The current study aimed to test the public self-consciousness impact on creative performance. An experimental design was used in which 40 participants were randomly assigned to two groups, one of which was the experimental group and the other was the control group. A mirror was used in the experimental group to induce public self-consciousness among the participants while they performed creativity tests. A consequence test was used where the participant had to give suggestions for the given scenario "What would happen if everyone became blind?" which was then measured in the number of proposals (fluency).

Both politicians and industry believes that renewable fuels are a realistic and significant method to reduce the transport sector's environmental impact. This study aims to document the Swedish haulage contractor?s attitude to biodiesel. Also to document the strengths and weaknesses of biodiesel, based on opinions from the ultimate consumers.

Då alltfler företag i dag internationaliseras tack vare öppnare gränser mellan länder och en friare marknad för kapital och arbetskraft, ökar även betydelsen av kunskaper inom interkulturell kommunikation. Med denna uppsats avser vi att undersöka hur kulturella skillnader kommer till uttryck vid möten inom och mellan organisationer. Fokus för undersökningen har varit Spanien-Sverige då handelsrelationerna mellan dessa länder aldrig varit mer omfattande. Detta samarbete har underlättats av medlemskapet i EU vilket förenklar handel och investeringar.Studien är kvalitativ och data har insamlats via direktintervjuer. De teorier som ligger till grund för analysen är kopplade till interkulturell kommunikation samt nationella kulturers inverkan på människors beteende.

In the current study, the aim was to investigate whether tail posture and motion can be an indicator of the emotional state of pigs and if the tail posture of the pig is affected by social breeding value (SBV), coping style and/or housing. Emotional state can be defined in two dimensions: valence and arousal. Two batches of 96 finishing pigs were studied in a one generation selection experiment with a 2x2 set up and were housed in a barren or straw bedded pen. In each pen, 6 pigs (3 male, 3 female) were housed. A back-test was done to determine the coping style of the pigs with two categories; high resister and low resister pigs.

Active immunization against gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) is an alternative to surgical castration of male pigs to avoid boar taint. The aim of this study, including 128 pigs, was to evaluate the effect of a GnRH-vaccine Improvac® on performance and on social and sexual behaviour. The aim of this Master of Science Thesis is to develop guidelines and improvementsuggestions of RiNOVA Traffic AB?s dynamic speed bump. The project started with athorough pre study of the design and its function to find out how passing vehiclesaffects the dynamic speed bump. The majority part of the pre study was to createnecessary mathematical models to explain the arisen forces and strains.The results of the mathematical models gave necessary information about the designregarding weaknesses and flaws. The most critical ones where those which interferedwith the design?s performance and reliability, and therefore needed to be corrected.These problems where more thorough analysed and discussed with experts before thefinal guidelines and improvement suggestions where developed.The parts of the design that had to be redesigned were the extension springs and thebearing that enables the dynamic properties.

I have studied Elizabeth?s character based on semiotic and narratological methods.Main results: Film as a media possesses the full potential to change traditional gender roles, but the full subversion is denied due to the heterosexual matrix. Vi har nått våra slutsatser genom kreativa studiebesök, interaktiva intervjuer, en innovativ workshop och litteraturstudier. Vi har utgått från leanfilosofin och teorier om kulturer, förtroende och kommunikation i organisationer. Inom samtliga områden har vi stött på kopplingar till inre och yttre effektivitet. Under intervjuerna upptäckte vi att ICA står inför vissa utmaningar när det gäller de anställdas förtroende, kommunikation och individualistiska tankesätt.

The requirements of good quality and appetizing fast food increases continuously as a consequence of a community where food is always available. The crispiness of French fries is an issue that must be considered in this context, since it tends to decrease and give the fries a soft surface not appreciated by the consumer. To prolong the crispiness, the fries can be coated by a batter, a mix of starches. The batters used often consists of modified starches, e.g. cross-linked, acetylated and dextrinizated to increase and prolong crispiness, flour to stabilize the batter and sodium bicarbonate to make the batter ?rise?.The cross-linked starch keeps the granules in a swelled state and prevents them from breaking when exposed to heat or processing: therefore, it delays the gelatinization and decreases the stickiness of the batter.

The goal of this project has been to identify improvements and propose cost saving solutions when moving one of Emhart Glass work cells in Sundsvall. The changes shall result in improved work environment and increased product quality. The method contains value stream mapping, concept selection and P-FMEA and complies with Emhart Glass goal to become a more Lean focused business.

Det pågår ett intensivt utvecklingsarbete inom byggsektorn, för att komma tillrätta med problem som resursslöseri i byggandet och dålig produktivitetstillväxt jämfört med övrig tillverkningsindustri. Det industriella byggandet ligger i gränslandet mellan traditionellt byggande och tillverkningsindustri och försöker närma sig lösningar för vissa av de konstaterade problem som finns inom byggsektorn, bland annat genom anammande av de produktionsmetoder som varit drivande i utvecklingen inom tillverkningsindustrin, exempelvis Lean Production.Fallföretaget i den här studien, Moelven ByggModul AB i Sandsjöfors (Moelven), har lång erfarenhet av industriellt byggande och hade 2010 börjat införa vissa Lean-verktyg i sin produktionsprocess. Den här studien inducerades av Moelvens önskemål att kartlägga och problematisera sitt system för materialhantering, för att bättre kunna organisera sina materialflöden till montageplatsen. Studiens syfte är att beskriva problembilden för Moelvens materialhantering och utvärdera hur förbättringsåtgärderna, baserade på en Lean förbättringsstrategi, inverkat på problembilden över tid.Studien genomfördes som en kvalitativ fallstudie i två delar, vars första del utfördes under 2010 och andra del under hösten 2014. Genom observationer, intervjuer och litteraturstudier inhämtades material för att kartlägga och analysera Moelvens materialhantering genom byggprocessen vid de två tidpunkterna.
