Problembaserad undervisning : med elevers lärande i fokus
Utifrån min ansats, att stor del av matematikundervisningen går att bedriva med hjälp av problembaserad undervisning. I sådan undervisning menar jag att eleverna ges möjlighet att prova sina egna teorier vid lösning av ett problem, i både individuella och gemensamma uppgifter, samt ges de möjlighet att ta del av andras teorier. Jag vill med hjälp av variationsteorin ta tillvara på spridningen av elevernas olika lösningar av problem inom matematik. Syftet med arbetet är att identifiera de kritiska aspekterna utifrån lärandets objekt och tillrättalägga undervisningen mot det. I detta arbete har jag valt elevers svaga förståelse för uträkningar inom de fyra räknesätten i textuppgifter som lärandets objekt.Tjugotvå elever har intervjuats utifrån ett problem taget från NCMs Känguruproblem, Ecolier 2012. Learning study och variationsteorin utgör studiens teoretiska utgångspunkt och har använts för att analysera materialet.Studiens resultat har visat att eleverna får en ökad förståelse för lärandets objekt om lektionerna riktar sig mot de kritiska aspekterna..
Gymnasieskolans samverkan med det omgivande samhället : En studie i hur dagens näringsliv och gymnasieskolans näringslivskontakter återspeglas i företagsekonomiundervisningen vid två gymnasieskolor
Non-compulsory schools in Sweden should make use of the knowledge and experience that is available in society according to the aims and objectives of the Curriculum for the Non-Compulsory School System - Lpf 94. There are however only a few studies which have focused on the contacts between non-compulsory schools and society as represented by the business world in Sweden.The purpose of this study is to examine in what ways and to what extent non-compulsory schools are following the Curriculum by using the knowledge and experience of the business world. The perspectives have been: Which contacts in the business world and which working practices from the business world are implemented in teaching in non-compulsory schools? In what way do these contacts and working practices affect the teaching and learning of business administration? The purpose of this study is also to examine if the teachers in non-compulsory schools use business information and different kinds of business knowledge and experiences in order to keep themselves up-to-date regarding the business world. The perspectives have been: Are the teachers using up-to-date business information or business experience? Are the teachers applying a multicultural perspective in teaching business studies? In what way does this kind of information or first-hand experience affect the teaching and learning of business administration?The method used in this study was to interview seven teachers from two non-compulsory schools in Stockholm.
"Man kan aldrig visualisera för mycket" : en studie om visualisering iskolan
Syftet med denna studie är att knyta an till Högskolan i Gävles riktlinjer för ett examensarbete, undersöka betydelsen av visualisering på en arbetsplats samt kartlägga en pedagogs uppfattningar av dennes tankar med hjälp av datorprogrammet Complador. Någon tidigare forskning har inte funnits inom detta område, vilket gjorde att ett intresse väcktes hos författarna. Studien bygger på litteraturstudier samt intervjuer. För att få svar på visualiseringens betydelse valdes intervjuer med en rektor samt tre pedagoger, kartläggning av en pedagogs uppfattningar gjordes via Complador vilket ledde till resultatet i denna studie. Intervjuerna visar på att visualisering har en stor betydelse både för pedagogerna själva samt deras dagliga arbete, både som kollega och klasslärare.
Möte mellan konst och landskapsarkitektur : gestaltning av Malmö Konsthalls utemiljö samt en rumslig studie av utställning av konst
The primary ambition of this degree thesis is to create a representative outdoor environment that surrounds Malmö Konsthall (Malmö art center) which reflects the amazing inside of the artcenter. During this work it has become more and more obvious that Magistratsparken, which is situated right next to the artcenter, ought to be incorporated into this project.
This thesis aims to examine the possibilities of implementing temporary outdoor artshows on this site. First; is there any interest in exhibiting art at this site? And secondly, if that is the case, what are the spatial needs and how can you prepare the place for future exhibitions and still keep its flexibility for different kinds of art forms to comfortably perform at this site?.
Breed differences in natriuretic peptides in healthy dogs
Measurement of plasma concentrations of natriuretic peptides have been suggested to be of diagnostic and prognostic value in canine cardiac disease. In several previous canine studies, however, a considerable overlap between investigated groups has been identified. A reliable natriuretic peptide test for use in clinical practice requires establishment of reference values for natriuretic peptides in healthy dogs and cut-off values for subclinical disease as well as for clinical signs of congestive heart failure. Numerous physiological, pathological and pharmacological factors, aside heart function, may influence concentration of natriuretic peptides. A potential effect of dog breed on natriuretic peptide concentration has been suggested but has, to our knowledge, not previously been specifically studied.
Projektet Från tanke till handling - Läsfrämjande i utveckling
The purpose of this study is to explore the possibilities for children?s librarians to extend their competence in the area of reading promotion. The study is carried out within an ongoing reading promotion project directed towards small children from 0-7 years. The study aims to answer the following questions: How do children?s librarians develop new skills in a reading promotion project? How do children?s librarians view a broadening of the concept of reading and how does their approach affect which skills that are acknowledged?The study is mainly based on qualitative interviews with five children´s librarians who all participate in the project.
Arbetslöshetens (o)kända ansikten : Ett arbetsmarknadsprojekt i Rågsved i en tid av avancerad marginalitet och territoriell stigmatisering
This essay intervenes in the politics of urban segregation in Stockholm. The main aim of the essay is to analyze and describe how advanced marginality and territorial stigmatization are expressed in the lived experiences of four unemployed youths, that have participated in a labor market training program located in the ?social vulnerable? area Rågsved. With a theoretical framework based in Henri Lefebvre?s production of social space the empirical findings are interpreted in regard to how the youths produce social space in dialectical interplay with urban politics, advanced marginality, territorial stigmatization, and their local neighborhood.
Det finns ju inga patentlösningar : En studie om kompetensutveckling i kunskapsföretag
The aim of this study is to investigate how employees in consulting companies develop their competence in order to perform their daily work. The focus is on informal competence development. The theoretical framework consists of theories concerning learning and competence development in working life, theories on organizational change and evaluation, a well as professional reflection. The methods applied are narrative research and interviews based on the assumption that knowledge about reality is only obtainable through language and communication.The main results show that competence is developed through experience, social interaction, communication and dialog with co-workers and customers. The post-modern conceptions of the rapid (technical) development and need to be up-to-date has a strong hold on the informants apprehension of working life, as does the notion of not having enough time for all the competence development they would like.
Datoranvändning : En diskursanalys av medias attityder till dator och surfplatta
The essay is a discourse analysis of the media's attitudes toward computing. The aim is to compare what the media is really saying about the usage of tablets, computers and compare it to what the research is saying. In addition, it examines what the media says about socialization. We analyze the newspapers Dagens Nyheter and Expressen and will first compare these two together and see what attitudes that emerge, and then seek similarities and differences with the previous research and theories including socialization learning, attitudes and consumption. Conclusions we can draw is that Expressen has a more negative attitude towards the use of computers while the Dagens Nyheter has a more positive attitude, but is also more objective to what they write about.
Kompetensutveckling via e-learning- en litteraturstudie om sjuksköterskans inställning och upplevelser.
Syftet med mitt examensarbete är att lyfta fram vad mobbning innebär. Vad är det som definierar mobbning, vilka utformningar den kan ha och varför det bara är vissa som blir mobbade. Min avsikt är även den att lyfta fram skolans ansvar gentemot mobbning. Hur kan man arbeta förebyggande samt vilka åtgärder finns det i skolan mot mobbning.
Mina tre frågeställningar i mitt arbete är följande:

? Vilka åtgärder inom skolan finns mot mobbning?

In this study I?ve examined bilingual high-school students? experiences of their education held in their native language. The purpose of this study is to examine bilingual high-school students? experiences of how their school organizes the education that?s held in their native language, and how the students feel that the education in their native language has helped their overall language development and also in terms of learning in general. To complete this study I?ve interviewed six high school students and analyzed their answers using other studies and theories on this subject.
Verktyg till lärarna. Skolutveckling genom metoden Learning study
Syfte: Har varit att försöka komma åt/ ta reda på, vad i ett skolutvecklingsprojekt som är viktigt för att det skall ge lärarna användbara verktyg att använda i sin undervisning.Teori: Den teori som använts vid analysen har varit systemteori. Det perspektiv av systemteori som fokuseras är kommunikation och relationen, främst mellan läraren - handledaren, men även relationen lärare ? lärare samt, läraren ? eleven berörs. Systemteori bygger på att tänkandet är cirkulärt istället för linjärt och att detaljen sätts i relation till helhet och tillbaks till detaljen igen, enligt Öqvist (2003). I handledning, som är en viktig komponent i metoden Learning study, framhåller Gjems (2007) att språket är centralt, då det är med språket som verktyg vi förmedlar vår syn på omvärlden och hur vi tolkar vår värld.

Individuals of today are living in a community that encourages an inactive life. For many individuals exercise is an important part in their life and can be a health factor and contribute to the joy of living. Some environments in the individuals? everyday life are of supportive character. These supportive environments can make it easier for the individual to make healthier choices.
"Säg aldrig till ditt barn att matematik är svårt" : Sex pedagogers tankar och resonemang kring sitt arbetssätt i matematikundervisning för elever i år F-6
There has been a lot of debate in media about mathematics teaching in grade school in Sweden. Many students experience that mathematics in grade school is abstract, which leads to decreased interest of mathematics in early years. An international study indicates that Swedish students in class 4 do not fulfill the mean for mathematics according to EU/OECD countries. The study also shows that Sweden practice a textbook driven education, compared to other countries. The aim for this study was to find out how a few pedagogues for class F-6 teach mathematics, and why they have chosen to educate the way they do.
Syn på och handledning kring inkludering, neuropsykiatriska funktionsnedsättningar och matematik: : En kvalitativ intervjustudie om vilka framgångsrika handledningsmetoder specialpedagoger kan använda för att stödja matematiklärare som arbetar med elever
The basic principle of the integrated school according to the Salamanca Declaration is that all children, whenever possible, should be taught together, regardless of any difficulties or diversity. It has been shown that students with neuropsychiatric disorders are having much more difficulties to achieve the targets than the average student. Pupils with neuropsychiatric syndrome will always be present in school and we who are working in the business must be better at learning to adapt to them so that they too can achieve proficiency in school.Mathematics is perhaps the topic that Swedish students generally have most problems with,and it will not obviously be easier if you have some form of neuropsychiatric disability.In our future role as special education teachers, we will mentor and support other teachers in the complex educational environment that exists today. The aim that has been built up is thus partly to explore how mathematics teachers work with included students with neuropsychiatric disorders, as well as how teachers wishing to become supervised by specialeducation teachers in mathematics. The study is conducted from a sociocultural perspective.A sociocultural perspective on learning means that all people are learning all the time in social settings.
