Syftet med den här analysen är att ta reda på hur konstruktivistisk teori förklarar skapandet av israelisk identitet. För att utföra studien använder vi oss av en narrativ metod, där vi analyserar en bok skriven av en judisk, israelisk kvinna - Susan Nathan - och en intervju med en judisk, israelisk man. Vi undersöker deras tankar angående deras identitet med utgångspunkt i teori om nationalitet, etnicitet politisk identitet och medborgarskap. This bachelor thesis is titled Who is an extremist?  - A qualitative content analysis of the agglutination of right- and left-wing groups and is written by Måns Hoffsten within the discipline of political science. This essay aims to illuminate in which way the Swedish government has tackled extreme forms of left-wing and right-wing activism during the period 1980 ? 2013. By looking at how governmental policy-suggestions and reports concerning extremism are formulated during this period this essay explores when and how the two groups first started to become a part of the same problem-representation and on what premises this is built.

This masters thesis is a study of how the expression quality literature is used in widespread newspapers and magazines. Wittgensteins idea of language games is used as a theoretical starting point. The analysis of 37 articles draws a picture of five language games that are called; the taking over, the polarising, the example giving, the gender critical and the ironic language game. The expression that quality literature is most often put in relation to is popular literature. The line between the two is sometimes distinctly drawn in the articles and sometimes quite vague.

SammanfattningMuseer har till uppgift att dokumentera, forska och samla in människans och naturens lämningar för att berika kulturarvet och bidra med ny kunskap. Frågan är vad det är för kunskap som förmedlas och vad det är som väljs att ta med i kulturarvet. Denna uppsats syftar till att lyfta fram diskussionen kring huruvida kulturarvet och kunskapsförmedlingen är könsneutral och hur den dolda genuskonstruktionen speglas i utställningarna samt att studera hur ett genusperspektiv används och integreras på Tekniska Museet i Stockholm och Malmö Museer. Som empiriskt underlag ligger kvalitativa intervjuer med sammanlagt 8 representanter från båda museerna. Den teoretiska basen består av teorier kring kultur, kulturarv och genus.

The purpose of this Masters thesis is to investigate if gender stereotypes are mediated to children between 0-3 years through books suitable for their age. This thesis concerns books that are available in public libraries. The content will be analysed by using a combination of methods, both content analysis of all the books in our study and a qualitative analysis of a smaller number of these books. With inspiration from both Robert Connell and Yvonne Hirdman and their theories of gender and gender stereotypes, this material was read and we wanted to examine if books for very young children might establish stereotypes. Our analysis showed that many known stereotypes are common in these books.

The aim of this masters thesis is to explore a mediators practical procedure during booktalks. The main question is: Why do librarians have booktalks and what does it mean to have booktalks for children? In order to answer our main question, we have used these three questions: - Why do our interviewed librarians have booktalks? - How do our informants prepare their booktalks and what do their presentations look like? - Do our informants have any follow-ups of their booktalks and if so, how do they do that? To limit the thesis, we have concentrated our study to Swedish public libraries and to children in the elementary school. We have conducted qualitative interviews with three librarians who do booktalks for children as a part of their job. The thesis theoretical basis is Aidan Chambers theory about the Reading Circle and especially the parts enabling adult and selection.

Permaculture is a design system that aims at developing sustainable human settlements and self-maintained agriculture; it may also be used for community planning. The design system of permaculture aims at mimicking a natural ecosystem; this gives the advantage to make use of all the connections and mechanisms that exist in such a system.The purpose of this bachelor thesis was to compile and spread scientific information regarding five different themes within the areas of ecology, environmental science and permaculture. This was achieved through cooperation with the permaculture inspired Ecovillage Suberbyn in southern Gotland. Information about the central parts of a permaculture ecovillage was used as material for a series of signposts that will be located around the ecovillage Suderbyn. In this thesis I discuss and analyse the relationship between USA and Europe since the end of the Cold War. Many authors claimed that the Soviet threat was the glue that kept the continents together. Now that threat is gone and new challenges have risen. In what way has this relationship been influenced by the new challenges this new era stands for? By doing a case study and by using two quite different theorists, John Mearsheimer an offensive realist and Joseph Nye who is a liberal institutionalist, I?ll try to show how for example September 11, anti-amerikanism and NATO can be explained and understood.

The aim of this master thesis has been to investigate discussions about public access to Internet in public libraries. Areas of interest were the debate in Sweden as well as in the United States. The approach was qualitative and questionnaires were distributed by e-mail to a number of Swedish public libraries. The results from the survey were then supplemented with a theoretical background and a literature study. The usable questionnaires obtained from 20 libraries showed a rather uniform approach among the Swedish librarians of how the Internet is best provided by public libraries.

The purpose of this paper was to study the various organisations that work with drug abusing homeless people in Lund. We have tried to compare the possibilities they have to change the way the homeless people look at themselves. The organisations that we have studied are Aluma, Diakonicentralen, the shelter Piletorp and the social welfare office.The methods used to collect data were interviews with professionals and homeless people as well as reading literature. We have used Ted Goldberg's (docent in social work at the university in Stockholm) theory. He writes that you have to be a significant other to persons with deviant behaviour to be able to help them become a part of the society and to change the way they look at themselves.

Very often the interesting variables are explained by several underlying variables and in statistical analyses it is common to study the relationship between variables and groups of variables. Because of this multivariate analysis is commonly used in both science and industry. There are two problem with both univariate and multivariate analyses. One is when the variables are correlated. Varje år drabbas mellan 200-300 barn av cancer. Föräldrarna till dessa barn ställs inför en ny verklighet där hela tillvaron vänds upp och ner. Syftet med studien var att belysa föräldrars upplevelser när ett barn drabbas av cancer. Studien baserades på tre självbiografiska böcker som analyserades enligt Dahlbergs (1997) innehållsanalys för kvalitativa studier. Analysen resulterade i sju kategorier som omfattar föräldrarnas upplevelser i samband med att deras barn drabbades av cancer.
