This essay concerns the fantastic and its position in narration. The fantastic's defintion is based on Martin Horstkotte's defintion in The Postmodern Fantastic and the essay focuses on the noncontextual aspects such as the clash between two incompatible fictional worlds and the absence created. Instead of the ordinary identification of the established fictional world with realism and our reality it is suggested that both of the colliding fictional worlds are fictive and that the established one not necessarily need to be realistic. Exampels on how the fantastic takes place on the syntagmatic level in a narration is drawn from the short story ?Samvetets fantasi? by Clas Livijn when analysed with Peter Brooks' closurebased narratology theory in Reading for the Plot.

This thesis has been performed at consulting firm Sweco Position in Jönköping. The thesis is divided into two main sections: theoretical and practical. The theoretical section contains an investigation into the possibilities of implementing a geographical information system (GIS) for administrations of wells with the integration of Bing Maps for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. During its lifetime, a road goes through a number of different stages; pre-study,inquiry of the road, work plan, documenting stage, building stage and operatingstage. The operating stage is the one that takes the longest time and costs themost. Those have a tendency of becoming unnecessarily high because the projectengineers don?t always take the management and maintenance prerequisites intoconditions.To decrease the management and maintenance costs, the Swedish RoadAdministration SouthEast has been in need of a work procedure that makes theroaddesign engineers take the management and maintenance of the road intoconsideration. This shall be achieved by a checklist where the most commondesigns that lead to increased management- and maintenance costs are compiledand listed.Through interviews with project leaders in management, the most commonproblems have been identified, analyzed and summarized under the headlineswinter-road, vegetation, road equipment and road designs.To elucidate the problem from several points of view, interviews wereimplemented with project leaders in investment and roaddesign engineers.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka, beskriva och analysera musiklärares syn på sitt arbete med gruppdynamik i ensembleundervisning inom olika musikgenrer. Metoden som har använts för att uppnå detta är kvalitativa intervjuer enligt hermeneutisk metod samt analyser. Analyserna utgår från teoretiska perspektiv hämtade från Lewin, Forsyth och Blumer och används för att definiera informanternas syn på ensembler samt beskriva hur olika faktorer påverkar varandra när det gäller dynamik i grupper. Resultatet handlar om hur informanterna definierar grupperna de leder och därigenom vad de anser skapar en grupp. Det handlar även om vilken energi som finns i en grupp, hur informanterna går till väga för att fånga gruppen i stunden samt varför de anser det vara viktigt och hur gruppers sammansättning påverkar gruppdynamiken och lärandesituationen.

The aim of this study is to study the construction of literary values. I have been looking at how literature awarded with sponsored literary prizes has been reviewed in four major English and American newspapers. I have been studying the reception of literature by Ian McEwan, Hilary Mantel, Colm Tóibín and Zadie Smith between 2000 and 2012. The prizes in focus are the Man Booker Prize, the Orange prize for fiction and the Costa Awards. There seems to be an increasing number of articles related to each author after they have been awarded a prize, however with little change in the content of the reviews.

Denna studie har utförts vid SCA Timber ABs fem markandsavdelningar och syftet med denna studiehar varit att ge en multidimensionell bild av en förändringsledning ur ett medarbetar- och ledningsperspektiv samt att ta reda på hur de kan kontrasteras. De teorier som har använts har verkat som en grund för, och har väglett analysen. Studien har varit av kvalitativ typ och den metod som har använts bygger på en narrativ ansats.

The purpose of the thesis is to examine why women face greater difficulties than men in the management consulting industry when advancing as well as to identify potential success factors that enable women to overcome the existing difficulties. In order to fulfil the purpose, a theoretical framework including gender and organisational theory has been applied to a qualitative case study of two Swedish management consulting firms. A number of difficulties have been identified related to women's career advancement, which are the following: the male leader and the stereotypical male leadership, firms having higher expectations on women's performance, women's reluctance to self-promotion and to play "the organizational game", women's preference of social networks, men's tendency to promote other men, and the choice and conflict between a career and family life. The identified success factors that enable women to overcome these difficulties are: adapting the male leadership style, having an extrovert behaviour, becoming more active in professional networks, promoting one self, actively seeking to gain more attention, and prioritising one's career. These success factors can be summarised as women adapting a more male-like behaviour.

One of the most well-known trials in history is the one in Nürnberg, Germany, soon after the end of World War II. It is understandable that this caused a lot of discussions and that it was a world known trial which set the standards for a lot of similar occasions later on. The aim of this research is to focus on the opinions about this trial from a perspective of well-known Swedish newspapers. The method is to analyse three big papers with different political views and to see what separated them and what maybe united them. By studying the master-pages of the newspapers a picture is given of how the contemporary time had an understanding for the trial reports, which we in our time have established as facts.

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how the unit managers, within care of elderly, in their role as manager and leader handle possible stress reactions among its nursing staff. Our purpose will generate the following issues;         How does the employer discover stress among the employees?        In what way is the stress taken care of among the geriatric care staff?What opportunities are there to prevent stress?The study is based on a qualitative research method. As a data collection method we've used semi-structured interviews and we have implemented them in five female heads in a medium-sized municipality in Sweden.

Med utgångspunkt i rollteorins begrepp position och roll undersöks i uppsatsen hur individen intar enposition och på så sätt kan spela den roll som tillhör positionen. Att människor spelar roller i olikasammanhang är inget nytt, men frågan är hur de går tillväga. I uppsatsen intervjuas tre skådespelare som samtliga är fast anställda på en medelstor institutionsteater i Sverige. Intervjuerna fokuserarfrämst på repetitionsperioden och hur samspelet mellan person och roll fungerar i skådespelarensarbete med en pjäs. Dessa intervjuer analyseras sedan med utgångspunkt i rollteorin och med hjälpav ytterligare teorier, främst socialpsykologiska.

Bakgrund: Som en följd av dålig lönsamhet och överkapacitet sker en kraftig konsolidering bland biltillverkarna. Detta får i sin tur får stora konsekvenser för deras leverantörer som tvingas anpassa sig till en för dem ny situation. Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur fusionerna bland billtillverkarna påverkar leverantörerna samt beskriva vilka konsekvenser det får för dessa Avgränsningar: Undersökningen är avgränsad till att enbart omfatta leverantörer i Göteborgsområdet. Detta då vi haft begränsade resurser, både tidsmässigt och ekonomiskt. Genomförande: Undersökningen har utförts med hjälp av artiklar och tidskrifter inom det berörda ämnet samt genom sju intervjuer.

Forskning visar att kvinnliga chefer har andra förhållningssätt än manliga chefer till begrepp som makt och karriär. Det visar sig bland annat genom att kvinnliga cheferna inte använder ord som makt, eller inte har en tydlig karriärstrategi jämfört med män i motsvarande position. Syftet med denna undersökning var att ta reda på hur kvinnliga chefer tänker kring begreppen makt och karriär. Åtta intervjuer genomfördes för att försöka ta reda på om tidigare forskningsresultat stämmer på dagens kvinnliga chefer, eller om det skett några förändringar. Resultatet visar att det i mångt och mycket stämmer med tidigare forskning, som visar på att det finns ett kvinnligt förhållningssätt till makt och karriär som också uttrycks genom ett kvinnligt språk..
