Introduction: Sleep is necessary for human survival. Difficulty sleeping occurs in about one in four adult person in Sweden, insomnia in every ten. There are several reasons for difficulty sleeping, where stress is one of the most common. The quality of life and health are affected negatively. Treatment with proven efficacy against insomnia is not only sleep medication, but also cognitive behavioral therapy, CBT.

With the expansion of the internet, the conditions for the online journalists have changed. Feedback is faster and more blatant than offline. The online abilities of anonymity and dispersion attracts people to both use and misuse. During 2013, the online expressions of hate towards women has been brought to attention in the media more than ever before. Nevertheless, the phenomenon is far from new.Our qualitative research including interviews intends to find out how the afflicted women journalists are affected in their exercise of their profession.

Developing good reading skills is crucial for all pupils in school, and the reading bookis a tool for achieving that. Pupils are entitled to good reading instruction, regardless ofwhich reading level they are at, and regardless of the level of the reader they have beengiven. The aim of the study is to examine a particular teaching material and describe thedifferences that exist between a simpler and a more difficult variant of the same reader.The study is a textual analysis focused on the two readers for grade 2 from the materialDiamantjakten (The Diamond Hunt). The study shows that the two books display greatdifferences. Reading the simpler book involves a smaller amount of text, fewerdescriptive expressions, and a smaller number of words, but it does make demands onthe reader?s ability to read between the lines.

SammanfattningSyftet med studien var att beskriva och belysa vilka faktorer som är av betydelse i sjuksköterskans omvårdnad och möte med patient med en annan kulturell bakgrund än sjuksköterskans egen kultur. Utifrån detta syfte var det främst följande frågor som lyftes fram: Vilka faktorer kunde ha betydelse i mötet mellan vårdpersonal och patient med annan kulturell bakgrund än vårdpersonalen egen kultur? Hur kan vårdpersonalen bemöta en patient med en annan kulturell bakgrund än vårdpersonalen egen kultur, för att denne skall känna sig respekterad och trygg?Metoden bestod i att aktivt söka efter vetenskapliga artiklar i databasen Academic Search Elite. 25 artiklar valdes ut.Resultatet visade att det är svårt att utforma en modell eller en riktlinje som kan beskriva hur mötet med patienter med annan kulturell bakgrund bör ske. Det finns olika faktorer som är beroende av varandras samverkan och utgör varandras förutsättningar.

The aim of the study is to examine how different factors,such as views on how knowledge is produced and howlearning takes place, effect the way an academic librarymanages space. This is done by looking into how a specificlibrary, namely Library & Learning Resources (LLR) at theUniversity of Borås, by re-planning the building?s structure,design and functions, can support the students? differentstudying habits. The analysis is performed by using a theoreticalperspective built by a model first created by thearchitect Daniel Koch. The model is designed to look uponhow space produces meaning and knowledge.

This paper describes a qualitative study of preschool teachers' beliefs about heteronormativity and its role in preschool. The purpose of this study was to examine preschool teachers' ideas and beliefs about heteronormativity and the ways in which it manifests itself in preschool, and to investigate how they perceive the possibility and the need to work on issues related to heteronormativity in preschool. The study is qualitative and is conducted through interviews with preschool teachers, and analysis of information letters from preschools sent to parents. The analysis of the letters was intended to critically examine how words and language could be linked to the heteronormative and also to determine which subjects was conveyed in these everyday texts. The study is based on queer theory and social constructivism.

This study investigates the potential of a rhetorical theory of knowledge to expand beyond its own domain and into political theory, specifically theories of deliberative democracy. Despite the increasing interest in communication in democratic theory in the last decades, the majority of theorists have not turned their interest towards rhetorical science. On the contrary, theorists often regard rhetoric as dangerous and incompatible with the deliberative ideal of reason. The aim of this study is therefore to defend rhetorical science by investigating how the rhetorical theory of knowledge ? as it is presented by Chaïm Perelman and Oldbrecht Tyteca, and further developed by Mats Rosengren and Maria Wolrath Söderberg ? can contribute to the understanding of deliberative democracy.

Studiens syfte är att undersöka hur vägen till Individuella programmet (IV-programmet) har sett ut för sju ungdomar och vad de har haft för upplevelser av sin tidigare skolgång. Vi ville även få en förståelse för hur ungdomarna anser att de har blivit bemötta i skolan. Studiens frågeställningar är; Hur berättar ungdomarna om sig själva och sin skolgång, vad har ungdomarna haft för förväntningar på sig själva och sina studieresultat under sin skolgång samt hur beskriver ungdomarna kontakter med skolpersonal?Studien är kvalitativ och bygger på intervjuer med sju ungdomar på ett IV-program utanför Göteborg. Intervjuerna var semistrukturerade vilket innebär att vi använde oss av en intervjuguide men kunde frångå denna då det behövdes.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the benefit of information literacy instruction in two student groups at Kristianstad University, in relation to development of critical information literacy and within the boundaries of the educational goals. This study takes on a critical information literacy perspective that combines critical pedagogy and standards for information literacy in higher education. Two methods have been used for data collection: interviews and questionnaires. According to the results of the study the information literacy instruction provided by the Kristianstad University Library is important and useful for the students in their academic studies. It also becomes clear that the information literacy differs between the two groups as a consequence of the varying information literacy instruction received by the two groups.

AbstractThe purpose of this paper is to examine the work situation and career opportunities among women police. We use a gender perspective as a guideline during the examination. Despite words of being, and work to create, gender neutral organization, women police is greatly underrepresented. The interviewed women gave a picture of an organization in which they had to work harder than their male colleagues to advance. The biggest problem seems to lie in the hierarchy dominated by male police officers and the fact that women, during pregnancy, are missing out on valuable time at work, and thus, also essential experiences for future career advancement.
