Telia Telesvar is an automatic anwering machine that is provided in your stationary telephone at home. The drawback of this is that you cannot see if anyone has called you. This report describes how a terminal for Telias Telesvar could be designed. Telesvar terminal will show in a display if anyone called you and show the incoming number. It will also play the spoken message in a built in speaker.

Målet med examensarbetet var att skapa ett verktyg för insamling av erfarenhetsdata för produktutvecklingsprocessen. Den skall vara användbar för att bidra till ett systematiskt arbetssätt för produktionsanpassad konstruktion på Volvo Aero Corporation. Det skapade verktyget för insamlande av erfarenhetsdata skall bidra till att produktivitet och producerbarhet kan förbättras på kommande koncept och konstruktioner. En förstudie har genomförts på företaget under hösten 2010 vilket ligger till grund för det beskrivna problemet i examensarbetet.Arbetet avgränsades till att utveckla en struktur för hur metod och erfarenhet skall struktureras och en testversion av verktyget togs fram för utvärdering. Efter samråd med den handledande Verksamhetsutvecklingsgruppen, VU-gruppen, från avdelning 9931 Projekt-, Koncept- och Tillverkningsledning, beslutades att examensarbetet skulle avgränsas ytterligare till insamling av diametermått på komponenten Diffuser Case på Volvo Aero.

Examensarbetet har genomförts i samarbete med Meritor HVS AB i Lindesberg som tillverkar fram- och bakhjulsaxlar till buss- och lastbilsindustrin. Projektet behandlar de fixturer som används vid transport av bakhjulsaxlar. Målet med arbetet var att utveckla en ny transportfixtur som passar majoriteten av deras bakaxelmodeller och som förebygger skador vid transport.Projektet har genomförts enligt metodiken systematisk konstruktion som beskrivs enligt Johannesson, Persson och Petterssons (2004). Systematisk konstruktion kan delas in i fem steg: produktspecificering, konceptgenerering, utvärdering och val av koncept, detaljkonstruktion samt slutkonstruktion.De problem som Meritor har med transportfixturerna är att de i hög grad slits och att skyddsbeläggningarna inte håller. Det finns för projektet 30 aktuella bakaxelmodeller som skall kunna transporteras med samma fixtur.

This report describes the process of developing a user-friendly and responsive archive website. The website is a Hi-fi prototype and was created for the company JG Communications, to serve as an archive for their customers? style guidelines. To create this website I have used HTML5 and CSS3 to make it responsive for various computer screens. I have also used PHP and some JavaScript to make some of the functions and Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to make design elements for the prototype.

This thesis work is a 30hp D-level assignment in design as a co-operation between MälardalenUniversity and Scania CV AB in Södertälje. The purpose was to develope a close fitted catwalk.The market has seen an increasing value for these types of applications and have the ambition to keep up with the rest of the competitors. The catwalks of todays standards shall be estetical attractive, have a non slippery surface and be costefficient.While working with this project I have spent a lot of time with the concept proposals and with the evaluation of the concepts, resulting in a final CAD model and a approximation of the cost estimate. The new catwalk fulfils all the new recommendations and rules as sharp edges, ADR, the height of the stepup and a non slippery surface with built in drainage..

Syfte ? Att skapa en ny produkt inom kategorin mingelbord, som erbjuder fler användningsområden för att bli mer anpassad för privatpersoner och i hemmamiljö. Att genom en innovativ konstruktion och en kombination av moduliserade- och hantverksdelar skapa en unik produkt på marknaden.Metod ? Grundmetoden för det här arbetet är den första fasen i en produkts liv: produktutvecklingsprocessen; identifiera behovet, planera designprocessen, ta fram kundkraven, utveckla konceptet och till sist utveckla produkten.Resultat ? Saab Dynamics is a companyoperating in the defence industry where competition is tough. This necessitatesnew ways to increase efficiency in the company, which is the basis for this thesis.Saab Dynamics wants to introduce simulation driven design. Since SaabDynamics engineers have little experience of simulation, required a usermethodology with clear guidelines. Due to lack of time, they chose to assign thetask to students, which resulted in this thesis.The aim of the thesis is to develop a methodology in mechanical design, wherethe designer uses the FE analysis early in the design process to develop thestructures' mechanical properties.

The background to the project is my search for commitment when I work with a specific customer or project and how importantthat commitment are?The project was from the beginning split up to three different phases. There are unseen possibilities and a great potential for improvement and development in sound and music design ? but there is a great difficulty penetrating the obstacles that lies in the way for such development to take place and to exist. The difficulties in being negotiable and productive lies more within the limits of the audience it has to gain, than in itself. It is as though music and sound design has to evolve very slowly, in an almost evolutionary style; one step at a time, to be accepted.

This study concerns design thinking and how to achieve usability when designing applicationsfor smart watches. The study's focus is on interaction and design for online auctionapplications such as Ebay and Tradera. After studying usability and design for devices withsmall screens, guidelines and design principles for interactive systems, we developed apaperprototype for an auction application. The prototype was used for testing our intervieweeswhile observing and asking questions. After collecting the data we analyzed the responses andfeedback on our prototype and combined the results to previous studies.

The IT industry is constantly evolving and it's more or less a requirement today for web developers to be familiar with and to be able to develop for all platforms. A technique that has taken hold and is now widely used is responsive design. Developing responsive design means adapting the layout to the viewing environment; the screen size. Another useful method when developing for different devices is the mobile first theory, which means developing for the mobile screen first. This is done to scale down the site and to clear unnecessary information in order to provide a better user experience.
