In this essay a proposal of city renewal is made for the new train station area built on highly productive agricultural land in Landskrona. The proposal is based on how the situation for the agricultural land in terms of exploitation looks like today and also on theories of urban governance to find out why the area turned out the way it did..

I stadsranden sker det fysiska mötet mellan vägar och gator samt mellan stad och land. Här sker även mötet mellan urbana och rurala ideal. Syftet i detta arbete är att identifiera och belysa de urbana och rurala ideal som ligger bakom vår uppfattning om stad och land. Dessa ideal står i fokus för den litteraturstudie som belyser det bipolära förhållandet mellan den pastorala naturliga landsbygden och den vitala kulturella staden. Bakgrunden till dessa ideal studeras samt hur gestaltningen och utvecklingen av stad och land påverkats av dessa ideal.

This study analyses the economic consequences due to ethanol production in Eastern Sweden. The analyses consider the cooperative and the farmers as one vertically integrated company. The area that found the market in this study is illustrated in figure 1. The analyses assume that all members act jointly with the objective of maximizing joint profits at the farm level as well as at the cooperative firm. A mathematical model is created to calculate the optimal use of arable land.

I detta arbete har vi studerat tre utvalda hjälporganisationers marknadsföring på deras respektive webbplatser för att klargöra om deras budskap om situationen i ett u-land är objektivt förmedlat. Vi utförde analyser av respektive webbplats där vi fokuserade oss på bildspråk och budskap. Vi har besökt landet Ghana i västra Afrika under en två veckors volontärperiod som presenterades i form av en observation. En enkät gavs ut till två utvalda grupper som behandlade frågor om hur de upplever hjälporganisationernas budskap och även enkla statistiska frågor om vårt undersökningsland Ghana. Vi hade som mål att komma fram till en produktidé som kunde grunda sig på resultatet av undersökningen.

The aim of this master?s thesis in administrative law has been to study the property owners' legal rights when a third party impacts on the property. The essay is based on several case studies of landowners in central Sweden which has the purpose of forming a background to the legal studies of this field. The framework for current studies builds therefore on landowners' experiences of impairment and damages on their property and has been added to highlight a current problem that exists in central Sweden. The purpose of the study is therefore to see whether a protection in law is imposed on landowners with such problems as the land ownership study shows.

The Swedish Parliament has decided to increase the share of electricity produced by wind power. The same parliament has decided that the Sami have the right to herd reindeer over 50% of the country's land area. In this literature review the potential impact wind power development and associated infrastructure may have on reindeer husbandry conditions are examined. The unique physiology of the reindeer enables it to live out of grazing in the arctic climate in the north of Sweden. For reindeer husbandry to be long-term productive and sustainable, it is important that there is enough land for grazing. The research available on how reindeer are disturbed by human activities such as roads, mines, hikers, etc., clearly indicates that the reindeer avoids areas close to such disturbance.

This essay is about the hamlets´ older boundaries, i.e. boundary lines (?rågångar?) and boundary markers in the form of rocks, and an own survey of two hamlet boundaries in southeast Sweden. Many of the boundary rocks were subjected to unintentional damage or destruction that arose during forestry activities, the excavation of ditches, or road construction. Boundaries between hamlets sparsely populated areas were not clearly defined from the beginning, but were established initially in the form of boundary zones, that often consisted of wetlands, watercourses, or mountain heights.

En ojämlikhetsfälla är ett tillstånd av relativ brist på tillgångar och möjligheter, skapat och bevarat av en snedvriden institutionell miljö. Vår frågeställning är huruvida ojämlikhetsfällan som fenomen består efter en genomgripande privatiseringsreform. Det fall som vi undersöker är Buenos Aires, som 1993 genomförde världens hittills största vattenkoncession. Koncessionen annullerades 2006, sjutton år i förtid.

The purpose of this report is to study when and why legal persons have been allowed to acquire agricultural properties. The ownership of agricultural property is governed by the Land Acquisition Act. The reason for this is because they want to limit legal person owner-ship of agricultural properties. It is believed that a large proportion of pri-vate ownership is healthy and stimulating for the Swedish countryside. There are some exceptions in which legal persons may be able to acquire. This is a review over decisions taken by the authorities. In this report I have studied purchases made between 2008 and 2010.

AbstractAimThe aim of the pilot study was to compare short- and long-term effects from group exercise in water with land-based exercise on pain at rest and pain with movement, along with the effects on function in daily life and practice of sports and leisure activities in patients with knee osteoarthritis. The aims were: Is there a difference in short- and long-term effects on pain intensity at rest and pain with movement after exercise in water or land in patients with knee osteoarthritis? Is there a correlation between the degree of pain intensity at rest and with movement, respectively and long-term effects from the two different exercises on function in daily life and practice of sports and leisure? MethodThe study was a randomized intervention study without a control group. Twenty patients with radiographic knee osteoarthritis were under a total of eight weeks treated with either land- or water-based exercise lead by a physiotherapist. The patients rated pain intensity at rest and with movement on a numerical rating scale (NRS) before and after the first training session, before and after the eighth training session, before and after the fifteenth training session and before the last and sixteenth training session.

This thesis has, by using a method with three different dichotomies, traced and classified influences from William S Lind?s theories regarding manoeuvre warfare in the Swedish military doctrine, for land operations. Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva sjuksköterskors upplevelser av att ha arbetat i u-land genom organisationen Läkare utan gränser. Studien genomfördes som en intervjustudie baserad på semistrukturerade frågor. Fyra sjuksköterskor som under de senaste två åren arbetat i u-land deltog i studien. Resultatet visade att viljan att rädda liv i kombination med spänning och äventyr motiverade sjuksköterskorna att arbeta. Innan uppdragen fick sjuksköterskorna gå en förberedande kurs genom Läkare utan gränser.

The authors of this paper intended to study and compare local secondary schools(municipally owned schools) and independent secondary schools(privately owned schools) in Stockholm County. The purpose oft his paper is to explore how secondary schools market themselves and whether the view and use of marketing is different between municipal and independent secondary schools. The essay is by nature multi-case study and interviews were conducted with representatives from four high schools, two municipal and two independent, one representative from Education Committee and one from Privet Schools? Association.The introduction of School reform in 1992 enabled opening of privately owned schools and empirical datas hows that before 1992 secondary schools did not have the same extent of competition and the need of marketing was not widespread, but today there is fierce competition among secondary schools. The introduction of School reform changed the conditions for the Swedish school market, greater freedom of choice led to atougherfight for the students, which in turn increases the competition between secondary schools.

Syftet med arbetet är att ge en bild av svenska keramikers inspirationskällor till yta och dekor under 1800-, 1900- och 2000-talet. Det som är relevant för frågeställningen är att ta reda på ursprunget till dessa källor och varför just dem har inspirerat och banat väg för dåtida, samtida och framtida keramiska uttryck i dekor och yta. Frågeställningarna har besvarats genom en kvalitativ litteraturstudie i kombination med två kvalitativa intervjuer med två idag verksamma keramiker i Sverige kring deras tillämpning av yta och dekor på sina föremål under 1990-talet samt 2000-talet. En begränsning har gjorts i urvalet av perioder studerade i arbetet på så sätt att början av 1800-talet har utelämnats samt även alla studier kring 1920-, 30-, och 40-talen. Resultatet visar på effekten av industrialiseringen, samt vikten av pionjärer och möjligheter att söka information.
