Rapporten behandlar arbetet med att göra arbetsmiljön vid en aluminiumpress säkrare. Idag sågas mindre bitar nypressad aluminiumprofil på ett sådant sätt att operatören bland annat exponeras för mycket heta spånor.Genom systematisk konstruktionsmetodik genererades ett antal koncept, dessa utvärderades och en detaljkonstruktion av två koncept genomfördes. Det ena av dessa två innebär att stänga av kylluften underifrån under sågningen medan det andra innebär en mekaniserad lösning med en låda på en vagn, vilken gör en operatörs närvaro onödig.Arbetet bedrevs på Sapa Profiler AB i Finspång och gav insikter i hur konstruktionsarbete på ett tillverkande företag kan gå till. Arbetet var mycket fritt och stort rum har lämnats för kreativa och nyskapande lösningar..

Den här undersökningen handlar om managementkonsulter och deras yrkesroll. Undersökningen bygger på empiri insamlad på ett managementkonsultföretag i Sverige. Empirin består av samtalsbaserade intervjuer med managementkonsulter samt en intervju med en representant för en av de organisationer som anlitat konsultföretaget. Syftet med undersökningen är att undersöka under vilka förutsättningar konsulterna utför sitt arbete tillsammans med de grupper de utbildar. För att besvara denna fråga har jag tagit hjälp av teorier rörande, Koncept & översättning, rollteori och interaktionsritualer.

Detta examensarbete utfördes på BAE Systems Hägglunds AB, som utvecklar och tillverkar stridsfordon. Målsättningen med projektet var att minska värmeavgivningen i höger bandhylla på produktserien CV90. Det förutsatte lösningar för både isolering och öka luftgenomströmningen i bandhyllan. Resultatet består av konceptlösningar för de givna problemen utan fokus på detaljutveckling.Inledningsvis skedde en förstudie som innebar insamling av data och information. Sedan definierades kravspecifikation och målsättning, utifrån detta gjordes en analys för att identifiera problemen med den nuvarande utformningen.

In system development it is today increasingly common to use a model-based system development method. These methods that are suited for Agile work with simple and quick updates and implementations of new applications in systems conform to the requirements that are becoming more important today, namely more flexible and less expensive system that still maintain high quality and safety.A company that has been working with this type of system development method for a long time is Genicore AB, which also has developed their own tools and model language in order to better model the information management systems in complex and abstract operations. Genicore AB is trying to spread their method other developers and have therefore taken the initiative to start this study. The method is evaluated and tested by two students with relatively little experience in model-based systems engineering in order to gain a new perspective on how the method functions. The method has been applied to an educational activity in order to test it in a new domain, and this led us to our research question;?What criteria are of particular relevance in the implementation of a MBSD method on on complex businesses??Through literature reviews and interviews, we formed an idea of how model-based system development works from a theoretical perspective, and then continued to the case study conducted on the educational activities at the faculty of IT at University of Gothenburg.

AbstractPurpose:The purpose of the study is to describe the internationalization process of one firm when in a country culturally diverse from the firm?s original market.Methodology/approach:The study is a single case study which examines one firm?s internationalization process when entering the Chinese market. The approach has been an empiric interaction between empirical and theoretical data.Findings:The theory of the Uppsala model was applied to the case-company to test the model?s completeness. The authors found weaknesses and added three more aspects to the model.

Kiruna genomgår en stadsomvandling eftersom grunden som dagens stadskärna vilar på kommer att bli mer instabil i takt med att LKABs malmbrytning kommer närmare staden. I det här arbetet visas tre koncept vilka skulle kunna inspirera till nya platser i den kommande stadskärnan. Koncepten är skapade efter inspiration som är kopplat till stadens kulturarv. Att använda sig av kulturarvet som inspiration i skapandet av nya platser är en av frågorna som diskuteras i arbetet. Jag kan konstatera att det har en behållning genom att det leder till att platsspecifi k design.

Varje år skadas eller dödas hundar av rovdjur i samband med framförallt jakt. Olyckorna leder till debatter angående rovdjurens vara eller inte vara. Detta arbete utreder möjligheterna till skydd för dessa hundar. Skyddsmetoden som utreds är en väst som utlöser en elektrisk puls vid ett angrepp. Tanken är att oavsett var på västen ett angrepp sker så ska en spänningsstöt utlösas vilket ska få angriparen att släppa taget.

Due to increasing regulations regarding new diesel vehicles particulate matteremissions the new Scania truck, Scania Euro 6, has been equipped with a particulatefilter. This component effectively stores the particles in the exhaust gas but must becleaned in order to prevent itself from clogging. The filter is cleaned through aprocess named regeneration which is a thermodynamic process in which thetemperature of the filter is raised through fuel supplied to the exhaust gas.The purpose of this thesis is to contribute to the development of improved controlstrategies of the temperature during the regeneration process through thedevelopment of model-based controllers. These controllers are designed in order tohave good performance in stationary as well as automatic regeneration.In order to develop these model-based controllers a model of the system isconstructed. The model is described as a linear thermodynamic grey-box model withflow varying parameters, showing good results in validation.The model provides a simulation environment during the controller design, which isfocused around the development of linear regulators with the exhaust gas mass flowas a scheduling variable whose size determines controllers? mode of operation.

AbstractIn urban societies people spend more and more time indoors, which put great demands on the indoor environment. If the ventilation is to manage the removal of unwanted substances in the indoor air, a good mixing of the air is required. The question arises that, whether the buoyancy forces will counteract a good mixing of the indoor air or not?This report aims to clear up the difficulties whether you need to consider the buoyancy forces or not, when adjusting a ventilation unit. For studying the indoor mixing of the air a two dimensional model is constructed in COMSOL Multiphysics.

The power system modelled in this thesis work has been developed for simulationwhen e.g. the production in some part of the power system is changed. The powersystem has been modelled according to the swing mass of the system, the frequencydependency of the load and the turbine governor. The model determines the systemfrequency, the period of regulation and the power exchange between the differentsubsystems in the Nordic synchronized system.In this model the system frequency is assumed to be the same in all different parts ofthe power system and the voltage conditions in the power system are neglected. Forthat reason power swings does not occur between different subsystems in the powersystem, which usually occur as a result of the swinging connection between thetransmissions line.

A well, situated on Listerlandet in the western part of Blekinge in Sweden, has a very high content of nitrate. Water with a too high content of nitrate is hazardous to human health, in particular to small children. The area surrounding the well is mostly drained agricultural land with some larger farms for chicken and mink. The well takes its water from the bedrock and is deeper than most other wells affected by nitrate. The bedrock in the area is dominated by limestone with a relatively high flow of water.This thesis was performed in order to find the source of the nitrate.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate how the literary site Vulkan.se affects the conditions for publishing, distribution, incorporation in value systems and feedback in the literary process, as it appears in Lars Furuland?s model of this process. The purpose is also to propose an updated version of the model. This is achieved through a qualitative testing of Furuland?s theory.

I have with this thesis sought to understand how chick lit could be useful in the classroom in the teaching of Swedish B-course in high school. Based on the model of critical literacy I am arguing that this genre would help to meet the objectives of the policy documents which, among other things, are to critically examine and analyze various types of texts.I have found that some of these texts could be used for analyzing and critically examine the ideological dimensions of texts and cultural heritage by the model of critical literacy, and also as a counterweight to the more traditional teaching of the canonical literature as a literary historical stuff that students should learn. I have also wanted to create a basis for discussions about literature in the classroom based on the chick lit genre. To do this I have, based on three themes and questions from the model of critical literacy, tried to focus on issues that might emerge from the ideological analysis and critical review. The model aims to deconstruct norms of society, and in the work of chick lit, I wanted to show how you could deconstruct norms around gender..

Examensarbetet utfördes i samarbete med Randek Bautech och hade som syfte att utveckla ett koncept, vilket skulle möjliggöra en sammanslagning av två stationer i deras produktionslinje som för övrigt är deras huvudprodukt. Dessa linjer används främst för tillverkningen av vägg- och takelement. Konceptet skulle även innebära en minskning av cykeltiden för spikstationen.För att få en inblick i hur tillverkningsgången fungerade i nuläget har observationer och intervjuer utförts. Nulägesanalysen har sedan kompletterat de krav och önskemål som företaget hade till att bilda en kravspecifikation. Vidare har författarna använt sig av benchmarking för att få insikt i den senaste tekniken och utvecklingen inom olika branscher, det tillsammans med brainstorming har genererat ett antal möjliga koncept som utvärderats av författarna och handledaren på företaget.

The cost of capital for traded companies is basically assessed on information from thefinancial market. Small and non-traded companies are lack of this necessary financialmarket information in order to determine an appropriate equity risk premium and tocompute the cost of capital.In the absence of financial information necessary for an external investor, it is difficult toevaluate a non-traded company with the Capital Asset Pricing model (CAPM), which isbased on the financial market information. It measures only the systematic risk, which isthe contribution of one share to the market risk of a portfolio. It is therefore important tofind models that reflect the small and non-traded companies? real business value and theirunique characteristics.
