The purpose of this thesis was to investigate on what perspective or perspectives university teachers and librarians at a medium-sized university in Sweden base their view on information literacy. More specifically, how do the respondents view their own information literacy and what opinions they have of their students? information literacy as professionals. Three perspectives are used to interpret the results, the sociocultural perspective, the phenomenographical perspective and the behavioristic perspective.The method used is semi structured interviews with three university teachers and three librarians.Both librarians and teachers emphasize the importance of information literacy, for themselves as well as for students. The information literacy of the librarians involves being well acquainted with the subjects of the students.

This Masters thesis in Library and Information Science has the title The New Information Desks at Malmö Public Library . During the rebuilding of the library in Malmö a new information desk was developed. This desk differs to a great extent from conventional information desks used in libraries. The information desk is triangular with rounded edges which allows the librarian and the user of the library to work side by side without any physical barriers. The aim of this thesis is to explore the requirements for the information desks formulated by the library and how they are perceived by the librarians and the users of the library.

Background:In pace with the increasingly aging population will the number of older people in nursing homes and with care in home grow. This means that the nurse will face related to the older more frequently and more widely. Nurses has overall responsibility over both the care of the elderly as a responsibility of maintaining good relationships with related parties. Related parties are of great importance for the older individual, it is therefore relevant for the nurse to be able to interact in a respectful and sensitive manner to involve the relatives in care.Aim:The aim with this study was to highlight nurse's experiences of interaction with related parties to elderly in community health care.Method:A literature review based on nine qualitative articles was conducted. Friberg design was used with the inspiration of Lundman and Hällgren Graneheim regarding the analysis of Articles.Results:The study resulted in four themes.

In a complex and turbulent world, several companies begin to realize the value of information as a strategic resource and try to find strategies to manage this. This master thesis aims to describe the information management at Axis Communications AB. Axis is a fast growing company and due to this they have not been able to manage the flow of information whitin the company. To find out how the information was managed at this time we made a survey and employee interviews at three Axis business units. By analyzing the surveys and interviews we found several problems.

In supporting an efficient way to gather and develop contact information for the Uppsala Association of Technology Physicist alumni, it is crucial to have in place an adequate and user-friendly system allowing the continuous collection and storage of such contact information. This can achieved by the creation of a website where alumni can enter information about themselves and where such information in turn is stored in a database. A database containing relevant tables has been developed in MySQL. In utilizing phpMyAdmin, the programming language PHP and Web Server Apache, a fully functional website to be included on the Association's website has been created..

The thesis aims at, from a user perspective, examining how a group of industrial researchers understand the information seeking in their every day work. A qualitative method is employed. The empirical material consists of open-ended interviews with in all ten researchers. All of them work at the Swiss-Swedish Technology Company ABB's research laboratory in Västerås. The thesis is based on the opinion that the scientific knowledge production has become commercialised and that the scientific communication is going through certain changes.

Purpose?This study has examined the information behaviour and perception of information in a group ofinformation users who have a critical approach to the media and the information supply. Some of them call themselvesor are being called conspiracy theorists. The purpose was to examine how their information behaviour is influenced by the belief that the information is biased or inaccurate and what the information behaviour looks like when the user searches for discrepancies rather than a response to a question.Method?The study is based on transcribed interviews and email responses to interview questions.

The numbers of mergers and acquisitions have increased significantly in the last period of time. Although this popularity for mergers and acquisitions, most of the mergers and acquisitions fail to create value. One explanation to this failure of value creation is, according to several studies, how companies treat integration of information systems in the pre-merger evaluation. The research within the field argues that information system integration should have a proactive role in mergers and acquisitions, meaning that information system integration should support the organizational change and normally be considered in the premerger evaluation. The aim of this thesis is to study issues that affect whether companies choose to consider information system integration proactively, when involved in mergers and acquisitions.

Både sjukdomen och dess behandlingar kan ge en påverkan på kroppen, men även den sexuella lusten och funktionen kan påverkas och förändras. Ett fungerande sexualliv utgör en viktig del av livskvaliteten för de flesta. Vårdpersonalen har en viktig roll i att förbereda patienten på vilka symtom de kan förvänta sig, men patienterna önskar ofta avsevärt mycket mer information än vad som ges. Syfte: Att belysa cancerpatienters behov av sexualitetsrelaterad information.

The purpose with this study is to map the research front and the research base in information science, by using the bibliometric methods bibliographic coupling and author-co citation analysis. The research questions are: 1. What is the nature of the research front in information science, regarding which areas that are being studied? 2. What is the nature of the research base in information science, regarding which authors who are most cited, and how they can be grouped? The data used in the study were gathered from articles published in the journal Journal of the American society for information science and technology, published between 2004-2006, respectively 1986-2006.

Med unionens regelverk kring statligt stöd som utgångspunkt behandlas i uppsatsen EU-rättens förhållningssätt till kommunal markförsäljning. Vid försäljning av mark kan en kommun ha andra ambitioner än att endast erhålla högsta möjliga pris. Exempelvis kan det finnas önskemål om att förena försäljningen med vissa krav på köparen, vilket i sin tur kan leda till ett lägre pris på marken. Alternativt kan priset på marken sänkas i syfte att locka investeringar. Att markförsäljning på detta vis nyttjas som ett styrmedel för att förverkliga politiska ambitioner riskerar emellertid väcka misstankar om att köparen mottagit statligt stöd.

SammanfattningFöretag utbyter och delar ofta information med varandra. Informationen kan omfatta en mängd olika uppgifter om företagen. Informationen kan underlätta inför samarbeten, öka företags insikt på marknaden och ge företag effektivitetsvinster. Utbyte och delning av information kan dock under vissa omständigheter vara konkurrensbegränsade. Det fastställdes redan år 1968 när Kommissionen uttalade att utbyte av information mellan konkurrerande företag kan hämma den fria konkurrensen.

Enligt svensk arbetsmiljölagstiftning finns krav på att arbetsmiljöarbetet ska organiseras på ett systematiskt sätt inom alla verksamheter som sysselsätter arbetstagare. Vanliga förekommande problem som uppmärksammats i detta arbete är att det oftast fokuseras på åtgärdandet av problem istället för att arbeta förebyggande, att det finns en otillräcklig integrering av arbetsmiljöfrågor i den övriga verksamhetsplaneringen samt att det finns bristande insikter i vad en dålig arbetsmiljö egentligen kostar verksamheten. Objektiva krav och praktiska råd på hur arbetsmiljöarbetet kan organiseras finns att hitta i föreskriften (2001:1) Systematiskt arbetsmiljöarbete. Föreskriften kan underlätta planeringen, ledningen och kontrollen av arbetsmiljön i en verksamhet. Syftet med studien var att kartlägga och analysera hur en kommunal förvaltning organiserat sitt systematiska arbetsmiljöarbete samt utarbeta konstruktiva förslag på eventuella förbättringar.

This analysis is about the fourth basic competence and how you can define it, what it includes and if it is possible to find it in the new curriculum for the Swedish high school; Gymnasiereformen -07. The analysis was focused on the following subjects; Mathematics, Social science and Swedish. The aim with this analysis has been to create a summary in the field of information literacy and to define the fourth basic competence. The analysis were focused on and delimited by the following conceptions; information literacy, digital competence and the information search process. The sources of information has primarily been taken from the field of information literacy and statements from professionals in the fields of information literacy and education.

Syftet med denna studie är att ta reda på hur och varför lärare använder laborativt arbetssätt i matematikundervisningen i skolår 3 samt lärarnas uppfattning om hur det förebygger elevers matematiksvårigheter. Studien inkluderar även elevers inställning till laborativt material. Motivet till valet av detta ämne är utifrån våra VFT (verksamhetsförlagd tid) erfarenheter där enskild tyst räkning dominerade matematikundervisningen och laborativt material användes som sysselsättning. Litteraturen inom området förespråkar arbete med laborativt material under hela skolgången för betydelse för elevernas förståelse i matematik och att läraren har en avgörande roll gällande konkretisering av den abstrakta matematiken. En stor del av forskningen har visat att elever som arbetar med laborativt material i matematik presterar bättre än elever som inte gör det. I undersökningen har vi använt oss av två kvalitativa undersökningsmetoder, intervju och observation.
