This thesis deals with the supranational organization of European trade unions. The European trade union movement is, via its umbrella organization the ETUC, an institutionalized social partner within the European Union. The ETUC is a very diverse organization with great potential of conflicting interest among its members. This thesis therefore seeks to explore the dynamics and interest heterogeneity of the ETUC. Drawing on previous research and literature it formulates a number of hypothesises to test what variables that influence the member organizations policy preferences (i.e.

The purpose of this study is to determine if and how municipal consultative entities through influence may affect the legitimacy of the Swedish democratic model. The study aims to do this through analysing the opportunities for influence present with the Youth Council and the Council of the Retired in Karlstads municipality, to determine how the councils may affect political participation and the role of elected representatives. To do so, the study asks the following primary research question:"What requisites for influence are present for participants of municipal consultative entities, as found for the representatives of the youth and the retired within the framework of their participation in the Youth Council and the Council of the Retired in Karlstads municipality?"The study answers this research question by dividing it into one question of policy and one question of democratic perspective, and investigating these matters through nine snowballing interviews with the decision makers, organisational actors and participants of the councils. The information from the interviews is then analysed per council through a framework of democracy theory, policy process theory and organisation theory.

Störningar i drift och tillgänglighet av information kan skada patienter och verksamheten. This is a case study about the effects that disasters have on social work. The case in question is the fire in Berga village, Kalmar, which took place the 12: th of October 2011. The aim of this study is to describe the ways in which Kalmar worked crime preventive towards young people before the fire and after. The study also aims to specify if, and how the disaster affected the crime preventive work with young people. In this study we define the fire like a disaster and disaster has the ability to create changes in policy.

Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva, analysera samt diskutera möjligheter till förbättringar av ekonomistyrningen i kommunal- respektive fristående förskola inriktade mot barn med särskilda behov.Metod:Studien har genomförts med en fallstudie där datainsamlingen skett genom semistrukturerade intervjuer. Som forskningsmetod har vi använt oss av en iterativ process. Teoretiska perspektiv: Det teoretiska perspektiv som används i studien behandlar ekonomiska styrinstrument för fristående och kommunal verksamhet. Främst har teorier kring budget, balanserat styrkort och ansvarsenheter behandlats. Empiri:Den empiri som samlats in från studieobjekten, Uroxen ochHabiliteket, har varit information från ledningen rörande de ekonomiska styrinstrument som används i förskolan.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva och analysera vad som driver den kommunala revisionens effekt utifrån granskarnas och de granskades perspektiv. Uppsatsen är en kvalitativ fallstudie av tre kommuner utifrån en deduktiv ansats. Fallstudien har genomförts via personliga intervjuer med förtroendevalda revisorer, sakkunnigt biträde och nämndordförande från samtliga kommuner. Vår teori grundar sig främst på institutionalia och relevant teori inom området kommunal revision. Utöver detta har vi använder vi oss av agentteorin och förväntansteori, som våra två analysteorier.

This thesis deals with urban planning in connection with social and spatial integration.It´s a study of a new planning project in Malmö in southern Sweden. It´s an interesting case because this new, fashionable area will be located next to areas facing socio-economical challanges and stagnation. By using two theoretical models I analyse how the visions for planning a city are formulated and applied when policy is going to be operated. My models are ?the balanced community? and ?the dual community? .The conclusion is that the focus for Malmö and Hyllie is going towards emphasing the creation of attractive but segregated districs in a city.

In this essay I examine how a municipal- and an independent upper secondary school compare to the ideal types the Company and the Political organization and how that affects the school practise as it?s described in policy documents. The conclusions are that the municipal school on a number of variables correlate to the ideal type the Political organization. At the same time the school reforms of the 1990s are considered as an intention to ?companylize? the municipal school and a number of tendencies how that have affected the municipal school are shown.

Syfte: Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur sjuksköterskor inom kommunal vård upplever att kommunikationen fungerar vid muntlig överrapportering av patienter mellan sjukhusvård och vård i kommunal verksamhet. Bakgrund: Socialstyrelsen har identifierat kommunikation och informationsöverföring som ett riskområde inom hälso- och sjukvård. Överrapportering syftar till att överföra information från en vårdgivare till en annan. Ineffektiv överrapportering är en bidragande faktor till situationer som leder till vårdskador. Sjuksköterskan förväntas ha insikt i hur det egna kommunikationsuttrycket påverkar andra och om andras olika sätt att kommunicera.

In 1998 a new regional development policy was introduced by the Swedish government. A central feature in the policy was the formation of partnerships at the regional level. The partnerships were meant to consist of local and regional stakeholders, representing a great variety of interests, who would collaborate in order to improve regional development. The new policy was promoted, besides being more efficient, as a way to broaden political participation and to break male-dominated structures.This thesis discusses whether the regional partnership actually favours ?women's interests?, in terms of how the relationship of power between women and men is constituted by the model.

Youth unemployement in Sweden is at an all-time high, a fifth of all university and college students live in poverty and the number of young on welfare is increasing. This study attempts to answer the question of how youth deprivation has been made possible as a consequence of political action, focusing on youth unemployment. I critically examine the role of the Swedish government, the Swedish Labour Organisation (LO), and the various government departments through text analysis, in order to answer the question of how the current discourse on youth position in the labor market. Because youth unemployment is not an isolated phenomena the analysis covers several policy areas, such as education policy, labor market regulation and housing policy. I use discourse theories drawn from Laclau and Mouffe to expose how language is used as an instrument of political power. I conclude that the current situation is a result of policy choices where the young have fallen behind due to lack of political organization. Their situation is not problematized to the required degree and is often explained on an individual level rather than on a structural level. .

During the election the year 1991 Moderaterna focused upon questions that concerned the economic growth and the free market. In the election at year 2006 Moderaterna appointed themselves as ?the new labour party? and were called social liberals by several critiques.

The socialdemokrats? long possession of government power from the 1930?s to 1976 gave them the opportunity to put their stamp on Swedish domestic and foreign affairs in the shadow of the cold war. The government policy in security and foreign affairs, therefore, was that of the socialdemokratic party. The stance of the government has been researched, but it lacks focus on the opposition. The purpose of this paper is to analyse Folkpartiet´s view of security and foreign affairs in comparison with government policy.

Syftet med detta projekt är att få en bredare förståelse för hur en policyimplementering går till. För att göra detta möjligt har jag gjort en studie på ett företag genom att intervjua anställda med olika befattningar och undersökt vad som har skrivits i organisationens verksamhetsdokument. Dessutom har jag gjort litteraturstudier för att få tips och vägledning om andra effektiva metoder för policyimplementering.Jag har observerat att det saknas instruktioner för vad man vill uppnå med policy på organisationen. Dessutom har jag märkt att det inte står beskrivet hur man har tänkt förmedla policyn till hela organisationen. Orsaken till detta sägs vara att ledningen inte har bestämt vikten av policytillämpningen.
