Examensarbetet har genomförts på den produktionstekniska avdelningen på Volvo Construction Equipment i Hallsberg.Syftet varatt ta fram ett nytt koncept för hyttsvetsproduktionen på fabriken;hur produktionsprocessen skulle kunna se ut i framtiden. Man vill göra flödet i linan mer effektivt med avseende på kvalitet, flexibilitet samt eliminera tidsslöseri som idag är ett problem.När fabriken påbörjade sin produktionproducerade man två olika varianter av hyttertill anläggningsmaskiner, idag har man ökat produktionen till fyra varianter. I takt med att varianter samt orderingång ökat har man byggt på befintlig produktionslina istället för att utveckla en ny, anpassadlinafördet nya läget. Resultatet har blivit att maxkapaciteten är nådd och linan klarar inte att hantera en planerad produktionsökning.En grundlig analys av hyttsvetsprocessen, innehållande intervjuer med bland andra platschef, teknisk chef och flera tekniker genfördes för att få förståelse för processen. Övrig information såsom effektivitetsmätningar på utrustning, värdeflödesanalyser och avvikelserapportering har funnits tillgängligt och legat till grund för arbetet.

I samarbete med Skanska Sverige AB, Region Hus Stockholm Bostäder har detta examensarbete upprättats. Examensarbetet handlar om bedömning och uppföljning av de allmänna kostnaderna, (AK), inom regionen.  Inom husbyggnation är de allmänna kostnaderna en del av projektets totalkostnad och är i de flesta fall svåra att beräkna. Delar av Region Hus Stockholm Bostäder har arbetat med att ta fram erfarenhetsvärden och nyckeltal, för att få ökade kunskaper om AK i projekten och därigenom underlätta bedömningarna för prissättning i kommande projekt. Syftet är att försöka bidra till högre produktivitet genom att göra bättre bedömning, uppföljning och erfarenhetsåterföring med hjälp rekommendationer. Målet är ta fram en generell beskrivning av en rekommenderad arbetsrutin som ska ha en ?best practice? funktion för framtida arbeten.

The aim of this study is to investigate how Swedish listed real estate companies use quantitative sustainability measures - mainly sustainability index with a financial focus. Sustainability management is a controversial issue that is used more and more constructive. A sustainable management approach in corporate cunduct is complex and based on a number of aspects of business visions, objectives and daily procedures. The study identifies aspects that are considered relevant in real estate companies where the selection of sustainability indicators is based on the support of scientific research in this field. The study intendeds to clarify how Swedish listed real estate companies have selected aspects and indicators of sustainability management and how these work towards a sustainable development.

When the independent upper secondary schools were started in 1992, it meant a change in the competitive relationship for the local upper secondary schools. A reduced number of students during some years ahead, while the number of independent upper secondary schools increase will probably result in tougher competition between upper secondary schools.The purpose of this study is to review and compare financial and performance management between a public and an independent upper secondary school. The dissertation will focus on the now existing competitive relationship between the two types of upper secondary schools.The theory underlying the study is Porter's model - five competitive forces. The model is applied to the local upper secondary school and used to identify competitive factors affecting upper secondary schools. The study is using a qualitative approach with five interviews at two upper secondary schools, one independent and one public, located in the same town.The comparison of financial and operational management of upper secondary schools indicate that the differences are not as great as we first imagined, but that there still are some differences.

Our study emanates from a socio?cultural perspective on learning and aim to describe and comparetwo different upper secondary school classes and their work with information literacy as a socialpractice in project work and their use of ICT (information and communication technologies). Thequestions at issue in the study are; how the pupils handle information seeking processes, whatdifferences and similarities can be observed in the two social practices and which consequences thesedifferences have in an project work environment.Our choice of research methods to collect data consists of both observations and interviews withpupils and teachers. The interviews performed in the study can be categorized as qualitativeinterviews, and in addition we recorded and took notes during the interviews and transcribed thematerial.The study shows the importance of a good learning environment when it comes to working withinformation seeking processes, that the instructor?s role is of outmost importance and that the pupilsfundamental knowledge of information seeking processes and their information literacy are keysuccess factors when it comes to project work linked to ICT to be productive.

ABSTRAKT Patienter spenderar generellt lång tid på akutmottagningen, och i samband med Akademiska sjukhusets LEAN-arbete för att effektivisera akutvården så gjordes denna tidsstudie. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur lång tid patienter med bröstsmärta spenderar på akutmottagningen, hur lång tid det tar innan de blir triagerade och hur lång tid det tar innan de träffar en läkare. Könsskillnader och huruvida patienterna ankom i ambulans eller via reception studerades. Studien var en kvantitativ observationsstudie där 48 patienter deltog, 33 kvinnor och 15 män. Medelåldern var 56 år, och ålderspannet var 21 ? 91 år.

The Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) engine is promising in terms of lowNOx, low particulates and high efficiency. Due to its homogeneous charge, where thecombustion starts almost simultaneously from a number of points in the combustion chamber,only lean mixtures are possible to burn because of the resulting rapid combustion, which is muchfaster than the combustion in an SI-engine or a diesel engine. When richer mixtures are used thecombustion will start earlier and also be more violent.To phase the combustion later and lower the combustion speed, external cooled EGR can beused. The EGR-system used in this thesis uses a divided exhaust channel where one channel andits corresponding valve are used only for transporting EGR back to the intake system.Consequently the EGR-valve is connected to the intake pressure. This system is called Direct-EGR (D-EGR).Engine tests verified that the CA50 indeed is phased later when cooled EGR is used.

The purpose of this masters thesis is to examine how managers in public libraries are managing financial cuts. Questions posed are: What strategies are used by the library manager to handle the cuts and how are the strategies being worked out? What are the consequences of the cuts? How do the managers use their library plans in the work with the cuts and how do the plans change as a consequence of the cuts? Library managers in eleven communities are interviewed about their financial cuts in 2003 and/or 2004. The result shows that cuts are made in different ways. The study analysed the managers statements with a model about strategies created by Oulton.

An efficient market implies that the use of fundamental analysis should not result in excess return, and that any return exceeding the market average can be explained by compensation for risk, accord-ing to The Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM). The focus of this study is to test whether the suc-cessful investment strategy developed by Piotroski (2000) generates excess return on American data, after risk adjustment by using Fama & French?s (1993) 3-factor and Carhart?s (1997) 4-factor CAPM. Initially we form stock portfolios based on companies characterized by high book-to-market values, additionally, we divide them into different performance classes by ranking them with Piotroski?s (2000) measure of financial performance, F_SCORE.

Ericsson AB Katrineholm är en produktionsenhet inom Ericsson AB med ansvar för tillverkning och industrialisering av kretskort och noder. Enheten upplever en förändrad konkurrenssituation och har därför beslutat att Lean Production ska införas i verksamheten. Som ett led i implementeringen ska värdeflödesanalyser genomföras, men någon kunskap eller tydliga riktlinjer för hur dessa ska genomföras finns inte idag. Vidare är ett av de konkreta målen med implementeringen att ledtiderna genom kretskortstillverkningen ska förkortas. Syftet med examensarbetet har därför varit: Att utvärdera metoden värdeflödesanalys med avseende på ledtidsreduktion samt att ge rekommendationer till fallstudieföretaget för fortsatt arbete med metoden.

One difference noted in this study is how the teams in the game provide players. Each team has a board of directors together with the team's leadership and they will determine which players are most suitable for the team. These players are recruited to the team after graduating from a U.S.

This paper explores the emic use of ?Internet trolls" and trolling behaviour in one specific Internet community. The findings are compared with, and put in relations to the conventional definition of Internet-trolls as individuals who deliberately, typically anonymously, antagonize other users of online common spaces.A forum dealing with matters of relationship issues in the Swedish online community Message Board of Familjeliv.se, was the subject of field-work that provided the basic empirical material for the research; three comparable threads on the subject of infidelity. These could all be said to contain suspected trolling, and such suspicions were also ascribed participants throughout the discussions. The analysis was undertaken mainly in terms of quality of narrative, performance and interaction.A comparative method and a genre analysis out of a holistic and functionalistic perspective is used to shed some light on how forum participants organize themselves and steer narratives towards desired outcomes.

Värdeflödesanalys är ett verktyg inom managementkonceptet lean, en verksamhetsstrategi med rötterna i det japanska företaget Toyota. En värdeflödesanalys innebär kortfattat att identifiera och visualisera aktiviter som skapar värde eller innebär slöseri inom en process. Kartläggningen används sedan som utgångspunkt för att genomföra förbättringar ur ett helhetsperspektiv. Lean har sedan mitten av 1990-talet blivit allt vanligare bland organisationer i västvärlden och utvecklingen har gått från tillämpning på verkstadsgolvet till att leda även administrativ verksamhet. Synen på arbetsuppgifter såväl som projekt i form av återkommande processer gör att lean kan tillämpas inom de flesta typer av verksamheter.

Detta examensarbete har utförts på det Uppsalabaserade läkemedelsföretaget Kemwell AB, tillsammans med Leankonsultbyrån Valcon AB. Syftet med arbetet var att förbättra Kemwells produktionsplanering utifrån produktionsfilosofin Lean, med målet att skapa förutsättningar  för  sänkta  tillverkningskostnader  och  kortare ledtider. Inledningsvis gjordes en studie av relevant litteratur inom Lean. För att få en tydlig bild av den befintliga produktionsplaneringen genomfördes omfattande studiebesök och intervjuer med de anställda. Därefter analyserades resultaten av dessa, och lämpliga lösningsförslag på de problem vi identifierat togs fram.
