In Trollhättan municipality approximately 700 school bus stops are in service. To ensure high quality of the performance of school bus operations, with focus on traffic safety, it was decided to conduct a survey of bus stops including assessments of risks.This master thesis aims to identify the factors affecting road safety at bus stops and pedestrian connections, and to conduct an inventory and analysis of selected sites in Trollhättan municipality. The work also aims to show examples of how risk assessment should be performed in future studies. A risk analysis model provided by the Swedish Transport Administration is supplemented and used in a field study. The risk assessment is based on, inter alia, traffic flow, visibility distance, lighting, speed of traffic and the presence of bus shelter.

AbstraktHaving influence over questions that concern us is a part of the society that we live in, where every individual have the right to make her voice heard (Danell, 2006). For many decades, the school has had many different ways to give the students influence. Rönnlund (2013) is giving a historical overview of the history of students influence and enlighten us how the influence has changed over time. The influence from the students is very important and it is the students right to make their voices heard about things that concerns their work environment but also to affect their curriculum. The education in school should be fitted to every individual student (Danell, 2006).   According to Aaron Antonovsky (2007) our wellbeing is based on that we all can take part and deicide about the things we are meant to do.

This essay is a comparative research between pupils' experience of how the headmaster, teachers and other school staff interpret and apply the democratic education. The results are based on a survey carried out in senior high school, as well as interviews with the school staff. The democratic education charge has a long history of Swedish school system and is the basis for the maintenance of a democratic society. Both policy paper of state investigations and researchers in the field, regard to school as the primary and unique instance in order to promote and develop democratic skills in children and young people. However, it is shown that those who come out from school lack of knowledge and awareness of democracy and the will to speak their mind.

Flertalet studier har påvisat ett samband mellan koncentrationen av partiklar ? 10µm i luftföroreningar och cardiovaskulär- och pulmonell morbiditet och mortalitet. Vid resektion, koagulering/bränning med diatermipenna under operationer alstras rök. Denna rök innehåller bland annat mutagena och carcinogena partiklar i inhalerbar storlek (partiklar ? 10µm).Ett första syfte med denna studie var att kvantifiera den mängd ultra-fina partiklar (UFP) och partiklar ? 10µm som operationspersonal exponeras för i operationsrummet, vid användande av diatermi med mobilt rökutsug.

As a result of the so called ?Million Program? between the years 1965 ? 1975 the design-build contract had its breakthrough in Sweden. Since then, the contract form has become increasingly common and now holds a strong position on the Swedish market. In design-build contracts it?s usual that the design and production time is overlapping.

This bachelor thesis in business economics raises the topic about Corporate Responsibility (CR), this topic is currently being discussed in a variety of channels and today an increasing number of companies are involved in corporate responsibility. How do Skanska work with sustainability and why are they doing this? It is also important to see the results of the work with sustainability will lead to. We will go into more depth in one of Skanska's projects, project M25, to investigate the CR strategies they use and see how they actually work with sustainability. The purpose of this paper is to describe and analyze how and why Skanska is working to implement CR policies in their operations and more specifically from the M25 project in order to achieve sustainable business development.

Bakgrund: En bra kommunikation är en förutsättning för god kvalitet och patientsäkerhet i vården och när två olika system används har vi funderat över vad som händer med omvårdnadsdokumentationen när patienten förflyttas mellan vårdenheterna. Syftet: Vårt syfte med studien var att undersöka om de omvårdnadsåtgärder som operations-sjuksköterskan dokumenterat i operationsplaneringssystemet och rapporterat vidare, återfinns i omvårdnadsjournalen. Metod: En kvalitetsgranskning av journalanteckningar har utförts. Inklusionskriterierna var att patienterna opererats under minst tre timmar och att vårdtiden efter operationen var minst 24 timmar, då det var det första dygnets journalföring som kvalitetsgranskades. Sammanlagt granskades 40 stycken journaler.

This study analyses the economic consequences due to ethanol production in Eastern Sweden. The analyses consider the cooperative and the farmers as one vertically integrated company. The area that found the market in this study is illustrated in figure 1. The analyses assume that all members act jointly with the objective of maximizing joint profits at the farm level as well as at the cooperative firm. A mathematical model is created to calculate the optimal use of arable land.

Den tredje och fjärde oktober 1993 sköt somaliska rebeller ner två amerikanska Black Hawk-helikoptrar i Mogadishu, Somalia. Dels på grund av ett bristande doktrinärt agerande resulterade det i en 14 timmar lång strid om att överhuvudtaget överleva och många skadades eller omkom. Inte långt därefter lämnade FN och USA Somalia och insatsen sågs som ett militärt misslyckande. Insatsen i Somalia har påverkat amerikanarnas syn på utrikespolitik och den visar tydliga exempel på den komplexitet som counterinsurgency-operationer för med sig.Uppsatsen är en teoriprövande fallstudie där David Kilcullens teorier om upprorsbekämpning prövas på Specialförbandsstyrkan Task Force Rangers insats i Mogadishu, Somalia. Uppsatsen syftar inte till att pröva huruvida Kilcullens teorier fungerar eller ej, utan till att pröva hur och i vilken utsträckning Task Force Rangers medel och metoder överensstämmer med vad Kilcullen förespråkar.Resultatet av denna studie visar att förekomsten av Kilcullens teorier i vissa fall överensstämmer men överlag är väldigt få.

Syfte och frågeställningarStudien avser att undersöka hur idrottsföreningar upplever LOK-stödet. Följande frågeställningar har valts för att uppfylla syftet:? Hur fördelas det statliga LOK-stödet i föreningarna?? Hur anser föreningarna att arbetet med aktivitetskort fungerar?? Vad betyder LOK-stödet för föreningarna?? Anser föreningarna att LOK-stödet är ett rättvist system för att fördela pengar till ungdomsidrotten?? Finns det någon skillnad mellan stora föreningar (>500 medlemmar) och små föreningar (<50 medlemmar)?MetodStudiens mätinstrument utgjordes av enkäter och omfattar 2000 slumpvis utvalda svenska idrottsföreningar som uppbådar statligt LOK-stöd. Urvalet utgjordes av föreningar som ingår i RF:s organisation. Ur RF:s medlemsregister valdes sedan var tionde förening ut, oavsett verksamhet, storlek och regional tillhörighet.Studien är ett samarbete mellan IH och RF där RF angav vad de ville ha undersökt.

Vi vill med den här uppsatsen undersöka om brukskvaliteter kan vara ett stöd vid mjukvaruutveckling, med fokus på dess kommunikativa egenskaper och hur de kan bidra till skapandet av samförståelse. Empirin för studien är hämtat från UIQ Technology i Ronneby som utvecklar en plattform för ?smart phones? och har ett starkt fokus på användbarhet.I denna uppsats beskriver vi deras arbete som två nivåer. ABSTRACTBackground: Most cases of lumbar disc herniation are asymptomatic. When symptomatic, LDH may cause a significant physical and mental distress. Initially, most patients are treated conservative but sometimes operations may be required.Aim: The aim of this study was to provide a review of the scientific basis of physiotherapy, including behavioural therapy, as a treatment to lumbar disc herniation regarding pain, function and the size of disc herniation in people suffering from lumbar disc herniation.Method: Four databases were used in the searches of literature. Assessment of the validity of the studies was done with the PEDro-scale and valuation of evidence rate was made according to guidelines made by the Swedish Council on Health Technology Assessment (SBU).Result: Nine RCT-studies were included with a total of 713 participants. The scientific basis is moderate to support a pain reduction and limited regarding improvement of physical function when it comes to physical exercises, including MDT.

From underwater boat to submarine ? The development of the Swedish submarine service 1945-1960 The scope of this essay is the development of the Swedish submarine service during the period 1945-1960. The aim is to answer the following questions:- What kind of new technology did Sweden acquire when salvaging the German type XXI submarine off Gothenburg at the end of World War II?- In what respect did this technology differ from that of the Royal Swedish Navy and did it subsequently contribute to the tactical and operational development?- What tactical and operational development was accomplished between 1945-1960?The timeframe, 1945-1960, was chosen since this is when the analysis of the salvaged type XXI submarine and related effects was conducted. Furthermore, it is also during this time that the Swedish submarine service is beginning to evolve as a result of the new knowledge mentioned above and the experiences made by both the allies and the Germans during World War II.The theoretical framework primarily refers to the theories on naval warfare by Sir Julian Corbett.

Begreppet EBO har sedan 1991 gradvis växt fram som ett viktigt och centralt begrepp kopplat tillgenomförandet av operationer. Senaste exemplet är Operation Iraqi Freedom som började 2003 därförespråkarna anser att det fanns ett effektbaserat tankesätt från koalitionens sida i genomförandet. Detfinns dock många olika beskrivningar av vad begreppet egentligen innebär vilket gör att man kan diskuteraförekomsten av det effektbaserade tankesättet i en operation.Syftet med denna uppsats är att ge ett perspektiv på effektbaserade operationer samt att ge en fördjupadbeskrivning av uttrycket genom att ta fram kriterier som kan användas för att påvisa förekomsten avtankesättet i en specifik operation.Uppgiften besvaras genom att undersöka följande frågor.? Hur är det möjligt att förstå konceptet EBO i förhållande till begreppet Counter-insurgency?? Använder Koalitionen ett effektbaserat tankesätt när de genomför upprorsbekämpning i IRAKunder 2004?? Vilken effekt fick det effektbaserade tankesättet på operationerna?Resultatet av undersökningen visar att det förekommer effektbaserat tankesätt i de två COINoperationernai Haditha och Fallujah. Effekterna av båda operationerna är enligt amerikanska källorväldigt positiva vilket kan stämma i det korta perspektivet utifrån tilldelade uppgifter.

The aim of this study was to provide SCA Forest Norrbotten District with material to assist in their work towards decreasing the frequency of bucking splits in their saw timber logs. SCA Forest supplies the Munksund sawmill with pine timber. Periodically the sawmill experiences problems related to bucking splits in their logs. The purpose of this study was to find an available method to measure the occurrence of splits directly on incoming timber. The ambition was also to gain some knowledge about possible variations between different logging crews in terms of split frequency. If possible, this information could be used to investigate if certain crews produced more splits than others, and thereby making it possible to provide feedback to the logging machine operators. The study consisted of two major parts, a literature review, and a practical sawmill study.
