This study focuses on comparing the traditional technologies of mouse and keyboard with the new technology of gestures - in this case LEAP Motion - in purpose of finding how the usage differs and what the potential users want from the competing technology. The experiment was executed in a controlled environment, with as few external factors as possible. We found that although the test subjects found LEAP Motion fun, the test subjects do not want to surf the web with gestures.

In this paper the rate of convergence, speed of execution and symplectic properties of the time-integrators LEAP-Frog (LF2), fourth order Runge-Kutta(RK4) and Crank-Nicholson (CN2) have been studied. This was done by solving the one-dimensional model for a particle in a box (Dirichlet-conditions). The results show that RK4 is the fastest in achieving higher tolerances, while CN2 is the fastest in achieving lower tolerances. Fourth order corrections of LF (LF4)and CN (CN4) were also studied, though these showed no improvements overLF2 and CN2. All methods were shown to exhibit symplectic behavior..

Sveriges riksdag är övertygad om att utsläppen av växthusgaser måste minska för att människans påverkan på klimatsystemet inte blir farlig (Naturvårdsverket, 2011). I Uppsala har kommunfullmäktige beslutat om att de totala utsläppen av växthusgaser per innevånare ska vara 45 % lägre år 2020 jämfört med år 1990 (Uppsala kommun, 2011e). För att bland annat kunna utvärdera och utveckla energisystemanalyser har Uppsala kommun, SLU och Vattenfall ett samarbete kring modellering av Uppsalas energisystem och klimatpåverkan. I detta arbete har programvaran LEAP (the Long range Energy Alternatives Planning system) använts för att utveckla en sådan modell. Modellen innehåller ett nuläge (som speglar Uppsalas energisystem så som det såg ut år 2008-2009), ett referensscenario för möjlig utveckling fram till år 2030, och ett aktörsscenario där specifika åtgärder/mål (från Uppsala kommun och Vattenfall) för att få ned utsläppen av växthusgaser modellerats. Resultaten från modellkörningen visar att kommunens mål om 45 % mindre per capita utsläpp av CO2e år 2020 inte uppnås i vare sig referens- eller aktörsscenariot..

This survey is a theoretical analysis concerning didactics of literature, in which I problematize what Martha C. Nussbaum describes as ?narrative imagination?. The purpose of this thesis was to examine how locally produced bioenergy may contribute to meet the climate target year 2050 in the municipality of Uppsala. The goal of reduced GHG-emissions from current 6,8 ton CO2-equivalents to 0,5 ton CO2-equivalents per capita and year, year 2050 is based on avoiding harmful penalties of an increased level of GHG in the atmosphere. By estimating available biomass in the county together with examining future technologies and emission factors for the substrates used, four possible future scenarios has been developed focusing either on electricity generation or production of biofuels. GHG-emissions of year 2050 have been calculated using the software LEAP. The conclusion is that bioenergy, depending on how it is integrated in the energy system, may reduce greenhouse gas emissions between 0.6 ton CO2-equivalents and 1.4 ton CO2-equivalents per capita or 12% to 25% compared to 5.5 ton CO2-equivalents in the reference scenario 2050. The greatest reduction is obtained if biofuels are produced in combination with energy efficient heat requirements in buildings..

At the Congress of the Swedish Trade Union Confederation (LO) in 1991 a decision was made to reform LOs politics of gender. In the new resolution class and gender were established as equal causes of oppression. This was a giant LEAP from LOs traditional politics, where the dimension of class had always been considered more important than gender. The present thesis discusses how gender was constructed in LOs discourse after 1990 by analysing their official publications about gender politics called Klass och kön. The key terms in the analysis are continuity and change.

The Court of Justice of the European Union has progressively revised the rule of purely internal situations to ensure a wider scope of application of the economic freedoms as well as the EU citizenship right to move and reside freely within the Union. This development, combined with the increasing importance of fundamental rights, has strengthened the family life protection of those EU citizens who come within the scope of EU law. The limit between the individuals who may benefit from a EU right to family reunification and fundamental rights protection and those who find themselves in purely internal situations has, however, become more legally uncertain. The disadvantage suffered by those who fall outside the scope of EU law is known as reverse discrimination.The 2011 case Zambrano confirmed the trend towards an increasingly generous EU law protection of family life in cases where the exercise of freedom of movement and enjoyment of EU citizenship rights is potentially restricted by a Member State measure. By contrast, in the subsequent McCarthy- case, it became clear that families in purely internal situations may only rely on national immigration and procedural law to obtain family reunification and protection of their fundamental rights.

Syftet med detta examensarbete är att kartlägga potentialen för energieffektiviseringar i småhus och flerbostadshus i Uppsala kommun fram till 2050. Studien inkluderar både befintliga och framtida byggnader. Uppsala kommun arbetar tillsammans med flera olika organisationer i kommunen med att ta fram en ?Färdplan för ett klimatpositivt Uppsala år 2050? (kallad Färdplan 2050), detta med uppdrag av Naturvårdsverket. Målet med Färdplan 2050 är att ta fram en långsiktsprognos för hur Uppsala kommun kan minska utsläppen av växthusgaser med 45 % per invånare till år 2020 jämfört med år 1990.
