningen bör vara individuellt anpas-sad.Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att genom att studera sex sjukhus utreda hur sjukhusens verksamhetsstyrning stödjer strategin Lean Healthcare.Metod: Vi uppfyllde vårt syfte genom att göra en multipel fallstudie på sex sjukhus tillhö-rande två landsting, Skåne och Jönköping Vi har intervjuat personer med olika befattningar på sjukhusen för att skapa oss en uppfattning om hur Lean Healthcare stöds i sjukhusens verksamhetsstyrning.

Den svenska planprocessens effektivitet är ett problematiskt och omdiskuterat ämne. Uppsatsen behandlar effektivisering av den fysiska planeringsprocessen med leanteoretiska begrepp som utgångspunkt. På senare tid har flera alternativa lösningar för effektivisering uppkommit. En av dessa lösningar är lean, en verksamhetsstrategi med ursprung från Toyotas produktionsfilosofi. Uppsatsen utgår ifrån en kvalitativ forskningsmetod med målet att genom intervjuer, offentliga rapporter och litteratur granska den svenska planeringsprocessen och fenomenet lean inom fysisk planering.

ABB Capacitors Ludvika started their LEAN-project in november 2010, but still has not the whole factory been introduced to the LEAN-tool called 5S. 5S is only implemented on the ?easiest? work-areas.By implementing 5S, at the workingstation called inburkningen, would make the workstation and the area around it much more structured, clean and systematized. The operators are a little bit skeptical to the work that includes continuous improvement today, because they can not see any progresses. If 5S were implememted the operators would be able to avoid searching for tools because with 5S, each tool will have a specified place at the workstation.5S would simplify the cooperation between the shifts, because 5S includes clear instructions for how the workstations will be cleaned after each shift.This report will include my recommendations, thoughts and opinions regarding however ABB Capacitors Ludvika should implement or not implement the LEAN-tool 5S.

Bakgrund Lean är en managementmetod från privata näringslivet med ursprung från Toyotas bilproduktion i Japan och är både en filosofi om ständiga förbättringar mot perfektion och en metodik. Allt fler offentliga organisationer väljer att ta till sig Lean-modellen varför forskning inom området är ett aktuellt ämne.SyfteSyftet med denna uppsats är att besvara tre frågor:1. Varför väljer vissa kommuner/verksamheter att tillämpa Lean?2. Hur implementeras Lean, och i vilken grad sker anpassningen till lokala förutsättningar?3. Finns det några faror förbundna med Lean?MetodFörutom vetenskaplig litteratur har fallstudier bedrivits vid två offentliga verksamheter som arbetar med Lean; Äldreomsorgen inom Vara Kommun och synverksamheten i Borås vid Västra Götalandsregionen. Intervjuer, tolkning av dokument och observationer har använts.ResultatVald teori för uppsatsen visar att de bakomliggande skälen för politiker och makthavare att införa Lean kanske mera handlar om att erbjuda verksamheten ett skyltfönster av framgång (Legitimitet!) än att ta i tu med utmaningarna i verksamheten. En annan bidragande orsak till att införa Lean kan vara den omvända bevisbördan ? att en organisation som inte har Lean får förklara varför man inte har det.Det finns risker med Lean.

The Production Manager at Atlas Copco AB Craelius wants to adopt a lean approach to become more competitive. This thesis is an exploratory study of the subject and what it means for the business activity and its implementation process.The objective is to provide a basic understanding of lean to the company, and what this means for Atlas Copco AB Craelius. The report describes the industrial revolution in brief. This is because the company itself must understand where certain ways of looking at production management is derived from. Swedish healthcare is in continuous need of cost savings and efficiency improvements in order to meet the increased demand for care. The theories of lean, developed from the industry, are applied more frequently on healthcare systems to increase effectiveness and reduce waiting times in patient processes. However, some processes seem to be more successful in their lean implementation than others. In this thesis, factors influencing flow efficiency in lean healthcare are examined. Through interviews with the top executive board at Capio St Göran's hospital, data is collected in order to analyze reasons for success.

This report deals with the attitudes within municipalities of open source software and open standards and if open source software may be an option to gain open standards. The aim has been to find out if open source software and open standards would be able to solve the lock-in problems that municipalities have against proprietary software. The study is conducted as an exploratory, inductive and qualitative study with depth interviews of subjectively selected informants as data collection method. A literature review has also been implemented by the relevant books and articles. Some economic determinants of municipalities to make use of open source software have not been considered in this study.

The Lugnetgymnasium in Falun has a graphic education that supplies a color printer, which is availablefor the students in their hall. The printer is a Ricoh AFC 6513 and it is a model that can handlevariable data. It was bought in the autumn of 2002. The teachers of the graphic education want to makeuse of the variable data function and procure a variable data software. The purpose of this project is toevaluate variable data software?s, so that the most suitable choice of software can be made for the graphiceducation.

In recent years, agile software development methods have become increasingly popular throughout the world. Today there are a number of different agile methods and they all rest on the Agile Manifesto that was formulated in 2001 as a reaction to the traditional software processes.The aim of this thesis is to make a survey of some of the agile methods used today and to see how they are being used in practice. It consists of two parts: a literature study and an interview study with people working in the software business. First, a definition of agile methods is proposed and a number of different agile methods are described. Second, the interviews are being analysed with special focus on communication, collaboration, expectations and results.

Lean och Agile är två arbetsmetodsfilsofier utvecklade från produktion respektive IT. Denna rapport ämnar besvara hur dessa är relaterade och om filosofierna med fördel kananvändas inom motstående område. En teoretisk litteraturstudie har genomförts med sökningar i databaser efter relateradforskning. Detta gav en god inblick om de både områdena var för sig och även omanvändandet av Lean inom IT. Däremot saknades information om Agile inom produktion.

Lean production is the name given to Toyota?s Production System (TPS) by the west. The continuous improvements of their operations through Lean has made Toyota into the largest car manufacturer in the world. This, in turn, has led to several studies regarding both Toyota and their system as to find ways to apply Lean in other organizations. Even so, over 90 percent of all companies fail to implement Lean.
