This thesis focuses on the driver?s experience of the road and its surroundings. ?The view from the road? takes place every day and a high-quality ?road experience? is therefore a question of importance. Since cars made their breakthrough in the 1920-30, the approach to ?the driver experience? has varied notably.

Markus och Kitayama definierar oberoende jag som ett jag som är självständig och separat från andra individer. Kollektivt jag definieras som ett sammankopplat till andra individer. Syftet med studien var att undersöka vilka upplevelser kring identitet som en person med invandrarbakgrund har. Målet var även att undersöka vad som påverkade individens upplevelser kring identiteten. Åtta intervjuer genomfördes genom chat, där deltagarnas ålder varierade mellan 20-46 år.

Quality is a vague concept, it seems to be about a ?gut feeling? but is used as if it were a concrete property. This paper examines the defenition of the concept of quality, the relation between quality and gender equality and also what the representation between the genders in exhibitions, purchases and donations looks like in this day. As method for this paper text analysis, with searchlight on the two parameters of quality and equality, have been used on documents that provide a historical and a cultural policy perspective. The main part of the paper is an analysis of the visual arts on Värmlands museum, Kristinehamns konstmuseum and Rackstadmuseet.In the discussion of the paper, chapter 5, the result of the research is presented.

Intresset för begreppet venture capital väcktes av den anledning att det är ett dagsaktuellt ämne som ständigt florerar i massmedia. Denna studie behandlar individens beslutsfattande i ett venture capitalbolag och har landat i ett syfte där vi vill skapa en förståelse för hur individerna i ett venture capitalbolag fattar investeringsbeslut. Detta genom att beskriva vad individuella beslutsfattare grundar sina beslut på i nyetablerade IT-företag. Vi har utgått från teorier kring erfarenhet, information, förtroende och vilka huvudsakliga beslutskriterier venture capitalister använder sig av i sitt beslutsfattande. Eftersom vi har använts oss av teorier och därefter genomfört en empirisk undersökning har vi ett deduktivt angreppssätt.

The aim of this Master's thesis is to examine the ways in which culture and cultural policy are being articulated in the process of Lund's application to become Sweden's European Cultural Capital of 2014.I have used Dorte Skot-Hansen's three cultural political rationalities: the humanistic-, the sociological- and the instrumental rationality, as well as and Jenny Johannisson's extension of those into three cultural-political discourses, as sensitizing concepts in my analysis. The questions raised are: How are the three rationalities/discourses articulated in the chosen central documents and in the process surrounding them? Which themes and arguments dominate the chosen documents?The main objects of my study have been four texts that have been produced in the applicationprocess: a Prestudy, a Plan of action, a Broschure and a Cultural policy. Along with them local political protocols, newspaper articles and other related material have been used. The research method applied was a qualitative eclectical textual analysis with emphasis on the content and on tracing the way the rationalities were expressed in the material.The rationalities were all found to be articulated in the four texts.

Problem: Leveranser av IT tjänster från lågkostnadsländer till Sverige.Syfte: Att ta reda på hur svenska företag ser på leveranser av IT tjänster från lågkostnadsländer och ta reda på vilka drivkrafter och hinder som existerar. Eftersom Indien är det land som står för de största volymerna vad gäller produktion av IT tjänster så blir det naturligt att fokusera mest på det landet.Teori och modell: Idag produceras hälften av världens IT tjänster i Indien. Svenska företag ligger ungefär tre år efter sina brittiska och amerikanska kollegor vad gäller att köpa IT tjänster från Indien.Metod: Vi valde en kvalitativ metod för att få fördjupad information kring ämnet och genomförde nio intervjuer med olika svenska företag. Förutom dessa intervjuer hämtade vi data från publicerade artiklar.Resultat: Vår undersökning visar på att Indien är ett land att satsa på vad det gäller leveranser av IT tjänster. Att hitta tillräckligt stora IT projekt för att Indien ska ses som lönsamt, verkar vara det främsta hindret.

The aim of this study was about how librarians in Sweden work with their web page to reach young people between the ages of fifteen and nineteen. Most of the youths in Sweden today use Internet every day for several reasons, and the library should have an obvious place there as well. It shouldbe obvious because almost all youths uses Internet every day and therefore the library needs to be seen there as well to reach out to them. Earlier research has shown that librarians and youths think differently in this question. Youths think that the library web page is more important for the librarythan the librarians do.How do the librarians work with marketing for youths on the web page? Do their policy documents help them in their work?To study this area we have interviewed librarians from six quite large public libraries from different parts of thecountry.

För att främja landsbygdens utveckling och till följd av förändringar i markpolitiken tilläts genom lag bildandet av stora bostadsfastigheter på landsbygden 1990. Detta skulle ske genom att öka den enskildes möjlighet att utforma sin fastighet efter egna önskemål. Glesbygd, som är landsbygd karaktäriserad av gles befolkning, är mer utsatt för de problem som landsbygden står inför. Syftet med studien är att undersöka om det finns eller borde finnas en skillnad mellan lands- och glesbygden vid fastighetsbildning av stora bostadsfastigheter. Studien utförs genom en genomgång av rättskällor, tolkning av rättsfall och analys av Lantmäteriets praxis.

In the near future we need to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions significantly for the benefit of the environment around us. The European Union has de-manded a variety of climate and energy goals to be achieved by year 2020, the ?20-20-20? targets. With these aims, The European Union means that we must reduce our emissions from fossil fuels and instead increase our renewable fuels. With stump harvest in the forest it?s possible to increase the use of renewable fuels and reduce our emissions from fossil fuels.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how the researcher experiences its role in real life in relation to the field of education and adult learning. The context of the study is the academic department of education and adult learning in Swedish institutions. This is a qualitative study, inspired by Grounded Theory. Data consist of interviews, texts from policy documents and reports. Both the aspects gender and context have been taken into consideration.

The object for this study is a company developing and manufacturing vehicles for heavy transportation. The company distributes their products on a global market. Therefore the company is required to have efficient internal production development processes in order to successfully beat the competition. The purpose of this master thesis is to study how this particular company intends to implement their standardized theoretical product development process within their organization and how well it is done. We intend to identify and specify if the process has any unexploited capacity.

In connection with the admittance of the EC-directive (99/31/EC) in Swedish politic, through the constitution of waste depositing (2001:512) at year 2001, the rules about management the landfills and leachates tightened. At the landfill Vissberga in the municipality of Hallsberg, a leachate treatment plant was constructed just a year thereafter. This treatment plant consisted of an aerated pond with a following land treatment and a willow cultivation to replace the land treatment during the summer. In this case the parameters, which were estimated as the most important to reduce, were iron and nitrogen. The iron would react with the oxygen-rich water in the aerated pond and precipitate to ferric-hydroxide and than settle in a calm zone of the pond.

Sexmånaders- och ettårsregeln är en av de metoder som används för att eliminera den internationella dubbelbeskattningen. För att sexmånaders- och ettårsregeln ska vara tillämpliga får inte den skattskyldiga personen göra kortare avbrott i Sverige som är mer än 6 dagar per varje hel månad eller mer än 72 dagar under ett och samma anställningsår. I lagen stadgas det inget om hur många dagar en skattskyldig får tillbringa i tredje land, dock har SKV kommit med ett ställningstagande som berör denna fråga. SKV har kommit fram till att en skattskyldig inte får vistas mer än 8 dagar per hel månad eller mer än 96 dagar under ett och samma anställningsår i Sverige och i tredje land.SKV:s ställningstagande har ifrågasatts då det bland annat anses att ställningstagandet saknar stöd i lagtext, förarbeten och praxis. Mot bakgrund av SKV:s ställningstagande är uppsatsen syfte att analysera för vilka lagtolkningsmetoder SKV har använt sig av i sitt ställlningstagande samt att utreda för huruvida SKV har stöd för sitt ställningstagande i lagtext, förarbeten och praxis.Analysen om vilka lagtolkningsprinciper SKV har använt sig av i sitt ställningstagande visar att SKV har använt sig av en subjektiv lagtolkningsmetod.

While almost 23 percent of the students in the Swedish upper secondary school are foreigners, only a fraction of the school libraries? collections consists of literature written in other languages than Swedish or English. This study examines how five school librarians experience the task of working with literature composed in foreign languages in the multicultural and multilingual school of today. The results of the qualitative interviews are analyzed in relation to the legislation and policy documents that the school libraries are working by, and also in relation to the theoretical framework of sociocultural theory and the theories on second language acquisition developed by linguist Jim Cummins.The study shows that while multilingualism is discussed as an important matter in the legislation and policy documents that the school libraries work by, the librarians in this study largely view the question of foreign literature as peripheral. Most part of the librarians connects first language reading to leisure-time activities rather than curricular activities, and stresses that the Swedish language should be prioritized in Swedish schools.
