Evaluation of Xilinx System Generator
This Master?s Thesis is an evaluation of the software Xilinx System Generator (XSG) and blockset for Matlab. XSG is a module to simulink developed by Xilinx in order to generate VHDL code directly from functions implemented in Matlab. The evaluation was made at Saab Avionics AB in Järfälla, north of Stockholm. In order to investigate the performance of this new module XSG to simulink, a model of a frequency estimator often used in digital radar receivers were implemented in Matlab using XSG.

Sensorfusion för ACC-System
Genom att fusionera (sammanföra) data från olika sensorer kan ett resultat uppnås som ger mer än de enskilda sensorerna var för sig. Här utreds vilka sensorer och sensorfusionsmetoder som kan vara aktuella att använda för Scanias adaptiva farthållare (ACC). Den adaptiva farthållaren anpassar det egna fordonets hastighet inte bara till en förinställd hastighet utan även till framförvarande fordons hastighet. Scanias ACC-system använder idag en radar för måldetektering.Det finns ett antal algoritmer och arkitekturer som passar för sensorfusionssystem beroende på nivån hos sensordatan och användningsområdet. Minstakvadratmetoder kan användas då data ska matchas mot en fysisk modell, ofta med lågnivådata.
Automatiserad kalibrering av väderradar
För att kalibrera väderradarna i Sverige finns en miniräknare med program som styr kalibreringen. Deluppgiften ?Program för kalibrering? innebär att överföra dessa program till en PC. Då ingen dokumentation finns om hur kommunikationen sker mellan radar och miniräknare, är första steget att analysera och jämföra programkoden från miniräknaren med informationen från en linjelyssnare. Därefter skrivs programmen i det grafiska programmeringsspråket Agilent Vee.
Gräfsnäs dolda skatter
This paper examines how to use different kinds of source material for building surveys. The studyexamines how to use legends, construction archaeological surveys and Ground Penetrating Radar(GPR) as source material, and use them against each other to ensure the reliability they have.As a starting point I used Gräfsnäs castle ruin in Alingsås, Sweden, as an example. Gräfsnäs castlewas probably built in the Middle Ages and was rebuilt through the ages until it became a ruin in thelate 1800s. The castle ruin is today Alingsås most visited attraction.The investigation has focused on three areas which are located in the very ruin; rescue tunnels, thecellar vault and the treasure.There are legends that describe how the castle lord of Gräfsnäs fled an attack of the Danes in 1612 ina rescue tunnel which ended at the beach. At the construction archaeological surveys carried out in1935-36 they found a sewer in the courtyard that was once served as rescue tunnel and ended in themoat.
Punktmolnshantering i anläggningsprojekt : Utvärdering av programvaror för framtagande av markmodell
An increased number of participants in the construction industry is asking for accompanying terrain models to the project in order to get a better understanding of the field. When the desire to create buildings that fit together nicely with the surrounding area is increasing, it becomes more and more important to have a broad base of knowledge about the ground on which the building is to be erected. Terrain models are also very useful in the planning of logistics, documentation for landscape architecture projects, and billings for mass calculations.Surveys for creating terrain models can be performed with laser scanning. The advantage of laser scanning is the time-effective surveying, the detailed information as well as the ability of application in complex environments resulting in a cost-efficient project. With this in mind our thesis was defined in collaboration with the company Bjerking AB in Uppsala in order to investigate if there were any softwares suitable for terrain modeling.

Den här rapporten beskriver hur en radarextraktor kan implementeras med hjälp av en signalprocessor (DSP). En radarextraktor extraherar viktig information ur en radarvideosignal och skapar plottar. Lasermätning i byggnad
Examensarbetet ?Laser measurements in building? utfordes under projektnamnet Laserscanner vid elektronikkonsultfirman Syntronic i Gavle av en student vid Linkopings Universitet. Projektet gar ut pa att utveckla och bygga en prototyp for beroringsfri avstandsmatning med laser. Prototypen skall sedan anvandas for utvardering av prestanda och identifiera problemomraden med denna typ av konstruktion. Prototypen innehaller ett delsystem for overforing av matdata till PC for efterbehandling.

In 2009 The National Land Survey of Sweden, Lantmäteriet, commenced a project intended to provide a new digital elevation model (DEM) of Sweden. The method chosen for the project was airborne laser scanning (ALS). In addition to information about the land surface the project will also provide information about the forest, this as a by-product. This data can be used to estimate forest variables such as height and volume. The estimates are often more reliable than what is standard today.
This study is based on interviews with employees and members of the forest owner association Södra in southern Sweden.
