Myxomatös mitralisklaffdegeneration (MMVD) är den vanligaste hjärtsjukdomen hos hund. Sjukdomen debuterar vanligtvis hos medelålders till äldre hundar och det är främst små- mellanstora raser som drabbas. Cavalier King Charles spaniel kan ha utvecklat MMVD redan vid två-tre års ålder. Genetiska studier har identifierat loci (områden i genomet) kopplade till tidig utveckling av sjukdomen. Sjukdomen leder till en myxomatös degeneration av mitralisklaffarna vilket leder till läckage av blod från vänster kammare till vänster förmak.

Jag har granskat Arthur Melnick, Onora O?Neill och Christine Korsgaard och undersökt hur de har tolkat Kants kategoriska imperativ. Trots deras uppenbara olikheter i tolkningen av det kategoriska imperativet går det att se gemensamma nämnare. Det rör sig om motivationen till att följa det kategoriska imperativet som främst ska ligga i vårt egenintresse och utan tvång. Dessutom har jag undersökt Susan Wolf och hennes syn på moraliska handlingar.

The canine population has during it?s time with humans gone through at least 2 major genetic bottlenecks, the first when it was separated from the wolf, and the second when it was divided into different breeds. Among other things, this has lead to the accumulation of unwanted genes, such as genes causing disease in dogs. One such inherited disease is syringomyelia, which has proven to be more common than expected, especially in certain smaller breeds such as the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Syringomyelia in dogs is often a secondary condition caused by the malformation called occipital hypoplasia.

Denna uppsats tar sin utgångspunkt i ungdomars identitetsarbete i konsumtionssamhället och hur detta identitetsarbete påverkas av massmedier med fokus på reklambilder och tv program.Massmedier är framträdande till största del under ungdomars fritid. Dessutom fokuserar reklam på att framhäva livsstilar och identiteter som kan sammanbindas med fritidens värden.Mina problem kretsar omkring hur konsumtionssamhället idag utnyttjar och påverkar ungdomars identitetsarbete och livsstilssökande för att sälja sina produkter. Utifrån denna ansats undersöker jag också hur detta kan leda till en kolonisation av den fria tiden. Syftet är å ena sidan att genom reklambilder och tv-program undersöka hur ungdomars livsstilsval, identitetsarbete och självförverkligande utnyttjas av konsumtionssamhället. Å andra sidan för jag en diskussion omkring hur detta utnyttjande skulle kunna tänkas leda till att ungdomar i det moderna samhället får allt svårare för att göra autentiska erfarenheter.De teoretiska utgångspunkterna är tagna ur diskussioner av främst Jürgen Habermas och Thomas Ziehe.

Genom att analysera åtta bilder ur två framstående herrmagasin i Sverige, King of Sweden och Man Magazine, kom vi fram till en framträdande bild av hur män ser ut i modebilder. Vi valde att använda oss av tidningarnas decembernummer, 2008. Denna undersökning utgjorde även en analysering av vad maskulinitet är och hur det framställs i modebilder för herrmagasin. Urvalet gjordes utifrån oss själva där vi strategiskt valde ut bilderna, och vilka tidningar vi ansåg vara ledande på den svenska marknaden.

In 1809 the citizens of Sweden where given the freedom to practice their Christian faith through the Swedish constitution of 1809, 16 §. This proclaimed that there should be religious freedom in Sweden, albeit restricted to Evangelical-Lutheran faith. Although after the law regarding dissenters was passed in 1860 by choosing another church than the Evangelical-Lutheran church you lost some civic rights, for example you could not become a public official. The freedom to choose religious affiliation was given through the Law of Religious Freedom in 1951. The purpose of this study is to evaluate in what way the concept of religious freedom has developed in Swedish law between 1809 and 1951.In the background I treat two historical events and one era, with focus upon religious freedom, which have in my opinion influenced the view of religious freedom in Sweden during the chosen period of 1809?1951.

Myxomatous mitral valve disease is a common disease in older dogs of small- to medium-size breeds. The mitral valve, and less commonly the tricuspid valve may be affected which causes them to leak blood from the ventricle to the atrium of the heart during systole. With increasing severity of mitral valve leakage the forward stroke volume ejected into the aorta decreases, which may lead to an increase in blood pressure in the pulmonary vein resulting in pulmonary edema. A decrease in cardiac output may lead to a decrease in blood pressure, but the body may respond in order to normalize the blood pressure. Franzén showed in 2007 that the systolic blood pressure was increased in dogs with severe mitral insufficiency.

They would eventually control the trading routes in the border areas of the Union, and byexploiting the political chaos within the Union they would gain access and influence to the landtrading routes for export and import within the Union and the shipping export routes in the BalticSea allowing them access to the Russian market through Finland and Estonia.The island of Gotland, with its tactical and important geographical position in the Baltic Seabecame the key to the Nordic Union.

Queen Kristina of Sweden (1626-1689) is a person who has been widely studied during the years. She is known as the monarch who left the Swedish throne and the protestant faith in favour of the catholic Rome. Even though Kristina left her powerful position as queen of Sweden she never gave up her dignity as a sovereign.  My purpose with this study is to analyse historians and other scholars different research concerning Kristina?s notorious execution of Monaldesco in 1657.
