Rotskärsskolan is located in Skutskär, Älvkarleby municipality and the school conducted today consists of lower secondary. The school was built in the early 1960s and contains three buildings. Today there is a great need for reconstruction of Rotskärsskolan, when the premises are worn out and not suitable for today's education. It must therefore be a phased change involving all the school buildings, starting in the winter of 2008/2009.Our degree project involves one of these buildings, called house F. This building will, by a recent decision, be adjusted for classes from preschool up to grade five, special school and leisure activities when some of the municipality's schools will consolidate.

Studiens syfte är att granska bilder, Layout och reklam från olika webbplatser och analysera hurdessa bilder kan påverka ungdomar i deras konstruktion av sin identitet. De hemsidor som granskatsvaldes ut genom en informant och valet av informant gjordes genom en enkätundersökning somfokuserade på vilka webbplatser ungdomarna besökt under en vecka. Den valda informanten bleven 15-årig tjej som fyllde i enkäten utförligt och hade besökt många hemsidor som innehöll mångabilder och som var intressanta för studien. Studien av de olika webbplatserna visade att hemsidornahade mestadels neutral Layout, men innehåll många bilder med många olika starka budskap. Genomatt spara och dela bilderna via sin egen profil och andra hemsidor ges man som användare möjlighetatt uttrycka och konstruera vem man är och vem man vill vara genom att förknippas med en viss typav bilder.

This study investigates verbal and visuospatial memory strategies used by individuals with perceptual or cognitive disabilities. The groups concentrated on in this study are deaf individuals who are native sign language users and individuals with dyslexia. The study comprises an experiment and an in-depth study in which a pre-test and a questionnaire were used. Nine deaf signers, two persons with dyslexia and 12 persons without any perceptual or cognitive constraints participated. Of these 23 persons, seven were selected to take part in the in-depth study.

This thesis is carried out on behalf of watermixer manufacturer Ostnor AB in Mora.The thesis deals with the area of Article Bound Instructions (ABI) at the company'sassembly department, regarding the Layout and management routines involved withthese instructions.In the current situation there are problems with no uniformity in the manner in whichthe ABI is written, then referred to both the civil structure, images and specificityrates in the text.Another problem is that operators do not make use of the ABI that are available inthe current situation, and that there are no clear procedures for who has theresponsibility to write, update and change these ABI.During this work has several people that were identified as key personnel of thethesis held in order to get a handle on how the current situation of the variousobjects of the work looks like, and to examine different desires about the future ofthese should look like from the different subjects perspectives been interviewed.During the work, a number of deficiencies, including that the current program that isused to write the ABI, Lotus Notes, do not possess near the prerequisites for being asimple program to deal with when writing the ABI, which is a condition since wishesare about to put the responsibility for the ABI generation to the departmentsoperators, since their main task is to assemble and do not bother with a program in acomputer.The result of this work has generated new Layout and structure of the ABI, designedto be used continuously in the assembly for evaluation, routines regardingresponsibility of the ABI for the Department of Production Engineering (PT),procedures for how the ABI should be written regarding amount of detaileddescriptions in the text and use of pictures.In addition, proposals for further work and improvements has been developed basedon experience during the work and presented at the end of the report..

I och med lanseringen av Apples iPad har nya möjligheter skapats för publicering av tidskrifter. Eftersom det är en så pass ny marknad är många av detidskrifter som finns till surfplattor idag inte speciellt anpassade. Det finns heller inte speciellt mycket forskning kring digitala tidskrifter på surfplattor.Det här examensarbetet har som fokus att undersöka de olika aspekter som bör tas i beaktning vid anpassning av en tidskrift för surfplatta. För attbegränsa arbetet undersöks endast aspekter gällande Layout, typografi och innehållsöversikt och hur dessa kan påverka läsupplevelsen. Genom att sammanställaredan befintlig teori inom områden som är relevanta för undersökningenskapas hypoteser för hur en tidskrift på en surfplatta bör se ut.

Within today?s organizations there is continual development work to increase efficiency and the power to compete at the market. Production development with focus on continual improvements constitutes an important part of the daily work within a lot of organizations today.The purpose of this study is to contribute to a part of the development process that Volvo Penta factory in Vara has in mind. A description of the current situation was compiled by mapping the internal runnings and material flow throughout the factory. A new suggestion for a Layout and a comparison with the current situation will assist with creating a factual basis for the development of a new goods reception.A study was made where the volumes and the quantity of the daily arrival goods were settled.

Detta arbete är en granskning av fyra läromedel i teknik för grundskolans senare del. De läromedel vi granskade var två alldeles nya, Bonniers Teknik och NT-handboken och två etablerade, Puls Teknik som utkom efter Lpo 94 och NO-kombi som utkom innan Lpo 94. För att kunna genomföra en granskning, var vi tvungna att göra en litteraturstudie, för att finna kriterier och bedömningsgrunder till fyra förvalda granskningsområden. De var styrdokumenten Lpo 94 och kursplanen i teknik samt genus och Layout. Vi skickade även en öppen enkät till fyra läromedelsförfattare och en strukturerad enkät till 104 skolors tekniklärare för att undersöka vad de anser vara viktigt med läromedel.

Examensarbetets mål är att undersöka de tekniska aspekter som innefattas i katalogframtagande samt att ta fram en produktkatalog åt Westerbergs Repslageri. Företagets syfte med katalogen är att marknadsföra deras nya varumärke Swedish Rope samt att användas som försäljningsunderlag. Eftersom katalogen ska användas vid försäljning är det viktigt att produktbildernas färger överensstämmer så bra som möjligt med verkligheten.För att få rätt färger i produktbilderna krävs god förståelse inom färghantering. Varje enhet såsom kamera, bildskärm och skrivare tolkar färger på sitt eget sätt vilket medför problem vid bibehållandet av ursprungsfärgerna i den grafiska processen. Korrekt färgåtergivning kräver väl kalibrerade enheter med profiler och ett färghanteringssystem som sköter konverteringen mellan dessa enheters olika färgomfång.En effektiv kommunikation med produktkatalogens läsare fås genom att anpassa Layout och innehåll till dess målgrupp.

Detta är ett examensarbete vid Karlstad Universitet vårterminen 2013. Arbetet omfattar 22,5 hp, fakulteten för hälsa teknik- och naturvetenskap, högskoleingenjör inom maskinteknik. Arbetet har utförts på Volvo Penta AB Varafabriken i Västergötland. Volvo har ett behov att se över sin Layout över fabriken och de interna materialflödena. Deras Layout är gjord efter förutsättningar som rådde för 10 år sedan. En hel del förändringar har skett sedan dess och med ett nytt materialtänk som bygger på Lean-filosofin med bland annat minskade materialfasader, supermarkets och omplock.Fokus i arbetet ligger på att minska den tunga gaffeltruckskörningen i fabriken.

The purpose with this report is to give structure to the storage area betweenproduction and packaging at Spaljisten AB in Åseda. The purpose is also to givesuggestions for improvements of work tasks and thereby simplify and improve thematerial handling at the packing process.The background of the task is that Spaljisten AB is going to increase theirproduction and thereby they also need to increase the packing rate of theirproducts. They will manage this by installing a new automated packing line andincrease the efficiency of the old manual one. The theoretical background ismostly obtained from literature which contains relevant facts for our report.The storage area has been studied visually in order to search for improvements oftoday?s Layout.

This essay investigates and compares the readability in two different schoolbooks: Eko Historia (the primary school grade 4-6) and Epos Historia (the upper secondary school). The questions of the survey are:- Which differences in linguistic and Layout can be found between books meant for the primary school and books meant for the upper secondary school?- Are the texts easy to read according to the former research in readability?In order to answer the questions structural dimensions as lexicon, syntax, bounds between sentences and narrative voices have been studied. Also the texts disposition and typography have been examined.The results demonstrate that the book designed for the primary school has a verbal structure with an explicit vocabulary, lots of verbs and short sentences. A clear narrative voice gives an impression of spoken language.
