This project is a deepening in how the space in psychiatric care setting can promote and improve thepatient?s well-being. The aim with this study was to create a manual for architects and the care to takepart of. This would consist of different aspects of how the space can be created for a more secure,care taking and healing space. With help of the manual the study would continue by creating a healingpatient room in a psychiatric clinic.The main questions were; can we create an environment which improves the healing process for thementally ill? What are the factors that we need to consider to creating a room for psychiatric care?This study only looks at the patient room, the common room and how the environment can affect theiremotional and physical well-being.By taking part of already made studies in this subject or similar, making my own studies by visitingpsychiatric departments and exploring how the spaces there contribute or not contribute to the healingprocess of the patient.

This is a study of some risk factors for Diabetes Mellitus (DM) in dogs. As a pilot study it is meant to give information to be used in a planned later, larger and better controlled study. The present study hypothesized that suboptimal feeding (high percentage of homemade and table foods), lack of activity and overweight contribute to the risk of DM. Twenty consecutive dogs diagnosed with DM at the Veterinary University Clinic in Uppsala between 2000 ? 2003 were chosen as the experimental group.

SUMMARYThere was no previous study in what high level dressage riders had for ideas of how to best prepare for their training sessions with an instructor. Neither any study of how high level dressage riders seemed to be more or less susceptible to the instructions from their instructor during their training sessions. If the sport had more knowledge about this, it might result in more riders on a higher level. The purpose of this study was to find out how high level dressage riders are preparing themselves for the best result for an instructor led training session and how they could bring as much as possible instructions from the coach. The two questions of the study were: How are high level dressage riders preparing themselves for a training session with an instructor, practically and mentally, and how can they affect their susceptibility to instructions?The study was carried out both by reviewing existing literature and studies in general education and pedagogy in the riding education, and by a qualitative interview study of six dressage riders who rode on a difficult level at the competitions, during the year of 2009.

Background: According to us, obtaining reimbursement of expenses in connection with a representation is a ?forgotten? process, and we therefore find it interesting to look further into. In some cases we have not claimed for compensation since we consider the process as too complicated or that we lost the original receipt. Ernst & Young (2009) say in their research that within the financial management area, Swedish operations loses billions of Swedish crowns due to bad routines. Okada and Hoch (2004) mention that if time were not considered as a resource, time would not be a hinder.

The master thesis has been constructed together with Scania, who had a wish to develop their training for newly employed design engineers. The purpose of this thesis is to examine how a company's introduction process can be shaped, as the introduction is the key to success for the individual as well as the organization. With a focus on how the productivity among newly employees can increase and how the introduction becomes meaningful to the individuals and the organization, the objective of this work is to develop concepts applicable for an introduction.The work was conducted using qualitative interviews with several different individuals at Scania and other companies. Along with the interviews a survey was constructed and sent out to newly employed design engineers at Scania to get a view of their opinions on the present training. During the first period of a job there are several factors that affect the employee based on the result from the interviews, previous research and theories.

A strong brand can help a company to be easier to recognize and be remembered by their customers. Part of branding is to create a visual appearance which is called a graphic profile and contains information on for instance a logo, colours or typography.The objective of this thesis was to create a graphic profile for Stjørdal Tannhelsesenter that could serve as a base for a brand work in the future. It was important to analyze how the clinic wants to be perceived and how it is perceived today. The methods used to carry out this study were questionnaires, researches and a focus group.The work resulted in the generation of a graphic profile that included a new logo, colours, decorative elements, fonts, templates for stationery, business card / badge, imagery, and examples of some publications.According to the test which was made to examine the results of the project showed that I was successful and that the new design meets all the requests from the previous questionnaires..

In Sweden live badgers are used in tests in order to train and prepare earth dogs for hunting underneath ground. This has for several years causeddebate concerning the welfare of the badgers. It is questioned whether the purpose of the dog training, i.e. to reduce injuries in both dogs and prey, is worth the suffering that is reflected on the badgers. The aim of this investigation was to study 1) stress levels in badgers when used in earth dog training, 2) if the stress load differs when the badgers are exposed to dogs with varying aggression levels (low, moderate, high).

På initiativ av Håkan Gerdin påbörjades utvecklingen av ett personaluthyrningsprogram, eftersom han en lång tid saknat ett program med denna specifika inriktning. Detta startade sommaren 2002 genom ett examensarbete med väl genomfört förarbete och utformning av programmets design. Programmet fick även namnet GOE!. Under hösten samma år gjordes ännu ett examensarbete som bestod av att realisera större delen av GOE!. Då det fortfarande saknades funktioner och manual erbjöd jag mig att göra delar av detta arbete som sedan inleddes i början av 2003.

AbstractThis essay is an investigation where I try to gain an increased knowledge of the three assistants? (in the mentally disability profession) opinion about their education and their first years in their profession. I have also tried to answer the questions whether the course mentally disability/functional gives the students a good start in their profession, if there are any flaws or if something is missing in the course or if they can think of any improvements to make the course better.This investigation is performed as a qualitative interview study where three women were interviewed about their education and their first years as assistants? (in the mentally disability profession). All the interviewed women have been working in the care activity for two or three years since they graduated.

Syfte och forskningsfrågor: Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka den amerikanska arménsföreställningar om motståndsgruppers identitet i deras manual FM 3-24.2, FM 90-8, FM 7-98,Tactics in Counterinsurgency. De frågeställningar som ska ge mig svaret är: Vilka föreställningarom motståndsgruppens identitet framkommer i amerikanska arméns manual? Vilka identiteter är detsom finns i amerikanska arméns manual? Hur relateras de olika identiteterna till varandra?Metod och material: Dokumentanalys av amerikanska arméns manual för strid motmotståndsgrupperHuvudresultat: Manualen bidrar inte med att klart och tydligt identifiera fienden.Motståndsgruppen är svår att skilja från andra som gör motstånd eller protesterar. Det kan finnasflera motståndsgrupper, men motståndsgrupper klumpas ihop med milis, gäng, kriminella, utländskaagenter och terrorister. Motståndsgrupperna kan vara politiska rörelser som vill åtgärda verkligaeller upplevda missförhållande.

Aim and questionsThe purpose for this study was to investigate how marks and mark settings are formed in physical training at some compulsory schools. We also wanted to see how the criteria for marks are formed. These were the main questions during this study.? How do the students find the evaluation and the making in physical training?? Are there differences between different student groups when it comes to their experience around estimation and marking in physical training? (gender, marks, schools etc.)? How do the teachers motivate their marking in physical training?? Are there any differences between the criteria for marking between different schools?MethodThe study was carried out during the spring 2005 at eight schools in a municipality in the middle of Sweden. The study involved 339 students opinion polls and 12 teacher opinion polls.

Vi undrade hur arbetsprocessen för att översätta ett företags identitet till en grafisk identitet såg ut och vad som krävdes för att den skulle kommunicera det företaget ville. För att kunna göra detta gjorde vi en teoretisk del och en praktisk del. Den teoretiska delen baserades på litteraturstudier samt intervjuer. Denna information blev grunden till den praktiska del som bestod av en kommunikativ plattform och en grafisk manual till företaget. Genom att arbeta oss genom hela processen kom vi fram till att det viktigaste för att skapa en bra visuell identitet var att skaffa sig kunskap om företaget, vad dom ville förmedla och hur konkurrenssituationen såg ut.

I samband med att datorstödda ritningsprogram introducerades i byggbranschen, effektiviserades utformningen av ritningar. Tekniken innebar att tidigare metoder med att rita för hand delvis bibehölls, fastän ritningarna utfördes på datorn. De senaste åren har byggbranschen påbörjat en ny förändring avseende framställning av handlingar, med användning av Building Information Modell (BIM). Med denna metod skapas en modell i 3D över byggnaden och dess omgivning. Modellen snittas i planer och sektioner, vilka utgör traditionella ritningar i 2D.

Att arbeta med ART metoden är en kvalitativ studie med syftet att ta reda på hur ett specifikt arbetslag arbetar med modellen Aggressive Replacement Training (ART) i en skolverksamhet. ART metoden är en beteendeförändringsmodell skapad för kriminella utåtagerande och aggressiva unga. Utveckling av ART metoden och dess anpassningsbarhet har gjort den till en arbetsmodell som används inom skolan, då modellen anses kunna ge alla barn och unga verktyg och träning i dess sociala och emotionella utveckling. Metoden innehåller de tre huvudkomponenterna: socialfärdighetsträning, känslokontrollträning och moralträning. Arbetslaget Trädet som deltar i studien arbetar endast aktivt med ART modellens sociala färdighetsträning och pedagogernas arbete med denna komponent presenteras i uppsatsens analysdel.
