Till stor del syns kvinnor endast som rekvisita för att framhäva män i musikvideorna. Resultatet visade även på starka kvinnor. Dels kvinnor som är starka med maskulina tankemönster, dels kvinnor som visades starka med feminina egenskaper och slutligen kvinnor som visades starka i sin yrkesroll som musiker.

AbstractWork to develop the Eurocodes started in 1975 by the European Commission adopted a program to eliminate trade barriers within the construction area. The goal was to create common European design standards that would replace the member countries' own rules. Eurocodes will replace The National Board of Housing Building and Planning, National Rail, The National Road Administration and other agencies' calculation rules for the buildings structures. The transition to the use of Eurocodes looks like this:Eurocodes set to Swedish standards  between 2002 ? 2007They can be used parallel with national standards 2006 - 2009 The total transition is at the end of 2010/2011.Right now is going on a lot of work for replacement of the existing standards to Eurocodes.  The transition to the new calculations` standards, many construction companies and consulting firms facing a big changes and competitions.

This thesis is basically a design project aimed to find a safe and reliable automatic safety device, which is designed to be suitable for highly automated industrial situations. This device fits with ABB / Jokab Safety?s fence systems. These are built up around machines to create safety distances. The automatic protection device assist the operator in situations when loading or going in and out of the danger zone.

 Agila metoder är en relativt ny ansats inom programvaruutvecklingsområdet och ses som en reaktion mot plandrivna metoder som har svårt att hantera oförutsägbara och skiftande krav. Agila metoder förespråkar nära och frekvent kundkommunikation och iterativt arbete för att ständigt kunna skapa, prioritera och verifiera krav. Dock uppmärksammar inte agila metoder aspekter som berör programvarans användbarhet. Syftet med rapporten är därför att integrera användarcentrerad design för att öka fokus mot programvarans användbarhet hos agila metoder. Användarcentrerad design är en process som fokuserar på användbarhet genom att användarna är en central aspekt i utvecklingsprocessen.

This report describes the process of outlining a design proposal for a resource planning tool for TV post-production. A feasibility study in form of a participant observation has been carried out on-site, which has resulted in a requirement specification. Based on the requirement specification, mockups have been created to illustrate the functions and features that a final planning tool should have. In addition to developing a design proposal, an evaluation of the existing resource planning tool Ganttic has been conducted. Ganttic has been reviewed based on how well it meets the list of requirements.

A woman is dying of cancer, she refuses to use her walking aid. Because she is embarrassed. This means she can?t leave her house, and her last days become very limited.Why do we act like this?Can the view we have of products adapted for disabled be changed by working with colour, texture, form and materials?There are many products adapted for disabled, the products often have a good function and well developed ergonomic aspects but the visual aspect leaves a lot to wish for. There is neither effort nor money put in to the exterior design of most of these products.A lot of the solutions that are invented for adapted products can be used in design of ?regular? products.Why should we then divide products in to adapted and non-adapted.

Feministiskt initiativ är ett nytt parti som liksom mycket annat har skildrats av media. Syftet med den här kvalitativa studien är att studera vad media har berättat om Fi, utifrån en kritisk diskursanalys och socialkonstruktionistisk grund vill vi studera vilka diskurser som media, i vårt fall tidningsartiklar från de stora rikstidningarna, förmedlar om partiet Feministiskt initiativ. De tidningar som vi hämtat artiklar ifrån har varit Aftonbladet, Svenska Dagbladet, Dagens Nyheter, Metro och Expressen och utgjort grund för empirin. Igenom vår analys hittar vi olika mönster och teman, däribland tre framstående diskurser: kampdiskursen, ledardiskursen samt jämställdhetsdiskursen. Dessa går in och fogas på olika sätt för Fis framträdande i medias texter.

Syfte: Svenska Elles personporträtt har studerats med syfte att belysa hur ett Vi och Dem förhållande konstrueras, men även för att klargöra vilka som utgör Vi och Dem i kontexten. Detta för att ta reda på vilka sociala konstruktioner som Elle medverkar till.Metod: Studien är en kritisk diskursanalys vilken är inspirerad av Norman Fairclough Critical discourse analysis. Texterna har vidare behandlats utifrån en symtomal innehållsanalys, med hjälp utav verktyg hämtade ur semiotiken.Resultat: Studiens resultat visar på att ett specifikt narrativ appliceras på samtliga av Elles personporträtt. Detta sker likt en schablon som skapar en fiktiv karaktär av intervjuobjektet vilket därmed konstrueras till ett Vi. Genom flertalet faktorer exkluderas läsaren i relation till vi:et och blir därmed ett uttalat Dem..

Large retirement numbers and fierce competition of available labour, results in municipalities have to be more attractive as an employer. One way for the municipalities to fulfil their staffing requirement is partly to increase their recruitment efforts, and partly to educate their existing employees. Discussions about the supply of competence are therefore pressing within municipal activity. The aim of the study was to investigate how the concept of competence is used within a municipal administration. The method that has been used is Norman Fairclough?s critical discourse analysis, a method that allows multi dimensional analysis.

Den här studien är en kritisk granskning av programserien Sexinspektörerna som sändes i sex avsnitt på TV4 våren 2007. I Sexinspektörerna får heterosexuella par hjälp med sitt sex- och samliv av två experter på området. Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka hur programmet skapar och återskapar heteronormativitet och på så sätt hur femininitet(er) och maskulinitet(er) uttrycks inom den heterosexuella parrelationen. Uppsatsen utgår ifrån ett queerteoretiskt perspektiv och den heterosexuella matrisen utifrån Judith Butler. Genom att välja kritisk diskursanalys som metod har vi kunnat analysera så väl det som sägs i programmet som de bilder som visas och på så sätt tillföra ytterliggare en dimension till analysen.

The web sites of Swedish public libraries display a high level of heterogeneity when it comes to design and graphical user interface. The thesis is based on the opinion that the visuals of a public library web site have implications for the user as well as for the library. The design of the graphical user interface influences the attention of the user and his/her ability to absorb information. Furthermore, there is a connection between the visuals and the users opinion about the credibility of the content of the web site, as well as of the organisation itself. The research question is: Which factors may have an impact on the design of the graphical user interfaces of a public library web site? The purpose is to create an understanding for these factors and emphasize them.

In this thesis we present the procedures and outcomes of adopting two roles in a study: the role of a researcher and the role of a designer. The subject is crossmedia design. Crossmedia is a growing and changing trend for media producers of today its design is of great importance. The purpose is to create a concept from scratch that stands out from the crowd and engage people with the use of cross media as the approach. We also aim to investigate if a cross media designer can rely on previous research made within this subject or if the scene has changed.In order to test and to fully understand the process of the subject, we designed a crossmedia concept, based upon previous and related research.

There is a lack of published material regarding designing graphical user interfaces of so called integrated video uploading services. The term integrated video uploading services refers to homepages that do not have video uploading as its primary purpose but which still offers that service to its visitors. The aim of this thesis was to improve the amount of published material about designing graphical user interfaces for integrated video uploading services. This was done by performing a literature study to find general design guidelines which can be applied to design of integrated video uploading services. Thereafter the functionality and design of dedicated video uploading services was analyzed.

The last few decades the development in the field of electronics has been huge. The components performance gets better at the same time as the manufacturing cost decreases. Many of the design moments that have to be done, are done automatically today, but it can get better. Especially for analog circuit design.At Electronic System in Linköpings universitet, research is in progress to develop a tool that can design analog circuits in reasonable time. It means that it has to size the components (transistors, resistances, capacitances etc), so that the circuit can fulfill the performance requirements.
