This study is about differences in knowledge regarding animals. In the study five year old preschool children from a city were compared to five year old preschool children in the suburbs with multicultural background. The study is also about where children´s knowledge about animals comes from and how educators can make a positive difference. To find this out standardized interviews was used on 23 children from four different preschools, two preschools in the suburbs with 15 children and two preschools in the city with 13 children. A survey was sent out to the educators within these preschools to gather background information on what the children do regarding animals.

Problem discussion:To be competitive in a changeable environment, as the video surveillance market, in a time when the company and the market grow with almost 40% yearly, the sales organization must be well trimmed and effective. Knowledge about customers? needs and what makes success are essential parts of the progress. Sales Product Management (Sales PM) is a new group at Axis with the main task to support local sales offices around the world in their work with different sales projects. Because of the number of ongoing projects Sales PM needs to be able to screen among these and focus on those where their help will be most valuable for the company.

The aim of this thesis is to describe how service companies through adjustment of the customer?s zone of tolerance can influence customer?s perception of the service during the processes of service delivery and create customer satisfaction. The method used was case study approach utilizing personal interviews, which were conducted at two service companies. The study showed that the aspects of the service that have greatest importance for the customer?s assessment of the service and customer satisfaction among others are personal treatment and that personel behave in the way that makes the customer feel itself taken good care of and unique.

The aim with the thesis is to get deeper knowledge in one of the subjects botany, livestock technology or economy. I have chosen to get deeper knowledge in how to store potatoes. How are you going to act to keep the quality on the potato during the storage, with a minimum of weight lost? My aim with this thesis is to get a view over how the potato act in storage space. The storage environment is very important in the storage space.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine and present the oportunities of solvingcontrol problems using Modelica. This is done by creating some demonstrationexamples with exercises. These examples should cover as many types of controlproblems as possible. The exercises are aimed for people with basic knowledgein modeling and automatic control engineering but with little or no knowledgein Modelica. The aim of this master's thesis is to investigate and to explain the concept of folksonomy in the perspective of knowledge organisation. By creating a conceptual explanation and defining what folksonomy as a concept consists of, the intent is to establish a basis for evaluating folksonomy and to discuss what relevance folksonomy may have in the field of knowledge organisation. By applying a qualitative content analysis a review is performed on how folksonomy is perceived and discussed in a selection of articles written on the subject. Employing the theory of classification, subject indexing and bibliographic retrieval, folksonomy as a method for knowledge organisation is analysed. The practice of tagging in existing systems is also studied.

Background:An increasing number of patients with an oncology diagnose will be seen in the future. The oncology care is complex and in great need of nurses with a high level of competence. There is a lack of previous research in the specialist oncology nurses competence and therefore knowledge of their skills can reveal an understanding of their competence.Aim:The aim of the study was to describe the competence of the specialist oncology nurse.Method:Four oncology nurses and two directors of oncology care were interviewed. The interview text was analyzed using qualitative content analysis.Results:The result showed that the oncology nurses had developed six different competences within different areas. These competence areas were assertiveness, patient-centered care, ethical and moral-, pedagogical-, to lead and develop- and theoretical competence.

Centrala begrepp inom knowledge management är erfarenhetsåterföring och kunskapsöverföring, att de lärdomar som organisationen får i uppdrag och projekt ska föras vidare till övriga personer inom organisationenså att de kan användas av andra i senare i projekt.Samhällsbyggnadssektorn är en stor sektor i Sverige med uppemot en halv miljon anställda. Det är en bransch som ofta brukar beskrivas som konservativ och ovillig till förändringar.

Problem Företag och organisationer tvingas idag att öppna upp sina innovationsprocesser för att kunna konkurrera med andra företag och växa till en stark aktör på marknaden. I de öppna innovationsprocesserna samarbetar organisationerna med externa parter inom olika ämnesområden, detta är en process med nya arbetssätt där nytänkande och kreativitet har stor betydelse.  I en sådan innovationsprocess ställs det höga krav på en god kommunikation mellan ledare och övriga deltagare. Vi har därför valt att studera öppna innovationsprojekt där vi särskilt tittat på kommunikationen mellan ledare och projektgrupp.Syfte Syftet med denna studie är att ge en bild av kommunikationssätt som har betydelse mellan ledare och projektgrupp. Detta ligger till grund för att skapa riktlinjer för en god kommunikation inom öppna innovationsprojekt.Metod I denna studie används en kvalitativ metod där empirin har samlats in via intervjuer samt enkäter.Slutsats Studien visar bland annat på att det är viktigt att ledaren fungerar mer som en administrativ person än att den besitter en teknisk kompetens samt att den kan hålla många bollar i luften och kan vara kontaktskapande då det gäller att ledaren kan hålla ihop sin projektgrupp. Gemensamma mål är viktiga för projektgruppen för att alla ska ha nytta av varandra i nätverket.

This essay is about the origin, planning and establishment of the European Space Research Organisation's (ESRO) sounding rocket base Esrange outside Kiruna in Northern Sweden. Three main questions are examined. First I show there were not just scientific and technical but also political, economical as well as military reasons to build a European rocket base. Second, I scrutinize the reasons to choose Northern Sweden as the location for the rocket base. As it turns out, the main reasons were the favourable location of Northern Sweden within the aurora oval zone, the proximity of the Kiruna Geophysical Observatory, and the possibility to use a large, although not quite uninhabited, area where the launched rockets could crash.

Good knowledge and education in hand hygiene and its consequences if it?s not followed is of great importance. Hand hygiene should be performed before and after the clean and the unclean work with patients and materials.

Varje dag stöter vi på förpackningar av olika slag. För många personer är öppnandet av dessa förpackningar ett svårt moment, då det krävs en viss grad av handstyrka för att klara av det. Nedsatt handstyrka kan bero på skador eller sjukdomar, som exempelvis Parkinsons sjukdom, fingerledsartros och ledgångsreumatism. Åldrandet har också en negativ påverkan på handens styrka och funktion. Ett exempel på svåröppnade förpackningar är de med skruvkork av plast.

In Sweden and in Scandinavia the amount of tree species are rather few. However many different forms of trees arise due to mutations and gives rare appearances like cut-leaved and hanging forms. In some cases these trees are interesting as cultivars and a few of them have become popular garden trees. The knowledge of the original trees and early propagation is meagre.In this study a selected group of trees were found through search of literature. Eight tree forms were chosen and investigated in situ.

De projektsom studerats är Bygga om Dialogen i Malmö, Älvstaden i Göteborg,Vivalla i Örebro och föreningen Byggemenskap.Genom att intervjua en person från varje område studeras likheteroch skillnader i hur man arbetat med den sociala hållbarheten vidbyggnation. I Malmö och Örebro studeras arbetet med att öka densociala hållbarheten vid renoveringsobjekt, hur får de hela områdensom länge haft ett dåligt rykte att bli socialt hållbara där stort fokusligger på att anställa långtidsarbetslösa.I Göteborg och i föreningen Byggemenskap fokuserar man på attföra in den sociala hållbarheten vid nybyggnation och hur vi kan byggahyresrätter som har en lägre hyra än nybyggda lägenheter i dagslägethar..

The aim of this thesis is to study through discourse analysis how users talk about librarians and the librarian profession and what perceptions they have regarding it. I have tried to do this by asking the questions: How do the users describe librarians and the librarian profession? Are there any patterns in what they say? The method and theory I have used is Laclau and Mouffes? discourse theory and partially structured interviews. The material consists of interviews with eight users that are both women and men, both students and members of the public and they were between 25 and 50 years old. In the material I found two discourses: the discourse about librarians and the discourse about the librarian profession.
