Det svenska välfärdssystemet har på senare tid fått kritik för att inte vara anpassat till det allt mer komplexa samhället. Den statliga styrningen anses inte längre kunna erbjuda de tjänster som samhället behöver, varav olika förändringar skett. Samverkan, horisontellt mellan organisationer och myndigheter som berörs av varandra har setts som en lösning, bland annat inom säkerhetspolitiken för att öka säkerheten i samhället. Samverkan mellan kommuner i det förberedande arbetet med kriser är ett sätt som framhålls leda till en effektivare hantering av kriser. Men vad ger denna samverkan för upplevd effekt? Uppsatsens syfte är att bidra med ökad kunskap om hur aktörer uppfattar att samverkan fungerar gällande krisberedskap i förebyggande syfte, och om de anser att samverkan leder till en effektivare hantering av kriser, i praktiken.

The aim of this thesis is to study perceptions around the freedom of movement of workers within the EU before and after its enlargement in 2004, both on a Swedish and a European level. I have chosen to conduct my study using a discourse analysis as a structure for my theory and method. Theories based on previous research have also been used. My material consists of Communications from the European Commission, Swedish Command Papers as well as a research report. One of the main findings is that at a Swedish level, there is concern about how the free movement of workers will affect the labour market and welfare system.

Rental rates and land prices have gone through substantial changes the last two decades. The prices have both gone up and down since 1990 but from 1995 to 2008 land prices increased with 272 percent and rental rates with 61 percent. What factors that have the largest impact on rental rates and land prices are hard to determine but factors that may affect the price are the desire to live in the countryside and the expected profitability in agriculture. Prices of products and inputs are factors that affect the profitability in agriculture, but the profitability is also affected by agricultural policies. The economic for Swedish agriculture have changed several times over the last 20 years as a result of changing agricultural policies.The agricultural policies largely affect farmers behavior and decisions.

Malmö: Lärarutbildningen: Malmö högskola Examensarbetet är en jämförande studie om hur man som pedagog resonerar kring barns kunskaper och lärande inom matematik i åldrarna 4-5 år på en Reggio Emilia förskola, en Montessoriförskola och en kommunal förskola i Skåne. Vi undersöker också vilka olika matematiska material de olika förskolorna använder sig av. Syftet med examensarbetet är att synliggöra olika pedagogiska arbetssätt för barns matematiska lärande. Våra frågeställningar som arbetet utgår ifrån är: Hur arbetar pedagoger med matematik på förskolorna? Vad anser pedagoger att matematik är för förskolebarn? Vilka matematiska begrepp använder pedagoger sig av i förskolan? Vad anser pedagoger att barnen behöver ha för kunskaper inom matematik? Metoderna vi använt oss av är en kombination av intervjuer med pedagogerna och observationer av barnen i verksamheten för att kunna inhämta så mycket information som möjligt kring våra frågeställningar.

The aim of this thesis is to discuss and analyse the American cotton subsidies? effect on the world market in general and developing countries in particular. The amount of U.S. subsidies is substantial compared to most other countries, but a great deal of the effect is due to the USA?s significant share of the market.

Public opinion can be shaped as well as transformed in a number of ways. Government authorities occasionally make use of public information campaigns to educate and steer the public. In this thesis the balance between public and private, the individual and the society is analysed in terms of dimensions of individualism and communitarianism. These dissimilar theories on how the society ought to be constructed can be used when analysing many different policy areas, however, they also pinpoint the controversies seen in the public debate regarding Swedish information policy. Based on this analysis an empirical study identifies what kind of knowledge the state wants the citizens to possess and public information campaigns can be problematic.

The aim of this paper is to empirically examine the ideological trends and positioning of the Swedish liberal party with the Danish social liberal party. This paper also aims to analyze the reasons behind the trends. By examine the development in these two Nordic liberal sisterparties, this paper contributes to our understanding of why and how party change is initiated. The paper commences with an intuitive notion that the Swedish party has in fact, made a lurch towards the right, during the past ten to fifteen years while the Danish party has retained their social-liberal position in the centre of the Danish political spectrum. The questions then asked are: can this hypothesis be verified empirically? If so, how can this phenomenon of divergence, be explained?The method used in this thesis is process-tracing and the empirical material does to a large extent rely on interviews with central agents as they are specified in the theory of each party.

Den kommunala verksamheten har genom sin storlek och sitt uppdrag en betydande roll för den svenska ekonomin och välfärden. Verksamheten beskylls dock ofta för att vara ineffektiv och en effektivitetsökning har därför länge varit efterfrågad och föremål för debatt. I grunden är detta en fråga om organisationens styrning och vi fann det därför intressant att undersöka hur styrningen sker. Vårt syfte med studien var att beskriva vilka styrmedel som används, varför de valts samt hur uppföljning sker. Vi ville särskilt belysa frågan om effektivitet beaktas vid valet av styrmedel.

The aim of this thesis is to study different aspects of the public libraries' investment in public access computers connected to the Internet. What level of accessibility can be found at the surveyed libraries concerning the number of computers open to the public, as well as chat and email services? What activities have been taking place with the computers in focus, and what have the goals of these activities been? Is there any control of content, and what aspects of the Internet are, if that is the case, subject to censorship. And how do the governmental policies relate to the surveyed libraries' intentions and activities regarding the Internet? In order to answer these questions, each main library in the 42 largest towns of Sweden was surveyed response rate: 100 %.

Sverige har alltid uttalat ett starkt stöd till Förenta Nationerna, FN. I den allmänna debatten har det på senare tid dock handlat om att Sveriges och i-ländernas allt mindre deltagande i FN-ledda missioner gör att FN:s insatser tappar i trovärdighet och legitimitet. För att se om det finns fog för kritik om minskat deltagande i FN-ledda insatser i Sveriges internationella freds- och säkerhetsfrämjande arbete, så undersöks i denna uppsats om Polisens utlandsstyrkas deltagande i internationella insatser har förändrats över tiden 2001-2011. I uppsatsen undersöks även hur Sveriges uttalade policy om stöd för FN samspelar med vad som sedan implementeras i praktiken genom regeringens uppdrag till den svenska polisen. De som förvaltar och genomför regeringens beslut på området är Polisens Utlandssektion och dess utlandsstyrka.

Enligt jämställdhetslagen skall varje arbetsgivare med fler än tio anställda utforma en jämställdhetsplan och arbeta aktivt för en jämställd arbetsplats. Vi fick i uppdrag av Skara kommun att mäta deras anställdas attityder till den jämställdhetsplan de har upprättat eftersom de har haft svårt att få bra gehör för sin jämställdhetspolitik inom arbetsorganisationen. Syftet med uppsatsen är att genom en kvantitativ studie, i form av enkäter, kunna se om de anställdas attityder påverkar jämställdhetsarbetet samt ett delsyfte att se hur jämställdheten ser ut i organisationen utifrån de anställdas synvinkel. Den teoretiska referensram vi har utgått ifrån i vår analys är: Hirdman, Bernstein, Angelöw och Brante. Där vi tar upp könens sociala konstruktion och hur attityder formas.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka och analysera vad och hur det skrivs om kvinnor och feminism i texter inom socialt arbete. Studiens frågeställningar handlade om vilka områden och sammanhang kvinnor främst beskrivs inom, vad och hur det skrivs om kvinnor samt vilken relation feminism och socialt arbete har i texter. Empirin bestod av 24 nummer av tidskriften ?Socionomen?, från år 2009 till 2012. De texter som valdes ut var brukstexter i form av annonser, notiser och reportage med kvinnor i fokus.
