I alla sorters affärer är det viktigt att skapa ett mervärde till kunden och detta kan uppnås på flera olika sätt. Lean är en filosofi vars mål är att förbättra företagets prestationer genom flera olika verktyg. Vår uppdelning av lean har skett i tre begrepp; 5S, Just ? In- Time och Total ? Quality ? Management. I kort handlar dessa begrepp om att minimera slöseri, förkorta ledtider och ett förbättrat kvalitetsarbete.Varumärket är ett annat sätt att skapa mervärde till kunden.

This report describes the results of the project "Concept development of jet engine inspection plugs" carried out in the spring of 2008. The work was done at the department of product definition at the company Volvo Aero in Trollhättan. The objective of the work was to develop concepts for a "Volvo-unique" inspection plug. The work is part of Volvo Aero's focus on proprietary (self-developed) technologies. Inspection plugs can be found on virtually all aircraft engines and gas turbines.

The aim of this report is to give the reader insight into the development of theweb-based accounting application SuperBooky. Accounting is a complex task thatmany beginner entrepreneurs struggle with. The development of this application wastherefore focused on making accounting as convenient and as easy as possible. Theend product targets small enterprises and its functionality was designed with this inmind.To make sure that the application was designed in a user-friendly way, polls werecarried out among individuals with basic accounting knowledge. These polls werethen used as a basis when the application was under development, to ensure that itwas well-suited to the target audience.This project was carried out as a bachelor?s thesis for Chalmers University of Technologyand University of Gothenburg during Spring 2015.

The main objective of this thesis was to develop appropriate strategies and find factors that affect the usability of parameterized designs. This was accomplished by investigate the user-interface and how it is designed to meet the user's information needs. The thesis also embraces the basic theories in terms of investigation, cognitive design principles and human behavior patterns in the interaction with the machine. The approach has led to an explorative investigation in this subject area.The thesis also had the purpose to achieve more efficient ways for development of motor chainsaws at Husqvarna AB's department Global Cutting Equipment. That can be achieved through reduce costs of development per sold unit.

Since the 1990s, when the number of transnational companies increased, it has created challenges regarding the responsibility of human rights. As a response to these challenges the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) unanimously endorsed the new policy UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGP) in 2011. UNGP does not have the status av international law, yet simply as guidelines and its implementation is based on good will and voluntary efforts. Now, 10 years later, this study aims to get understanding regarding if UNGP is considered as norm by the Swedish Government, Volvo and Gothenburg Municipality. The material of the study consists of sustainability reports, annual reports and governmental documents with focus on human rights in relation to business published between the year of 2011, when UNGP was endorsed, until 2020.

This thesis has been done at the Unversity of Örebro for Örebro University Hospital (USÖ). In our work we have developed a product for hearing tests to determine hearing thresholds of small children. Our product contains software and a control surface for controlling two separate screens. One of the demands was that our software could handle big file libraries. Reliability and simplicity were essential for the user.In our work we have utilized programming of both microcontrollers and Windows software.

Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att analysera vilka faktorer som möjliggör och hindrar innovation bland sköterskor inom Lean Healthcare på Ortopeden 12, USiL. Metod: Studien genomförs i form av en kvalitativ fallstudie med iterativ ansats. Teoretiska perspektiv: Studien använder sig av vanligt förekommande teorier kopplade till innovation. Cultural Web används för att analysera avdelningens paradigm som jämförs med förutsättningarna för innovation. Teorier som tar upp olika aspekter som kan påverka innovation tas också upp.

Problem: Lean har under flera tiotals år används inom bilindustrin och annan producerande verksamhet i syfte att effektivisera och förbättra. Också den offentliga sektorn behöver göra effektiviseringar och förbättringar. Frågan är om lean är en metod som också är tillämplig där och hur den kan användas, likaså vilka effekter införandet av lean kan ge? Lean inom producerande verksamhet har i flera forskningar kritiserats för att vara inhumant. Hur ser verkligheten ut inom en kommunal verksamhet som infört lean vad gäller de mänskliga aspekterna?Syfte: Syftet med den här uppsatsen har varit att studera verkligheten för att se hur lean används och se vad det har tillfört en verksamhet.

General principles of law can be defined as a legal foundation with the function of codifying basic values. They can also be of a character, which makes them useful as supplement and interpretation of law. EU has developed principles of law that can be divided into general and special. Within the Union there are existences of around twenty general ones. A further separation can be made in terms of institutional and individual.

Bakgrund och problem: Lean är ett begrepp som på senare tid har blivit alltmer välkänt, men många gånger felkänt. Vi upplever svenska företag som duktiga på effektivitet vad gäller de finansiella aspekterna men inte fullt lika duktiga på den organisatoriska effektiviteten. De tidigare studier vi har tagit del av som behandlar begreppet lean, upplever vi ej ge en tillräcklig redogörelse för konceptet lean och dess ursprung. De två företagen som vi har valt att studera i denna uppsats verkar i olika branscher. Det ena företaget är ett service- och tjänsteföretag som tillhandahåller heltäckande tjänster inom resebranschen riktade till slutkonsument.

In many products a compromise between ground clearance and the required space to store the product has to be made. This problem attracted the attention of the authors of this thesis.The objective of this project is to develop a functioning solution to a foldable wheel. The solution should be applicable to several types of product groups. A limitation for this work has been made so that the work only covers solutions for lighter vehicles.The purpose is to drive this project forward, so that a solution can be found. Furthermore the purpose of the report is to clarify how the authors proceeded to design and construct the wheel according to a fixed specification.

SammanfattningExamensarbetet har utförts under 2012/2013 och är en avslutande del i vår utbildning inom industriell ekonomi.Vi har valt att fördjupa oss i Lean och se hur vi kan få in denna metod och ?tankar? i den administrativa delen av akademin. Lean används idag inom många olika sektorer och är en erkänd förbättringsmetod vars syfte är att skapa nya smarta och utvecklande sätt att utföra sina arbetsuppgifter på. Dessutom ska det vara gynnsamt för medarbetarna som arbetar i detta och verksamheten som helhet.På administrationsavdelningen på ingenjörshögskolan i Borås finns intresset av att se vilka möjligheter Lean kan medföra för en särskild process. Denna process önskar de få förtydligad och förhoppningen är att eliminera riskerna för fel och missförstånd.

To be allowed to sell Z-suspended vehicles with dipped beam Xenon or LED lighting, Scania have to develop automatic headlight level control. This master?s thesis aims to be the foundation to that development.The thesis consists of several parts; a market analysis of how competitors to Scania and the general vehicle industry solve this problem; several available principles for detecting the amount of control needed; the construction of a test station for sensors, a control unit and components connected controlled by the control unit; a further theoretical and practical development of one principle ? one rotational sensor connected between the chassis and the back drive axis; a state flow model programmed in Simulink that produces the control signal for the headlight leveling from the sensor input.Lastly the thesis gives some recommendations to the further development and implementation of automatic headlight level control on Scania vehicles..

Syfte: Syfte med uppsatsen är att öka vår kunskap om product displacement samt att utreda den påverkan product displacement har på mottagaren sett ur ett marknadsföringsperspektiv. Pararellt undersöks om fenomenet kan vara en fördel eller nackdel i marknadskommunikationen. Utgångspunkten i utredningen är att varumärkesinnehavare själva använder sig av product displacement.Metod: Denna studie har genomförts med en kvalitativ metod och induktiv ansats. Metodvalet har sin utgångspunkt i den bristande teorin då fenomenet product displacement är ett nytt begrepp sett ur ett marknadsföringsperspektiv. Undersökningen bygger på tjugo kvalitativa intervjuer med mottagare av product displacement samt två respondenter med yrkesanknytning inom marknadsföring.Avgränsningar: Denna uppsats behandlar endast product displacements effekter på mottagaren som i vårt fall är begränsat till studenter i ålder 20-25 år.

In this project an iPhone application for storing food and drink experiences was developed with focus on an easy interaction design. The already existing market of similar applications were studied and evaluated to extract their positive and negative features. Interviews with experts within the food and drink business where made in the pre study to get a good perception of how to divide and categorize the sections in the application. To optimize the usability, workshops with potential users with different technical experiences where continuously held during the development of the design.During the development two variants of development environments where evaluated. The final result of the application was developed in the environment that made the best impression and seemed to be the best alternative.The resulting product has a thought out design meant to be easy to understand, even for the first time users.
