Hydrotherapy is a relatively new area when it comes to treatment and prevention of different problems in dogs, but an area that is growing in popularity. In Sweden, the person who performs hydrotherapy on dogs doesn?t need veterinary education, which is the case in some other countries. What makes hydrotherapy advantageous is that water has an ability to provide an environment where injured body parts can be supported, which means that rehabilitation can start early without the risk of affecting the injury and in the same time relieve the pain for the patient. There are only a few studies of hydrotherapy on dogs and these studies focus on the physical health of the dog.

Bakgrund: De människor som personalen möter inom vården har på ett eller annat sätt drabbats av sjukdom eller skada, fysisk eller psykisk. Sjuksköterskans uppgift är att främja hälsa och lindra lidande. Det kan sjuksköterskan göra genom att använda humor som kan lätta upp patientens tillvaro i en svår livssituation. Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att belysa vad humor har för inverkan på patienten och om den kan vara till nytta i omvårdnadsarbetet. Metod: Resultatet i litteraturstudien baseras på sjutton stycken vetenskapliga artiklar som söktes i databaser som var relevanta utifrån syftet.

Bakgrund: Demens tillhör en av Sveriges största folksjukdomar och idag finns det cirka 150 000 personer som lider utav någon form av demenssjukdom, varav Alzheimers sjukdom är den vanligaste formen. Sjukdomen medför kognitiv nedsättning som successivt försämras under sjukdomsförloppet och ställer då allt högre krav på den sjukes familj. Syfte: Att beskriva upplevelsen av att vara anhörig till en person med Alzheimers sjukdom. Metod: Studien utfördes som en litteraturöversikt där 15 kvalitativa artiklar granskades och analyserades. Resultat: I resultatet framkom det att anhöriga upplevde en mängd olika känslor under sjukdomsprocessen, vilka kunde skilja sig beroende på vilken relation de hade till den sjuke.

Children and youth inactivity and sedentary at school is increasing. This means that some of the students have a significant unhealthy lifestyle with physical inactivity, which in turn implies risks of suffering from various diseases, including obesity, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, all related to a sedentary lifestyle. To prevent illness, it is important that children and young people early get a positive attitude towards physical activity.The purpose of this study was to study the causes of child and adolescent physical inactivity in school, based on teachers 'and parents' perspectives.A qualitative research has been selected. To achieve the study objectives, the author has conducted seven semi-structured interviews, with an appropriate choice of five teachers and two parents with children in school. Data was analyzed with a manifest content analysis.The results show that teachers and parents felt that physical activity is a protective factor for children's health.

Syfte: Syftet har varit att beskriva hur patienter uppfattar begreppet egenvård samt deras uppfattningar gällande information om egenvård.Metod: Empirisk studie med kvalitativ design. Strategiskt urval av åtta patienter som genomgått stamcellstransplantation. Datainsamling skedde genom semistrukturerade intervjuer.Resultat: Patienter uppfattar att egenvård är att ta hand om sig så att den egna fysiska samt psykiska hälsan främjas, utan inblandning av sjukvården. De flesta patienter uppfattade att informationen om egenvård hade varit tillfredsställande. Dock förekom svårigheter med att koppla ihop begreppet egenvård med den information som givits om egenvårdande åtgärder.

It has become fairly common for a company to outsource one or several of its logistic activities to a party separate from the business of the company itself. Since the original agreement usually involves two parties, the seller and the buyer, the logistics company is called the third party. The relationship between the outsourcing company and the third party varies in form and in depth but can sometimes be very close, almost to be considered a joint venture. When the co-operation between the two parties includes more than just one separate logistic service and the third party adapts its business to a certain extent to his principals needs, it constitutes third party logistics. If the logistics company, or a party employed by it, becomes insolvent when having the entrusted goods in his possession questions may arise concerning the right to the property.

This master's thesis in Library and Information Science examines how the genre division of the horror fictionis constructed at the children and youth department of a library by studying subject headings of the titles.The aim is to examine what is included in the genre, in the two labelings called vampire and nail-biter/spine-chiller, what separates them, and what difference there is between children and youth thrillers/horror fiction. Also the cover designs and how readers portray these books are studied. The study is made in order to develop the knowledge of the genre to help librarians and borrowers. The great popularity of the genre among borrowers and people in general, and the importance of having knowledge of things that borrowers are interested in, are the motivation of performing the study. The method is a case study and conducted with and based on genre theory which shows how a genre is defined, how it can be divided and what conventions there are for the horror fiction in particular.

The genus Campylobacter is globally recognised as the leading bacterial cause of human foodborne gastroenteritis. Every year around 8000 Swedes are infected by Campylobacter. Most people are infected by thermotolerant Campylobacter species, commonly C. jejuni and C. coli.

In this essay, several factors in apple tree care (specifically in relation to whether dead wood should be kept or removed) are highlighted for example, aesthetics and biodiversity. To present some background, the essay begins by introducing some previous literature on dead wood. This leads into how dead wood is treated within forestry. Next, previous research on dead wood in fruit trees is mentioned. Cultural and historical management methods are also highlighted.

The purpose of this study was to investigate and expand the knowledge of how bereaved spouses in palliative care handled their grief. Attempts were also made to distinguish common patterns among the experiences that the bereaved spouses expressed.  Furthermore the study aimed to understand how the bereaved spouses handled their grief, and to understand what helped them to move on. A qualitative method was used in this essay, related to the purpose of investigating the spouses? emotional experiences. The questions used to reach an understanding of the matter were: How did the bereaved experienced their grief? Were there important contributing factors worsening their grief or making it easier? How did the bereaved persons handle their grief, and what helped them to work things through and carry on with their lives? The result was analyzed by using Antonovsky?s theory; a feeling of coherence, Lazarus? coping theory combined with Folkman?s revised coping theory.

ABSTRACTBackground: The incidence of type 2 diabetes is increasing worldwide. Early intervention in form of medication, advice on self-management and lifestyle changes is necessary to avoid complications. Few Swedish studies are made on the diabetes nurse?s views on promotion of self- management.Purpose: To examine the diabetes specialist nurse?s experience of promoting self-management to patients with type 2 diabetes in primary care.  Method: A qualitative explorative study where eight diabetes nurses were interviewed. The interview guide consisted of semistructed questions concerning the promotion of self-management.Results: The diabetes nurse?s role in promoting patient self-management is significant, if resources are available in the form of adequate time for the patient and good team work.

Det finns lite forskning om livskvalitet hos patienter med kronisk njursvikt som ännu inte startat i dialysbehandling och det är viktigt att ha kunskap om hur livskvaliteten påverkas hos dessa patienter. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa olika faktorers påverkan på livskvaliteten hos patienter med kronisk njursvikt som inte startat i dialys. I studien har 16 vetenskapliga artiklar granskats och analyserats. I resultatet framkom att Hb-nivå, nutrition, sjukdomens svårighetsgrad och komorbiditet var faktorer som kunde påverka livskvaliteten. Även patienters upplevelser av antal och svårighetsgrad av symtom var påverkande faktorer.

Denna uppsats inriktar sig på rekvisitet verksam i betydande omfattning (verksamhetsrekvisitet) i relation till ?vanliga anställda? i personalägda fåmansföretag. Det framgår i förarbetena att verksamhetsrekvisitet anses vara uppfyllt när delägarens arbetsinsatser har stor betydelse för vinstgenereringen. Den avgörande faktorn här är om delägaren genom arbetsinsatser genererat intäkter till företaget. Arbetsinsatser av ?vanliga anställda?, dvs.

Diabetes mellitus är en växande folksjukdom. Risken att drabbas av diabetes mellitus typ II ökar med åldern därför benämns den även vuxen eller åldersdiabetes. Blodsockerreglering som normalt är en automatisk och osynlig funktion i kroppen, kräver vid diabetes mellitus en medveten handling. För de flesta patienter innebär diabetes mellitus stora livsstilförändringar som till exempel att ha regelbundna tider för matintag, motionera, sluta röka, begränsa gamla vanor och eventuellt medicinering. Ansvaret av behandling ligger ytterst hos patienten själv.

Diabetes typ 2 är en kronisk sjukdom som ständigt ökar. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva patienters upplevelser av att leva med diabetes typ 2. Nio vetenskapliga artiklar analyserades. Analysen resulterade i fem huvudkategorier; upplevelser av att ändra livsstil, coping - ett sätt att hantera sin diabetes, upplevelser av en förändrad självkänsla, upplevelser av vårdpersonalens bemötande och framtidssyn. Resultat som framkom i studien var svårigheter med att ändra livsstil beträffande kostvanor, hantering av medicinering och fysisk aktivitet.
