I detta projekt har vi fördjupat oss i en glidlagerkonstruktion som befinner sig i en skruvpress. Skruvpressen kompakterar en okänd massa som är sekretessbelagd. Robustus har ett förslag på överdimensionering av det nuvarande glidlagret. Målet med projektet var att analysera och optimera några glidlager i förhållande till det befintliga glidlagret samt att ta hänsyn till materialval och den miljö som lagret kommer att befinner sig i. Det som analyserna och optimeringen visade var att det befintliga glidlagret hade den bästa geometrin bland alla lösningar men inte det optimala materialet.

The vision of this thesis was to create a concept that can be used as a base for amachine construction. The purpose of this project was to use different methods todevelop a concept that on the best way meets the sat up requirements. This projecthas been divided into three stages/parts; principle, primary and the final solutionstage.This thesis has been conducted in collaboration with Västkustägg AB. It is aconstruction project designed to construct a machine that will automatically putlabels on the egg packages. Västkust AB wanted to automate this process.

I denna rapport presenteras ett examensarbete som syftar till att ta fram idéer för en användarvänlig produkt, anpassad till dusch- och badrumsmiljöer som gör att äldre och funktionsnedsatta kan klara sig mer självständigt i hemmet. Arbetet har utförts tillsammans med uppdragsgivaren Jörgen Carlsson, produktchef på företaget Macro International AB (Macro) som tillverkar, utvecklar och säljer badrumslösningar med duschar och möbler. Examensarbetet har genomförts på Högskolan i Halmstad under våren 2014 och omfattar 15 högskolepoäng.Målet med projektet var att utifrån ett valt koncept utveckla en prototyp som passar till Macros nuvarande duschsortiment samt ta fram konstruktionsritningar för eventuell tillverkning av produkten. Produkten skulle vara lätt att montera för privatpersoner samt utstråla den känsla, enkelhet, personlighet och spänning som företaget strävar efter i alla sina produkter.Arbetet inleddes med en omfattande marknadsundersökning där tolkningen och resultatet av undersökningen tillsammans med uppdragsgivarens åsikter ledde till ett antal idéer att gå vidare med och utveckla. Två designmetodiker har kombinerats med en konstruktionsmetodik vilket har lett till ett slutligt resultat av ett duschredskap som kan användas som stöd i Macros duschar ?Skagen? och ?Fjord?.

Uppgiften som detta examensarbete går ut på är att utveckla en ny steghållare som ska ingå i Thules produktserie Professional. Det är önskvärt att kunna lasta stegen bakifrån och möjliggöra lastning från marken även på högre skåpbilar. Steghållaren ska framförallt vara anpassad till yrkesmän, såsom hantverkare, målare, etc. Därför söker Thule en robust, säker och lättmanövrerad steghållare med attraktivt utseende. Steghållaren ska minska den tid det tar att lasta på och av stegen.

The background to this study is the government’s investment in design and the increase of design education around the country. As a future design teacher (industrialdesign) at high school/college, it is of great interest for me to look closer at student’s attitude towards design and design educations at high school.Questions that have been investigated are student´s attitude towards design; design as a concept but also as a phenomenon. How does the student counselor inform the students of the differentchoices before choosing high school?Does the students view on design correspond to what the student counselor say?What opinion does the student counselor have to the concept design as well as design in highschool? Is design just a craze or here to stay?To get answers I have made interviews with student counselors at two different schools, I have also been in contact with a student counselor on the internet. Their thoughts will clarify thesituation that the students might be in.

Today a lot of goods is transported on wood pallets because it?s practical and enabels a fast way to load cargo. The drawbacks with pallets are that they weight a lot, are big and are relatively expensive. Therefore IKEA has developed plastic lists that can replace the europallet in some applications. In this examwork an automatic handling equipment for plastic lists are design from a requirement specification to a finished machine.

The aim of this report is to see whether the graphic design of a game influences children?s will to play games. I am especially looking at minimalist graphic design and how well it works for a game aimed at children age 7-9. Does the style of the game design have any impact at all concerning the children?s wish to play the game or is the game mechanic all that matters.

Service Design is a relatively new, unexplored and exciting phenomenon that through an interdisciplinary work methodology designs services. A discussion has been going on for a long time regarding whether there is a difference between products and services. Services are often classified as immaterial, heterogeneous, non-storable and inseparable in relation to products. A question that arises is if something specific characterises the work methodology used regarding service design. The aim with this paper is thus to explain the work methodology when working with service design.

Examensarbetet har utförts i samarbete med Produktutvecklarna AB i Växjö.Arbetet har varit att konstruera en båtlyft för fritidsbåtar, med en vikt på maximalt 1000 kg.Lyften skall kunna lyfta båten ifrån en båttrailer, och den skall kunna användas som vinterförvaring,Den skall också kunna lutas 30 grader för att underlätta tvättning och underredsbehandlig.Arbetet innefattar konstruktion, hållfasthetsberäkningar, materialval, simuleringar samt dimensioneringar av lager och hydraulkolvar..

This thesis of 15 hp has been implemented at Halmstad University, in collaboration with Saab Dynamics in Linköping. Saab Dynamics is a company operating in the defence industry where competition is tough. This necessitates new ways to increase efficiency in the company, which is the basis for this thesis. Saab Dynamics wants to introduce simulation driven design. Since Saab Dynamics engineers have little experience of simulation, required a user methodology with clear guidelines.

High demands are set on all equipment used in emergency service work, where small margins can be the distinguishing factor between life and death during a rescue operation. It is important that tools such as ladders quickly and easily can be dismounted from a vehicle and still satisfy the regulatory requirements for securing loads during transport. The existing solution for getting ladders down from the roof of a fire engine requires a large manual effort from the user in an ergonomically unsound posture.In this degree project a new ladder holder is developed with focus on the user to solve the ergonomic problems and at the same time create a more compact design that can be adapted to several different types of ladders. After an initial pre-study with user-interviews and measurement of forces and distances a set of requirements was formulated that came to govern the project's direction. Creative methods were used to generate concepts that improved the function and through design solutions, calculations and testing in CAD a base for manufacturing of a new product was created.The result is a completely new type of ladder holder that minimizes the user's manual effort and simplifies the securing of ladders in the holder.

Textile Grid är ett undersökande textildesignprojektsom utforskar olika tekniker och material för atttänja på gränserna i textil. Utgångspunkten ärett enkelt rutmönster som översätts i teknikernatryck, väv och trikå. Rutmönstret fungerar som enkonstruktion i textilen och genom att jobba medkontrasterna mellan hårt och mjukt, samt rörelseoch stabilitet utforskas både textilens utseendeoch rörelse. This report is a bachelor thesis work in the field of product development and design. The assignment has been to develop a solution for roof racks, normally used for cars, to fit on the open trailer models FS1425 and Alugance. The project was implemented by Johan Andersson and Victor Karlsson, students at the Mechanical Engineering program with a focus on product development and design at Jo?nko?ping?s school of Engineering, in spring 2012.The client wants to use transport solutions in the same way as roof racks on cars. The user of such a product is assumed to desire simplicity, safety and an attractive design with an appealing price, which has been a challenge during the thesis work.Pre-studies have been conducted to examine the potential competitors and gain knowledge in the research area.

För att få ett så bra resultat som möjligt, och minska antalet prover och förändringar och därmed även korta ner produktionstiden, är det viktigt att ha en bra grund att utgå ifrån.Arbetet gjordes i samarbete med företaget Franchetti i Göteborg, och uppgiften var att ta fram grunder med en korrekt gradering åt en av deras kunder, efter kundens behov och önskemål. Utöver detta fick jag dessutom själva designa och ta fram en eller flera egna modeller, och detta resulterade i två egna modeller.All konstruktion och gradering har gjorts i Lectras programvara Modaris. Utöver det har även Lectras programvara Kaledo använts, samt Adobe Illustrator och Excel.I mitt arbete har jag använt mig av kunskaper inom konstruktion och gradering som jag fått under min utbildning och för att få fram önskat resultat har jag testat mig fram genom att göra mönster och sy upp prover.Denna rapport behandlar tillvägagångssätt vid framtagandet av grunderna och dess gradering, samt produktutvecklingen av de två modellerna, problem som uppstått under arbetets gång och det slutgiltiga resultatet..
