Background: Diabetes is a common disease where the degree of self-management is of paramount importance. Individual factors influences both cooping and general wellbeing among diabetic patients. Glycemic control is known to be important but other factors ought to be considered. Aim: The aim of this study was to describe how individual self-management influences the general wellbeing among adult diabetic patients. Method: This literature study is based on scientific articles.

The idea for the project emerged when Nilorn wanted to get better control over their supplychain and improve operational efficiency. The company also want to reduce their expenses inthe continuous process of improving profitability. By choosing the right option oftransportation and mode of transport there are large potential savings for the company. Thisenables Nilorn to reduce the transportation costs and strengthen the environmentalresponsibilities by reducing their environmental impact.The flow of goods within Nilorn has over the past years increased significantly and most ofthe gods today is transported by air. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the supply chain of thecompany and evaluate the potential economic savings in this area.

Det har under en lång tid i Sverige funnits ett intresse av att minska på lagernivåerna. I samband med den ekonomiska krisen på 1970-talet riktades allt mer fokus mot det kostsamma bundna kapitalet i lagret. Under 1980-talet började Just-In-Time introduceras i Sverige, senare även LEAN production. Dessa filosofier spädde på intresset för att minska på lagernivåerna ytterligare. Sedan dess kan vi se att en förändring har skett, exempelvis har leveransernas ledtid blivit kortare samt orderkvantiteterna mindre.Synen på lager skiljer sig dock åt mellan olika forskare.

The aim of the study was to support the ongoing kaizen work at a medical centre. Two main topics have been addressed in this study:? Find a solution to ensure that the kaizen decisions are followed and will get a strong grip in the organisation.? Support the kaizen process by giving advice on how to structure the meetingsand how the kaizen work could be done more effectively.The study started with a visit to the medical centre to observe the kaizen process and the attitudes among the employees. The employees were asked to fill in a survey about the kaizen work at the centre. The final recommendations given have been based on this and also information gathered from other medical centres which work after the same kaizen principles.

The work aims to problemize and increase the understanding for the new labour market's flexible organising. By using Elias and Scotson's theory, the new organisational form of hiring doctors in healthcare will exemplify the developments taking place with many temporary jobs and how it affects the intrinsic structure of a work to be studied. The essay will focus on examining how the interaction affected between established nurses and new temporary doctors given the new form. How the interaction of the recently established group possesses a higher social-, economic- and cultural capital than the already established working group? The method is a qualitative study with three long and deep semi-structured interviews.

Företaget befinner sig i en expansiv fas, men konkurrensen på marknaden är hård och kraven på god kvalitet höga. Företaget är kvalitets- och miljöcertifierat. Som del i förbättrings- och kvalitetsarbetet har en nystart av verksamhetens produktionssystem, SAPS (Segerström Automotive Production System), skett. Ett av företagets mål för de närmsta åren är att minska antalet externa reklamationer.

The reporting of the media will never be an exact copy of reality. Through medias way of presenting, or framing, the world that surround us all they must also affect our interpretation of it. The role of the journalist includes both chosing and excluding in the way they describe things. Studies have been made by the wellknown mediaresearcher, Kent Asp, that show how media reported in more negative wordings about Mona Sahlin, than her opponent Fredrik Reinfeldt in the period building up to the swedish elections 2010. The purpose of our study has been to compare how these politicians were being described, or framed, in the media, in regards to their gender.Our study has shown that Mona Sahlin more often than Fredrik Reinfeldt was described as being less knowledgeable, and were mentioned in the context of scandals or conflicts.

Lean är en idé för kundanpassning och eliminering av slöseri. Idén har sin utgångspunkt i Toyota och tillverkningsindustrin men förekommer numera även inom serviceindustrin. Nyligen har Stockholmsregionen i svenska Skatteverket fått upp ögonen för Lean. Som referenspunkt använder de vid införandet av idén en organisation med, jämfört med Skatteverket, en annorlunda verksamhet nämligen det lastbilstillverkande företaget Scania. Med utgångspunkt i översättningsteorin framarbetad av bland andra Czarniawska har vi genomfört en studie på Skatteverket Stockholmsregion.

Den här studien utfördes på uppdrag av Cambio Healthcare Systems som utvecklar IT-system till sjukvården. Uppdraget gick ut på att ta reda på vilka behov, med avseende på informationshantering, ett IT-stöd för sjukvårdspersonal som gör hembesök måste tillgodose. Den specifika grupp som har studerats för detta ändamål är sjukgymnaster och arbetsterapeuter som arbetar tillsammans i hemrehabteam. Den teoretiska ansats som valdes för studien är distribuerad kognition. Denna ansats studerar individernas och artefakternas koordination och interaktion med varandra, samt hur information omvandlas och överförs i det kognitiva systemsom individerna och artefakterna utgör.

I bakgrunden tas betydelsen av en bra vårdrelation upp, liksom transpersoners plats inom dagens vård. Även tidigare forskning presenteras. Syftet är att belysa transpersoners (könskorrigerade och icke könskorrigerade) upplevelser av brister inom vården. För att besvara syftet har en litteraturöversikt utförts enligt Fribergs (2006) modell. Resultatet redovisar att vården idag för denna minoritetsgrupp är bristfällig, med diskriminering och okunskap som ständigt möter transpersoner inom vården, liksom att vården styrs av heteronormativitet.

Background: When children are admitted to the hospital most of them experience a new and unknown world. The staff?s most important task is to reach out to the child in the best way possible. To give good nursing, knowledge has to be gathered of how the child thinks, feels and what the child wants. Aim: The aim of this study was to describe children?s experience of hospitalization on the basis of the four nursing concepts person, health, environment and nursing.

In light of health scandals and intense debate in the media about the elderly, the authors investigates two Swedish newspaper and their depiction of elder care in Sweden. Using Faircloughs three-dimensional model and critical discourse analysis, it is investigated if there is a more prominent discourse and if so the impact of globalization on this discourse concerning swedish elderly care. A sample of a total of ten articles in the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet and Dagens Nyheter is analyzed. The authors found that older people who are granted home help or place of accommodation rarely make their voices heard. Rarely were also relatives of residents given the opportunity to speak.
