With today`s business world, it is very important to deliver the right product with right quality and quantity at the right time. By ensuring that the staff are happy and have the opportunity to work in a workplace with good structure, the company will be able to reach these parameters and at the same time maximize the efficiency.The project has been carried out at Stena Stål AB in Värnamo. The company's main task is to cut, store and deliver production steel and tool steel to processing companies in the surrounding region. Stena Stål AB in Värnamo is one of total 21 companies in the company group Stena Stål. Stena Stål is a part of the Stena corporate group which owns a total of eight different company groups that are spread in about 250 different locations in 14 countries.The purpose of this report is to give Stena Stål AB in Värnamo suggestions on how to design a new facility for tool steel.

In order to meet customer demands an efficient warehouse activity is required.The purpose of this study is to develop a model for designing a warehouse system regarding to working environment and safety. The model is primarily designed and based on literature reviews of scientific articles and books, own knowledge and the authors previous work experience in the industry.The thesis has been done at Sandvik AB, the department Precision strip in Sandviken. Sandvik is a high-technology engineering group with advanced products and a world-leading positions within selected areas.

Ruukki Sverige AB i Virsbo är en tillverkningsenhet i ruukkikoncernen avsedd för tillverkning av stålrör i olika former. Anläggningen är tillbyggd i olika etapper vilket även gäller maskinparken som har ändrats efter behov och placerats ut efter var det finns utrymme. Visserligen har transportmöjligheterna iakttagits vid utplaceringen men någon total genomgång av de interna transporterna har aldrig genomförts liksom inte heller någon undersökning om hur väl maskinplaceringen stämmer överens med transportflödena. Detta har medfört att företaget är medvetet om att den nuvarande layouten kan ha brister ifråga om maskinplaceringen och den interna transporthanteringen vilket är anledningen till att denna rapport har tillkommit. Rapporten syftar till att undersöka de interna materialflödena vid Ruukki i Virsbo samt ge förslag på layout- och maskinförändringar som kan sänka kostnaden för den interna transporthanteringen.

A mobile testing application using Unity was developed to analyse what impact button sizes and button layouts has on the accuracy of touch as well as the time to finish a labyrinth. This was tested on a Nexus 4 phone. 28 users navigated a small object through a labyrinth in which they collect keys to open the door to the exit. Each participant did the test 6 times with different combinations of button size and button layout each time, done in a random order. Hits, misses, completion time, order of button size and order of button layout was collected and then visualized using R.

Vår avsikt med uppsatsen var att utvärdera e-handelslösningen osCommerce utifrån ett ramverk som vi skapade och genom en enklare installation av e-handelssystemet. Utvärderingen gjordes för att underlätta för en potentiell intressent att välja eller förkasta osCommerce. Genom att läsa om e-handel och IT i facklitteratur och på Internet hittade vi aspekter som vi ansåg var viktiga att beakta när det gällde kvaliteten på en e-handelslösning. Dessa aspekter - administration, funktioner och layout, säkerhet, teknologi, resursåtgång, installation, marknadsföring samt flexibilitet - kom att utgöra utvärderingskriterier i vårt ramverk. In Sweden there are 1894 small-scale hydropower plants in operation, which together generate 4.3 TWh of electricity per year according to Swedish hydropower compound (SVKF, 2011). This corresponds to the annual consumption of about 860,000 Swedish households (based on an annual consumption of 5000 kWh). In the mid-1950s there were around 4000 small-scale hydropower plants in operation in Sweden before cheap fossil fuels and uranium competed with them, in the current situation only 1,894 of these are in use. If slumbering small hydropower plants once again would be taken into use and some new ones are built, we would be able to extract about 7 TWh of renewable electricity from these annually in Sweden, representing about 1.4 million households.The thesis intends to calculate and construct a hydroelectric power plant at the existing dam in Olofsfors and give suggestions on how the power station should run during the time that fish migration is greatest in Leduån.The turbine and generator to the station in Leduån at Olofsfors is designed by the height of the fall and the water flow through the dam. The turbine selected for the station is a CK-1000RM turbine with a 4-pole 250 kW generator from Cargo & power turbine Sweden AB, which is expected to deliver 1.2 GWh per year.

The purpose of this project has been to redesign an already existing cook-book. The title of the book (directly translated), ?Season in food ? the year around with herbs and spices?, contains what the headline imposes: spices, herbs and food. But when the author tries to entwine these parts and communicate it to the reader it is not working all to well due to a poor and inconsistent graphic design.I have followed the theories and values of information design when I redesigned the book layout with the intent to simplify the communication between author and reader. In the progress to make a complete dummie of the book I did multiple literature studies, book analysis, tests and a vast number of drafts.In this report I will describe the whole process from start to finish.

Volvo Group Trucks Operations tillverkar motorer, växellådor och lastbilar till koncernens varumärken Volvo, Renault, Mack och UD-Trucks. Powertrain Production är produktionsenheten inom AB Volvo som producerar dieselmotorer och motorkomponenter. I Skövde består Volvos produktionsprocesser av gjutning, bearbetning och montering. Gjuteriet använder metaller och legeringar för att producera färdiga komponenter och delar. Tillverkningsmaterialet förvaras och hämtas från fabrikens materialgård.Materialgårdens tillväxt har skett okontrollerat genom åren.

SammanfattningI detta examensarbete har möjligheten att implementera en generator för att driva viss inbyggd elektronik i ett pneumatiskt handverktyg undersökts. Bakgrunden till denna uppgift, att få elektricitet i ett handverktyg, är att man vill slippa otympliga sladdar samt spara pengar. Uppdraget bestod i att undersöka hur detta kunde lösas, både mekaniskt och elektriskt, samt ta fram en prototyp på den bästa lösningen och utvärdera denna gentemot de krav som sattes upp.Resultatet av denna studie blev ett koncept där elektricitet bildas genom att en turbin med en generator placeras mellan ingående och utgående luft i handverktyget. Generatorn består av en borstlös ytterrotor DC motor där rotorn placeras inuti turbinhjulet och statorn sitter fast på turbinens utlopp vilket gör att elektricitet bildas när turbinhjulet snurrar. För att inte denna lösning ska ligga och dra luft i onödan byggdes även en ventil in i systemet.En analys på prototypen visade att den ventil som användes inte var tillräckligt effektiv.

This concerns store chains since it is so important that the stores communicate the retailers strategy and it is very critical because of the impact that the stores have on the communication with customers. It is after all in the stores that the buying decision is made. With this information, it is important to strive for uniformity through the chain and especially the stores.

Denna undersöknings syfte är att studera fenomenet mediekonvergens genom att jämföra två traditionella medieföretag, Aftonbladet och Expressen, som tidigare endast agerat på pressmarknaden. De har båda tagit steget in i den digitala världen genom att lansera nätupplagor av sina respektive tidningar. Jämförelsen fokuserar främst på webbplatsernas innehåll, layout, design och struktur och har som syfte att kartlägga och uppmärksamma tydliga skillnader för de två tidningarna. Jämförelsen av Internettidningarna sker i två steg, med en kvantitativ och en kvalitativ metod.Resultaten och analysen som framkom av studien visar att det finns skillnader mellan tidningarna i de fyra faktorerna innehåll, layout, design och struktur och dessa är som allra tydligast när det gäller den innehållsmässiga faktorn. Aftonbladet.se uppvisar tendenser till större nöjesfokusering.

Considering that the current technology is constantly improving, it becomes increasingly important to have an efficient logistics in a company to maintain profitability while achieving a competitive business. Efficient logistics may be accomplished by improving the internal materials handling. In this thesis the internal material handling of steel frames has been studied at a factory in Vaggeryd. The goal of this study is to investigate the problems that exist with the current production flow of products and provide suggestions on how it can be developed to reduce unnecessary handling and movement.The study has a deductive approach where the authors has been using literature studies parallel with empirical analyzes conducted at a company to achieve the purpose of the study. Documentation from the company and interviews with staff and observations form the basis for the data collection carried out.

Mitt examensarbete har gått ut på att stå för den grafiska formgivningen till en historiebok om byn Vormsele. Den här rapporten behandlar de layoutmässiga och typografiska frågor som har varit relevanta för mitt arbete med boken.För att genomföra uppdraget har jag gjort litteraturstudier där jag tagit fram riktlinjer för det praktiska arbetet med boken. Jag har läst böcker inom informationsdesign och mer inriktade böcker som behandlar layout och typografi. Litteraturstudierna gav mig ökad kunskap inom området och jag kunde utifrån dessa få en förståelse för vilka grafiska beslut som var nödvändiga att ta innan jag kunde påbörja själva layoutarbetet.Att sätta samman boken har varit ett omfattande arbete och mycket finns att läsa inom området. Rapporten avser inte på något sätt att behandla alla frågor som kan komma upp vid formgivning av en bok, utan behandlar de övergripande frågeställningar som har varit mest relevanta för mig i just detta arbete..
