The aim of this study is to examine the services offered by the public libraries in the context of distance learning students. I wanted to examine if there has been any discussion among the public libraries on how the new needs and demands affect them. To get a premonition on the development in Sweden I have focused on the public libraries in the province of Blekinge, which in many ways can be looked upon as precursors. Interviews have taken place with the distance learning students contacts at the local public libraries, the responsible librarian and a distance learning organiser at the local university college, the county library consultant and one of the chief librarians. I have reached the conclusion that no thorough discussion on the far-reaching aspects has taken place.

The aim of this thesis is to describe and analyse the development of libraries on Tjörn, an island on the Swedish west coast. I have divided the thesis in two parts, one in which I will describe the libraries development between the years 1873 to 1952 in the municipality of Stenkyrka and one in which I will describe the libraries development between the years 1976 and 1985 in the municipality of Tjörn. The study is mainly based on written materials and a theoretic model will also be used in which I apply three factors, society, the libraries economy and individual actors on the library activity. The libraries in Stenkyrka during the early period were dependent of public grant from the state for their survival and the libraries were undeveloped. The society around them was poor and hardly any money or assistants came from the municipality.

Denna studie handlar om polisers upplevelse av den psykosociala arbetsmiljön samt med avseende på hot och våld i arbetet. Genom en kvalitativ undersökning har intervjuer utförts med poliser för att få en djupare förståelse. Slutsatsen för denna studie görs genom att svara på frågeställningarna som är konstruerade för denna studie. Det finns tre frågeställningar: Hur påverkar psykosociala arbetsmiljöer polisers privatliv? Gruppdynamikens roll i psykosociala arbetsmiljöer? Faktorer som påverkar/motverkar psykosociala arbetsmiljöer? Polisernas upplevelser på sin psykosociala arbetsmiljö var varandra väldigt lika.

Denna uppsats kommer övergripande beskriva fenomenet tystnadskod inom specifikt den svenska polisen. För att kunna göra detta måste bakomliggande faktorer så som det kollegiala kollektivets betydelse inom polisen först beskrivas liksom vissa organisationsinterna motsättningar som gett upphov till tystnadskoden. Uppsatsen kommer även med hjälp av utkast från bland annat nyhetsmedier belysa hur denna tystnadskod yttrat sig i praktiken och vilka följder detta fått. Tystnadskoden är ett fenomen som har skapats ur det kollegiala kollektivet och fyller till viss del funktion som social kontroll inom kollektivet. Men också rättsligt.

AbstractThe purpose of my study is to examine the experiences and opportunities to support teachers in preschool to help children in vulnerable environments, a good self-esteem. Hindberg (1999) writes that of all children today are growing up in Sweden, so ten percent live in families where there is abuse. According Pousette (2011) as the National Public Health Institute has a new appreciation for families where there is hazardous and this means that drinking or abused so much that it can become an addiction. They appreciate the investigation that twenty percent of all children in Sweden are growing up in these conditions.The results show that teachers' work is about building a sense of security in the children, both the teacher and the environment. It also shows that teachers believe that it is important to work with the self-esteem of all children, but especially children living in abusive families.

The purpose of this thesis was to examine how locally produced bioenergy may contribute to meet the climate target year 2050 in the municipality of Uppsala. The goal of reduced GHG-emissions from current 6,8 ton CO2-equivalents to 0,5 ton CO2-equivalents per capita and year, year 2050 is based on avoiding harmful penalties of an increased level of GHG in the atmosphere. By estimating available biomass in the county together with examining future technologies and emission factors for the substrates used, four possible future scenarios has been developed focusing either on electricity generation or production of biofuels. GHG-emissions of year 2050 have been calculated using the software LEAP. The conclusion is that bioenergy, depending on how it is integrated in the energy system, may reduce greenhouse gas emissions between 0.6 ton CO2-equivalents and 1.4 ton CO2-equivalents per capita or 12% to 25% compared to 5.5 ton CO2-equivalents in the reference scenario 2050. The greatest reduction is obtained if biofuels are produced in combination with energy efficient heat requirements in buildings..

The purpose of my essay is to analyse the antiziganism imparted by the Swedish Governement during the 1930´s and 1940´s. The starting points are the text in the first published chapter of the Governement´s White Paper and other political texts refered to concerning surveys of the gypsies. My sources will be these texts important for the time period of my essay. The White Paper recites in chronological order for the repeatedly made surveys and registrations of the gypsies made by the authorities during the 1900´s. My analysis will apply the theories of Michel Foucault being about biopower/biopolitics and the method for ideological analysis by Sven-Eric Liedman.

Syftet med detta examensarbete är att få en bild av hur eleverna ser på motivationen under matematiklektionerna, samt om eleverna upplever någon skillnad mellan låg- och mellanstadiet i matematikundervisningen vad gäller motivationen.I bakgrunden presenteras motivation utifrån några olika definitioner. Olika begrepp inom motivation så som inre och yttre motivation, prestationsmotivation och flow beskrivs samt att tre olika teorier belyses.Studien är gjord i Kalmar och sammanlagt har 23 elever intervjuats, 11 elever från årskurs 3 och 12 elever från årskurs 6.Resultatet visar på att det är olika faktorer som inverkar på elevernas motivation men att det framförallt är elevernas inre motivation som påverkar. För att eleverna ska uppleva matematiken mer motiverande krävs dock att det används mer praktiska uppgifter så som spel och lekar i undervisningen. De elever som medverkade i undersökningen upplevde att matematiken är mer motiverande på mellanstadiet då uppgifterna är mer utmanande och eleverna ser en användning av matematiken i det vardagliga livet..

Den här uppsatsen skriver vi i syfte att undersöka vad företagen, som vi har valt ut, vidtar för åtgärder för att förbättra hälsan hos sina medarbetare. Vi kommer att jämföra företag som har medarbetare med högre respektive lägre utbildningsnivå för att se om företagen satsar lika mycket på medarbetarnas hälsa.Vi har utgått ifrån ett induktivt arbetssätt och vår uppsats bygger på en kvalitativ undersökningsmetod. Uppsatsen baseras på intervjuer från fyra olika företag i Kalmarregionen; Öhrlings PricewaterhouseCoopers, Länsförsäkringar Kalmar län, Guldfågeln AB och HS Städservice AB. Intervjuerna har till största delen varit personliga, eftersom vi ville se hur deras arbetsmiljö faktiskt såg ut i verkligheten.En av de största skillnaderna mellan hög- och lågstatusföretagen är, enligt oss, att lågstatusföretagen överlämnar det mesta av ansvaret, gällande den personliga hälsan, till varje enskild individ jämfört med högstatusföretagen som, vi menar, tar betydligt större ansvar för att upprätthålla en god hälsa hos medarbetarna..

The purpose of this study is to examine the relations of power within the discourse of integration and my focus will be on power relations and structural discrimination. The study origins from four qualitative interviews with employees from the County administrative board as well as from the Employment office.The theoretical framework is based upon Social Constructionism, Postcolonial Theories and with an intersectional perspective. The recent critical research from The Official Report on power, integration and structural discrimination (Utredningen om makt, integration och strukturell diskriminering) is used as well as Foucault's theory of biopower which is discussed within the analysis.The study indicates that although integration often is addressed as a reciprocal process, it is still assumed that They should be integrated by Us. The present government's one-sided focus on employment has proved difficult for the employees to put into practise and when the responsibility of obtaining employment is based upon the individual alone, she/he becomes responsible for her/his own integration..

Sverige har den näst högsta frekvensen i världen på barn och ungdomar som drabbas av diabetes typ 1. Syftet med studien var att beskriva ungdomars upplevelse av att leva med diabetes typ 1. Metoden som använts var en litteraturstudie som byggde på sju artiklar. Sökningen genomfördes i Pubmed, Cinahl, Psycinfo och Elin@Kalmar. Artiklarna som inkluderades bedömdes till medel eller hög kvalitet enligt en modifierad checklista.

Today there is an ongoing debate in Sweden concerning the care of older people. The main focus in the debate is that there is cut down on personnel and resources in the care of the elderly. We have focused on the Kalmar region, since our intention is not to compare with other regions.

The purpose of this study was to examine children's participation in court proceedings on supervised visitation and to analyse the descriptions of children in court verdicts. Eleven verdicts concerning supervised visitation resolved in 2014 were collected from two district courts in Stockholm County and studied with a qualitative textual analysis. The material was analysed with participation levels influenced by the ladder of participation for children developed by Roger Hart and with the theory of sociology of childhood. Our findings showed that children's opinions were mentioned in eight of the verdicts. In four verdicts the children's will influenced the courts decisions.

The purpose with this degree thesis was to investigate the preschool teacher´s view onchildrens´s influence in preschool routine situations. The target group for this study ispreschool teacher´s that currently are working with children that are 1 ? 5 years of age. To manage to answer the aim of this study semi-structured interviews were conducted. I have performed interviews with five preschool teacher´s that currently work in a preschool that is situated in a medium sized city, in the county Värmland, Sweden.
