Integritet i Googles tjänster - En studie om Googles sekretesspolicy
On March 1, 2012, Google introduced its new privacy policy which is applicable to all Google services. This means that search history may be saved by Google indefinitely and may also be associated with the specific account during the first 18 months. We assume that few people read this policy and we have hypotheses that a deeper knowledge of the contents of the privacy policy affects how users perceive Google as a company and/or the usage of Google services. In this study, we have conducted surveys at the IT University of Gothenburg, to investigate how many participants that have read or possess some knowledge of the privacy policy. We have found that very few participants claim to have read the privacy policy.

Kunskap, motivation och stöd : En studie om kompetensutveckling inom statistisk analys av experimentella stöd
Testing and analysis of measurement data is a major part of the workday for development engineers within the section Fluid and Emission Treatment to assure the quality of products developed by Scania CV. The ineluctable variation and therefore uncertainty of results can be quantified and discussed with the use of statistical methods.The overall objective of this study is to examine how the competence of development engineers can be improved within the area of statistics. This has been done by relating the concept of competence with the use of statistical methods to analyse experimental data and by investigating which factors that influence the competence of the engineers. Observations of the daily operations, interviews and a focus group with development engineers and a workshop with management personnel, has been used as research methods in this study.The results show that the desired competence, from the perspective of the individual, consists of knowledge, motivation and support. It is important that none of these parts are neglected when the competence of engineers is to be strengthened.
Kunskapsläge och attityder till vildsvin (Sus scrofa) och dess förvaltning i Sverige
The wild boar (Sus scrofa) is since its recent establishment and increasing density a controversial species in Sweden. But the attitudes towards the wild boar are poorly documented so far. To improve this knowledge, a questionnaire was sent out to chosen people (n=400) connected to the management and/or land use activities.
The study got 162 replies (reply frequency 40,5%) and the results show varying attitude trends among organizations and individuals, with some aspects coherent within groups and some not. Farmers and their organization showed the most negative attitudes towards wild boars, which was expected due to the practical and economic problems they suffer from this species. People involved with forestry were more positive to wild boars, probably because the species does not affect forest growth etc severely, and may even promote plant establishment by the rooting.

There has been an increase in the importance and amount of information concerning publicly traded stocks in recent years. When analyzing and valuing stocks finding new ways of collecting information has therefore increased in importance. This thesis aims to explore how meetings with management can impact the stock valuation done by the security analysts. Furthermore the case study examines what kind of information analysts can receive by interpreting management at these meetings. This case study of ten Swedish security analysts show that the analyst?s stock valuation is directly or indirectly affected by the meetings.

SCA Skog AB Jämtlands forest management administration is dependent on the acquisition of timber from private forest owners to fulfil their mission to the supply of SCA's paper and sawmills in Sweden with raw material. To be able to develop the cooperation with private forest owners, the administration investigates their quality management by measuring the customer satisfaction index (CSI). The purpose of the study was to identify a practical and systematic method to handle deviations and suggestions for improvements to achieve a higher customer satisfaction.

Syfte: Syftet är att studera diskrepanser mellan den av företaget förmedlade imagen och hur de anställda upplever arbetet inom organisationen i praktiken samt även hur de upplever själva förmedlingen. Metod: Med hjälp av individuella intervjuer har vi fastställt hur den av företaget förmedlade imagen upplevs av de anställda. Teorierna i studien har till avsikt att förklara dels image och hur image kan användas för att påverka anställda. Resultat: Diskrepanserna mellan individen och organisationen kan vara väldigt stora och många aspekter av individens identitet kan vara helt eller delvis segmenterade från organisationens identitet. Trots detta kan individen ha en positiv bild av företaget så länge det finns någon aspekt hos organisationens identitet som gör intrång på någon aspekt av individens identitet..
Traditional market segmentation - an evaluating approach
The purpose of this research is to evaluate traditional market segmentation variables, as criticism has been directed towards these variables. Based on our problem discussion we find it motivating to undertake investigation in order to understand which connotations an ethnographic approach will provide. Methodology:We have applied an ethnographic approach, which has enabled us to attain under the surface knowledge from our respondents. Theoretical perspective:As we wanted to evaluate existing traditional segmentation variables, we decided to only include theory regarding these variables. Empirical data:In order to collect our data, we observed seven respondents at Ikea and conducted observations and in-depth interviews in their homes.
Knowledge Management Strategy : Hur intern kunskapsöverföringsstrategi i managementkonsultföretag påverkar vilka hinder som uppkommer vid överföringen
Denna studie tar sin ansats i hur system och strategier för hantering av kunskap mynnar ut i olika hinder vid kunskapsöverföring inom managementkonsultföretag. Fallstudien bygger på fyra managementkonsultföretag varav två tillämpar en codification strategi och de andra två tillämpar en personalization strategi.Alla företagen har mer eller mindre inslag av båda strategierna men tyngdpunkten ligger i en av dem medan den andra har ett understödjande roll i respektive företag. Av studien framgår att kunskapssystem och strategier hänger tätt ihop, och är beroende av vilken vikt företaget lägger vid att dokumentera och lagra kunskap.Beroende av vilken kunskapsstrategi företagen i fallstudien tillämpade ställdes de inför olika hinder. Codification strategin renderade i hinder i form av rapportering, informationens kvalitet, användarvänlighet i databasen samt medarbetarnas motivation att dela kunskap internt genom att dokumentera projekt. Tillämpade företagen en personalization strategi ställdes företagen inför hinder i form av outtalad kunskap och medarbetarnas motivation att dela kunskap internt genom social interaktion som exempelvis sammanträden, telefonsamtal och e-post..
