On commission of the County administrative board in Värmland County a method was developed for analysis of the occurrence of artificial land use at lakes and watercourses. With artificial land use is meant land significantly affected by man. Two bases have been used to carry out the analysis. In one of the analysis the vegetation database and in the other GSD¹-Marktäckedata (land cover data) was used (this method has been used by County administrative board in Jönköping County).The analysis comprises all watercourses within Alsterälven river basin. The digital water bodies are created by the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute on the basis of GSD-Översiktskartan (general map).

People who invest capital in promising projects as a profession are called venture capitalists. They are constantly looking for new investment opportunities. Recently, media have observed a growing interest in forest land as capital investment. This is because several fund and investment company market the possibility of safe return through investment in woodland, both in Sweden and abroad. When an investment in forests is seen as an acceptable investment option, focus turns to nearby areas, namely agricultural land.

The name of the study means ?The short arm - a study in diversity and arm?s length in the cultural collaboration model?. Right now there is a reform in the Swedish cultural administration where the responsibility for handing out state funds and grants to cultural organizations is changing from the state government to the local regional governments. The purpose of this study is to map the organisational changes caused by the reform and investigate how this affects the regional policies concerning cultural diversity and the arm?s length principle.

How affected are the sugar production in Mozambique and Tanzania by EU sugar regime? What does the EU sugar reform constitute in these countries?Using theories regarding free trade and anti-free trade, I am able to answer these questions. The aim of this paper is to study how the various sugar agreements with EU affect the sugar production in Mozambique and Tanzania. Therefore I am using a method called a most similar system design in this comparative case study. The conclusion is that the EU sugar regime is the main reason to how the sugar productions in developing countries are.

Rapporten behandlar en jämförelse mellan den svenska byggtekniken och byggtekniken i ett varmt land som har de motsatta klimatproblemen, i detta fall Dubai.I den här rapporten beskrivs detaljerat processen hur vi har gått till väga med att projektera två olika tomter med samma värde och area. Ena tomten är belägen på Heleneborgsgatan 10-12 på Södermalm i Stockholm och den andra är på Al-Kuwait Rd. På Bar Dubai i Dubai.Förslaget går ut på att bygga de två planområdena med punkthus (projektera bostäder), samtidigt förbättra stadsbilden och få mer uppmärksamhet till varje tomt, genom detta kan vi studera och jämföra byggtekniken och designen i ett varmt och kallt land med olika standard.Vi redovisar det i en Revit Architecture modell samt material och byggteknisk jämförelse.Därmed redovisar rapporten hur studieresan som vi utförde gav oss den information som hjälpte oss att utföra jämförelsen.Ur jämförelsen framgår att det är förvånansvärt få skillnader mellan byggandet i Stockholm respektive Dubai..

I den här uppsatsen har jag valt att göra en jämförelse mellan de två kommunerna Piteå och Skellefteå och hur de har använt sig utav implementeringen av New Public Management inom respektive kommunal organisation. Jag har även studerat mer i detalj vad New Public Management innebär. Till min hjälp hade jag fyra stycken informanter från de två kommunerna. Jag gjorde djupintervjuer med de på deras respektive kontor och varje intervju tog mellan 30 till 40 minuter. Jag använde mig utav en intervjuguide till varje intervju och den innehöll sammanlagt arton frågor.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka synen på kvinnors rätt till utbildning och kvinnans plats i samhället i samband med riksdagsdebatten om läroverksreformen 1927. Genom denna reform skulle det bli ytterliggare förbättringar, mer lika vilkor för båda könen i vår utbildningshistoria. Utvecklingen av denna reform ledde till att kvinnor skulle få tillträde till de statliga läroverken och därmed kunde avlägga en högre utbildningsexamen. Genom denna undersökning vill jag lyfta fram de olika åsikterna om kvinnors rätt till utbildning på politisk nivå under mellankrigstiden i Sverige, för att vi som blivande lärare ska få en förståelse för andra länders situation idag när det gäller utbildning för flickor och pojkar..

Andelen utrikes födda utgör en allt större del av Sveriges befolkning. Många av dem kommer från länder utanför EU/EES, dvs. tredje land, och har en akademisk utbildning från sitt hemland. Det har visat sig problematiskt för dessa människor att etablera sig på den svenska arbetsmarknaden i linje med deras utbildning och problematiken är särskilt utmärkande inom reglerade yrkesgrupper. Tandläkare är ett reglerat yrke och personer som flyttar till Sverige, med en tandläkarexamen från ett tredje land, måste därför genomgå prövning och komplettering av sin kompetens för att erhålla svensk legitimation.

Målet med uppsatsen är att jämföra likheter och skillnader i gestaltningen av främlingskap i Ivar Lo- Johanssons roman Kungsgatan och i Theodor Kallifatides roman Utlänningar. Uppsatsen jämför förhållandet mellan stad och land i Kungsgatan med förhållandet mellan hemland och nytt land i Utlänningar. Socialpsykologiska perspektiv på främlingskap, identitet och acklimatisering i kombination med litteraturteoretiska begrepp från postkolonial litteraturteori används för att undersöka hur romanerna fiktivt gestaltar uppbrotts- och acklimatiseringsprocesser. Analysen indelas i förhållandet mellan stad/land och hemland/nytt land, kvinnans dubbla främlingskap, språkets inverkan på identiteten samt individens förmåga eller oförmåga att anpassa sig till en ny miljö. Det skildrade främlingskapets anknytning till en ny dubbel identitet analyseras för att tolka karaktärernas hantering av främlingskapet.

The Government announced a new school reform which aims to support teacher appraisal and professionalism within the Swedish education system. The once well renowned profession is hurting by the decreasing quality of the Swedish education system and the declining number of applicants to the university teacher program. The school reform introduced a new career path for especially skilled teachers to an occupation earlier characterized by a homogenous work force. The Government encourages principals to promote thriving teachers to first teachers, whom will receive an increase in the salary covered by state aid. By supporting these effective teachers, the Government wishes to increase the image perceived and status of the profession and improve the competitiveness of teaching's salary.

The aim of this study has been to make clear the conception of ?The Garden City?, and also to investigate why and how the garden city has come to be a more frequent and attractive form of settlement in our Swedish community. Ship formed monuments from the Late Bronze Age on the island of O?land, southeast Sweden, have never been thoroughly dealt with in previous research, despite the fact that the region is suggested to have had a key-role in maritime trade networks. This thesis aims to address the ship formed monuments on O?land in relationship to the monuments in northern Sma?land and the island of Gotland. My goal is to discuss how the ship symbolism was practised during the Late Bronze Age in Scandinavia from a new perspective.

This essay aims to map the ideas behind the Swedish cultural reform called Kultursamverkansmodellen, and how the ideas are forming a discourse. Furthermore it examines the social praxis on the three levels that constitutes the model. The three levels are the state, the region and culture creators/civil society. This is a qualitative study based on primary and secondary sources collected on the three levels. The theoretical frame of reference is based on institutional theory, on Michel Foucault?s lecture on The Discourse of Language, and on New Public Management.
