Denna rapport beskriver hur dagens tekniska processer ser ut vid tillverkning av applikationer för interaktiva publikationer. En interaktiv publikation är en digitalt skapad tidning med ett extra lager av information som man kan interagera med. Exempel på interaktivitet är bildspel, video och informationsflöden i realtid som visas direkt i tidningen. Rapporten fokuserar på vad det är som ger ett mervärde till en digital interaktiv publikation och vilka funktioner det är som kan ge upphov till detta. Genom en jämförande analys mellan digitala publikationer och papperstidningar tas fyra designaspekter fram för att användas som grund för hur interaktiva element bör hanteras i framställningen av digitala publikationer. En prototyp av en interaktiv publikation har tagits fram för att visa hur designaspekterna kan tillämpas och för att visa hur information kan presenteras på ett mer interaktivt sätt. .

AbstractIn this essay I am examining the representation of popmusic with particular focus on gender and identity in two youth magazines called Kamratposten and Julia. Using the method of Norman Faircloughs critical discourse analysis I have studied ten interviews with popmusicians from each magazine based on the theorys of representations, discourses within popularmusic and queer theory. The intention with this study was to examine how popularmusic is represented in youth magazines. If the magazines were reproducing femininity and masculinity in the interviews with the musicians, and in the representation of popmusic in the magazines. And also if there were any differences and similarities between the magazines regarding the representation of popmusicians.The analysis lead to the conclusions that how popmusic is represented in the magazines depends on what the magazines wan´t to represent on the basis of their target groups and ideologies.

I uppsatsen behandlas tre reklambilder för whiskey utifrån teorier om klassisk retorik, visuell retorik och semiotik. Hypotesen för whiskeyn och dess reklam är att avsändaren måste övertyga betraktaren om att åsidosätta en viss typ av negativa associationer som finns i samband med alkohol för att den ska få en önskad effekt. I uppsatsen undersöks begreppen ethos, logos och pathos i samband med bildernas retoriska utgångspunkter. Här hävdas att det finns mönster eller olika strategier och tendenser i bildernas uttryck. Dessa mönster är intressanta eftersom de positionerar whiskeyn som produkt och övertygar betraktaren om hur whiskey ska uppfattas. Retorikens utveckling beskrivs tillsammans med semiotiken och en analys presenteras i en avslutande del inspirerad av Bo Renbergs modell för retorikanalys. Generellt framhåller författaren att reklambilderna byggs upp på ett liknande sätt eftersom de tillhör samma produktkategori. Inom demensvård är en trygg miljö av betydelse för människor med demens. Det används både medicinsk och terapeutisk behandling för att öka välbefinnande hos personer med demens. För att tillämpa musik och musikterapi i vården är det viktigt att ha kunskap om dess betydelse för personer med demens. När en person insjuknar i demens förändras dennes liv och det medför ett växande behov av omvårdnad. Personer med demens förmåga att kommunicera försämras och samspelet med omgivningen minskar.

Through the collection and analysis of negotiations surrounding the gay magazine Destroyer, the intention of this paper is to identify norms of sexuality within a contemporary sex-radical discourse. These negotiations are collected from interviews with individuals whom, at the time of the inter-view, consider themselves or their politics sex-radical. My thesis is a study of how the perception of booktalk aimed at kids and youngsters in the Swedish educational system has changed between 1932 and 2007. A discursive reading of articles in the magazine Biblioteksbladet provides the basis for my investigation. The thesis argues that an older "authoritaritan" and "traditional" discourse has given way for a more modern, "anti-authoritaritan" and "lust"-directed discourse. The older discourse was designed to make sure that young people were provided with a certain well-defined quantity of "approved" literature. The new discourse stresses the importance of fostering kids and youngsters with a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards reading in general.

Undersökningens resultat visar att trender omfattar ett stort antal olika processer där många aktörer är inblandade. De intervjuade företagen anser sig ha en viss roll i skapandet av resetrender. De avgörande faktorerna är destinationen, företagen, världsekonomin, media samt kunden i skapandet av resetrender. Efterfrågan från kunder ger möjligheten att införa nya resmål samt produkter och på så sätt skapa trender. Kundernas åsikter om destinationer och produkter medverkar till skapandet av trender, eftersom de kan påverka sin omgivnings uppfattning.

The aim of this paper is to map and analyze what role Swede's played in King Leopold II's colony in the former Congo Free State. Letters and messages that arrived at the Congo Consulate in Sweden between 1895 and 1906 have been used as the paper's primary sources. Application letters from 32 different Swedes, seeking to join the Congo Free State Army, to the General Consul of the Congo Consulate, Hans Hugold von Schwerin, have been used as primary sources, and constitute the basis of the paper's analysis. The letters arrived at the Congo Consulate in Sweden between 1895 and 1906. The applicants were all men of different social classes, and were between the ages of 20 and 30 years old. Their chief reasons for applying were primarily for own financial gain or because they did not get a chance to serve in the Swedish army.

Första mötet med sjukvården sker ofta på en akutmottagning. Det är viktigt att patienten får ett så bra omhändertagande som möjligt för att patienten ska få en positiv erfarenhet av vården. Författarna använde sig av omvårdnadsteoretikern Imogene King som belyser interaktionen mellan patient och vårdare. Syftet med studien var att belysa hur patienten upplever mötet med vårdaren på en akutmottagning. Studien baserades på en litteraturstudie.

The purpose of this thesis was to study how four swedish lifestyle magazines: Veckorevyn and Cosmopolitan for women, King and Café for men, represent three groups of people and how often these people appear in the magazines. These groups are HBT, homosexuals, bisexuals and transsexuals, disabled and immigrants. The years we studied were 2007 and 2008.Our main questions were: How often do the three groups appear in the four magazines? How are the groups represented? In order to answer these questions we used a qualitative analysis. We used tools from semiotics, narratology and discourse.

The purpose of this master thesis is to investigate whether exhibitions and silent pedagogy can be used to develop more inspiring environments in the public library. Silent pedagogy is a term from the field of museum education describing the silent communication with visitors that takes place in exhibitions through introduction and orientation, layout and installation, as well as signage. In the 1980s, articles in a Swedish library magazine discussed the pedagogical importance of library exhibits and how they make the patrons aware of the library?s resources. This led us to museum education and a desire to investigate whether its theories were transferrable to the library context.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur mediebilden av psykiskt sjuka och psykisk sjukdom presenterades mellan den 28 september och 10 oktober 2003 i tidningarna Aftonbladet, Expressen, Dagens Nyheter och Svenska Dagbladet. Vilka som får komma till tals i artiklarna och insändarna undersöks. Vidare undersöks om det finns någon skillnad i hur morgon- och kvällspress rapporterar om psykisk sjukdom och psykiskt sjuka och om det finns någon skillnad mellan insändare och andra artiklar och hur skillnaden i så fall ser ut. Slutligen studeras om psykiskt sjuka får komma till tals i högre grad efter Riksförbundet för social och mental hälsas seminarium den tredje oktober 2003.Teorin om nyhetsvärdering, gestaltningsteorin och mytteorin har använts för att förstå och tolka resultatet. Resultatet av undersökningen visar att det främst är i insändare och nyhetsartiklar som psykiskt sjuka och psykisk sjukdom tas upp.

The main purpose of this essay is to identify opinions of masculine and feminine language in a written text. The aim is to examine whether the reader of a text can define the anonymous author?s sex, judging only by elements such as choice of words or sentence structure. Are there any differences between the sexes as they appear in written language, and is the common man able to make this distinction? The essay is based on several studies on people?s ideas on masculine and feminine language, as well as studies on actual differences.
