Detta är en studie som undersöker om våra politiker tar ansvar för vad man beslutar om.Fyra kommuner i Värmland, Karlstad, Grums, Filipstad och Storfors har granskats utifrån sin verksamhet kopplad till Värmlands ansvar.Genomgång har gjorts av ansökningar om medel hos Länsstyrelsen samt av rapporter till Länsstyrelsen om vad man gjort för erhållna medel.Parallellt har granskning skett i kommunernas offentliga handlingar av policyprogram, riktlinjer för serveringstillstånd eller annat kopplat till barn, unga och unga vuxna i relation till alkohol och andra droger för att se om policyprogram eller riktlinjer har ändrats eller reviderats under perioden 2002 ? 2006/2008.De insamlade resultaten är inte entydiga utan visar på skillnader kommunerna emellan. Skillnader finns i prioriteringar, tidsaspekter och bredd på frågorna.Huvudfrågan är om Värmland utifrån föreliggande redovisning kan sägas vara ett frisklän eller ett risklän.Svaret är inte klart och entydigt men pekar mot att Värmland är mer ett frisklän än ett risklän..

Total organic carbon (TOC) and chemical oxygen demand (COD) are two methods used for measuring organic pollutants in wastewater. Both methods are widely used but the COD method results in production of hazardous wastes, including mercury.The purpose of this study was to validate the method TOC that will replace COD and find a factor to convert TOC to COD. In this study 26 samples were analyzed from four sewage treatment plant in the municipality of Enköping.The results show that the COD method could be replaced by the TOC method.The factor for COD/TOC was between 3.1 - 3.3. Both methods will be used in parallel until 2013 when it will be forbidden to use the COD analysis..

The implementation of integration policy has in recent times been a major problem for the municipal administrations in Swedish municipalities. The concept of integration is considered to be very diffuse, difficult to apply and implement the following decisions. To understand the concept of integration is the first step, followed by understanding its complexity in an organization.In this study, I focus on studying the implementation of integration policies for integration work with Kalmar Municipality as a case study. I am using Lundquist's implementation theory about understanding, able and willing. The survey consists primarily of interviews but also a certain document to get a perspective on how integration policy has gone into integration work with the hypothesis that it is the understanding that weaknesses of the officials in the implementation of integration policies.

SAMMANFATTNINGUnder de senaste åren har tjänstekvalitet blivit allt viktigare för kunder. Positivt bekräftad kvalitet där förväntningarna i viss mån överträffas, kan göra att kunderna är mer intresserade av att bevara relationen med tjänsteföretag. Detta resulterar till att kunder talar väl om företaget. En framgångsrik organisation försäkrar att varje medarbetare är delaktig i arbetet med att förbättra kvalitet. Denna uppsats är en undersökning på hur ledningen på HSB Centrala Värmland i Karlstad ser på tjänstekvalitet.

Resultat visar påtagliga samband mellan kön, åldersintervall och geografiskt avstånd och konsumtion av finkulturella verksamheter. Kvinnor besöker finkulturella verksamheter i betydligt större utsträckning än män och uppvisar därutöver större intresse av att besöka dessa bland de respondenter som uppger att de under det gångna året avstått besök. Det finns ett tydligt samband mellan hög besöksfrekvens och hög ålder både bland de kvinnliga och manliga respondenterna, där besöksfrekvensen för samtliga fem verksamheter är som störst i den högsta åldersintervallen, dvs. 60-69 år. Intressefrekvensen börjar märkbart tillta i åldersintervall 2, dvs.

Avsikten med studien är att beskriva vilka problemområden som kan uppstå vid skillnader mellan varumärkesidentitet och image hos ett köpcentrum. För att undersöka detta har vi valt att studera hur Galleria Duvan i Karlstad arbetar med sin varumärkesidentitet. Därefter har vi undersökt hur konsumenterna uppfattar denna identitet och vilken image denna organisation har hos dem.För att genomföra våra studier har vi använt oss av en kvalitativ metod där de intervjuer vi har utfört har varit djupintervjuer. En intervju på en representant från Galleria Duvans marknadsgrupp har genomförts samt tio stycken intervjuer på konsumenter. Resultatet av studien har gett indikationer på att det finns skillnader mellan köpcentrumets identitet och den image som konsumenterna upplever. Dessa skillnader ligger främst i kommunikationen av budskapet via sin marknadskommunikation.

The purpose of this study was to review a group of youths in a municipality which all had committed criminal acts. The study is based on 66 youths between the ages of 13 and 20 that were all matters for the social services. The social inquiries of the youths where reviewed using a quantitative method. Their backgrounds where examined to identify what type of risk factors they had and what type of crimes they had committed with an aim to detect if there were a relationship between the risk factors and the art of the crime. The result of the study showed that the majority had committed crimes against another person and the risk factors included family related factors and school problems.

The purpose of this thesis is to explore how the internal information processing and management is carried out within a unit of Viskafors municipality. Furthermore, to explore and make recommendations of how the organisation can improve its internal information management. To get a full picture I have interviewed people at different levels of the organisation. The main findings showed that there was a dysfunction in the internal information processing and management. For example the study showed that the internal information did not reach out to the different parts of the organisation due to insufficient information processing.

Rapporten handlar om framtagning av användarvänlig konstruktionslösning till en frekvensstyrd filterkärra och görs på uppdrag av Lars-Olof Larsson vid Filterteknik AB i Karlstad. Kursen är Examensarbete högskoleingenjörsexamen i maskinteknik, MSGC17 vid fakulteten för teknik- och naturvetenskap på Karlstads universitet under vårterminen 2014.I detta examensarbete tas en konstruktionslösning fram till en frekvensstyrd filterkärra som är en blivande produkt och ersättare till två tidigare filterkärror. Filterkärrans uppgift är att filtrera olika oljor från vatten och partiklar. En testkörningsprototyp fanns från början och huvudkomponenterna var utvalda. Genom produktutvecklingsprocessens metodik har ett antal prototyper tagits fram och utifrån det har den med bäst lösning valts och arbetats vidare med. Resultatet blev en kärra med samma ramstomme som tidigare liknade kärror.

In the society of today more and more employees are reported sick due to illness caused by their place of work. A lot of employees are stressed in their daily work and because of that they get mentally exhausted. These common occurrences are a part of the psycho-social work environment and it is the employers responsibility to avoid them. To rehabilitate an employee is often very expensive and takes a lot of time. Focusing on preventing illness in the work environment, instead of repair when illness is a fact, is an advantage both for the employers and the employees.The purpose with this essay is to illuminate the responsibility that the employers have to prevent psycho-social illness in the work environment.

Ship formed monuments from the Late Bronze Age on the island of O?land, southeast Sweden, have never been thoroughly dealt with in previous research, despite the fact that the region is suggested to have had a key-role in maritime trade networks. This thesis aims to address the ship formed monuments on O?land in relationship to the monuments in northern Sma?land and the island of Gotland. My goal is to discuss how the ship symbolism was practised during the Late Bronze Age in Scandinavia from a new perspective.

I takt med ökande intresse för uttag av grot så ökar också intresset för återföring av aska tillbaka till skogen. I rapporten utreds hur mycket återföringsbar aska som produceras av förbränningsanläggningar. Arbetet begränsas genom att endast förbränningsanläggningar med större kapacitet än 10 GWh träbränsle per år tas med . Dessutom sker en avgränsning geografiskt till att endast ta med anläggningar placerade söder om en tänkt linje mellan Karlstad och Stockholm.Datainsamlingen för förbränningsanläggningarnas askmängder har gjorts både med telefonintervju och enkätundersökning. Totalt har 107 förbränningsanläggningar tillfrågat.

This essay deals with the subject of communication through Facebook. In this survey we studied 100 youths from Karlstad and their communication habits and behavior patterns on Facebook. The social network site Facebook has since its start in 2004 made a mark in modern communication. Today in 2010 the site has more than 500 million users.
