Background: The business market today is characterized by tough competition amongst the competitors to capture consumers? interest and money. One marketing tool companies can use to achieve this is the company?s image. The customer buys not only a product, but also the image that the company or the product is associated with.

This master?s thesis deals with the issue of children?s theatre at the public library. I want to examine what purpose children?s theatre play for the children according to the children?s librarians, what different factors that may influence the purchase of plays to the public library and what the children?s librarians think of the children?s theatre at the public library at present and in the future. Interviews have been conducted with four children?s librarians, at different libraries, who are somehow involved in the purchase of children?s plays to the library.

The development of applications for mobile devices has exploded in recent times. This has also led to the introduction of several new mobile operating systems. To streamline application development for multiple platforms, techniques have been developed to be able to reuse the same application regardless of the operating system. If the same application can be used on multiple platforms it will save both a lot of time and money. Today there are three types of techniques to develop an application; web, hybrid and native application, where the latter is specific to the operating system it has been developed to.

The use of technology in today's society is frequent and often necessary, but how, when and where are we supposed to learn how to use it? And if it is such a big and important part of our society, then why don?t teachers get more training in how to use the technology? The purpose of this paper is to examine whether teachers attitudes to technology affects their use of technology in their teaching. In school technology can be a complementary to other material, if teachers have the necessary skills to use technology in a pedagogical way. I have chosen to do a qualitative study in form of interviews and observations at a school outside of Stockholm. The results show that both school and teachers must want to work with technology if anyone will be getting something out of it.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka den mediala konstruktionen av äldre kvinnors moderskap i två tidskrifter, mama och Gravid. Fokus ligger på hur kvinnor över 35 år och experter uttalar sig om äldre kvinnors moderskap och vilka kvinnor som framställs som äldre mödrar. Den teoretiska plattformen består av en kombination av samhällsvetenskapliga perspektiv och feministiska forskares teorier om konstruktionen av kvinnlighet och moderskap. I analysen används uttalanden från experter och äldre mödrar ordnat efter de två mest framträdande teman. Några av slutsatserna är att äldre kvinnors moderskap konstrueras som något riskfyllt särskilt av medicinska experter i tidskriften Gravid.

Denna uppsats undersöker hur enhetschefer inom en kommun i Sverige upplever hur distans till sina medarbetare påverkar deras ledarskap samt vilka möjligheter och begränsningar ledarskap på distans medför. Uppsatsen utgår från ett ledarperspektiv och bygger på fyra intervjuer av enhetschefer inom området personlig assistans. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten grundar sig huvudsakligen på Bernard M. Bass teori om transaktionellt och transformerande ledarskap samt John Antonakis och Leanna Atwaters distansbegrepp. Resultatet visar att distans medför möjligheter i form av att utveckla självstyrande medarbetare samt begränsningar i form av insyn, kontroll samt delaktighet.

German regional policy has changed from a strategy of redistribution to a regional growth focused policy- strategies, which are often seen as opposites. Both policies, however, still have to relate to the constitutional objective ?to achieve equal living conditions for the country?s citizens.?This paper examines what effects a political change may have had on the interpretation of the German constitutional objective. Its aim is to examine German regional policy and its relationship to justice, using John Rawls? A Theory of Justice.

Arbetets syfte är att ta reda på om det finns kunskap om lärstilar bland lärare och elever på gymnasiets omvårdnadsprogram. Vidare har arbetet fokuserat på hur undervisningen ser ut i medicinsk grundkurs och hur den kan utvecklas för att anpassas till elevers olika sätt att lära in. Uppsatsen anknyter till tidigare pedagogisk forskning och teori där nyckelorden är lärande, lärstilar och undervisning.Studiens empiri består av en lärstilsanalys som genomförts i två klasser samt intervjuer av vårdlärare och elever, där lärarna har undervisat någon av eleverna i medicinsk grundkurs. Arbetet begränsas till att omfatta Richard Bandlers och John Grinders lärstilar samt de faktorer som enligt Gardner påverkar elevernas inlärning.Studien visar att det finns kunskap om de olika lärstilarna, såväl bland lärare som elever och att undervisningen i medicinsk grundkurs är flexibel. Avslutningsvis hävdar uppsatsen att undervisningen kan utvecklas genom att pedagoger bl.a.

John A Warden III har en teori om hur luftkrig ska genomföras, som sedan slutet på 80-talet influerat bland annat USA i deras planering och genomförande av luftoperationer. Denna teori var som mest aktuell under Gulfkriget 1990-1991, där luftstridskrafterna genom ett agerade enligt Wardens teori gav stora effekter på konfliken.Detta arbete syftar mot att undersöka om Wardens teori fortfarande används, och vilka effekter detta agerande medför. Arbetet presenterar de begrepp som kan ses som centrala i Wardens teori och analyserar dessa mot en fallstudie som rör flygstridskrafternas agerande under inledningen av Operation Enduring Freedom i Afghanistan år 2001.Slutsatsen är att det finns spårbarhet av Wardens tankar om luftöverlägsenhet under hela perioden som arbetet berör. Däremot finns det endast spårbarhet av att koalitionen agerade enligt tyngdpunktsbegreppet, parallell attack och fienden som ett system under den inledande fasen av konflikten. Därför kan det inte sägas att koalitionen agerade enligt Wardens teori under konflikten..

The aim of this Master?s thesis was to find out more about the delimiting quality- and shelf-life parameters over time for liquid oat-based products. According to that, to present applicable subjective and objective shelf-life test approaches at accelerated conditions. The study aimed to gain a deeper knowledge concerning the general and accepted way of performing accelerated storage tests. This study focused especially on products, which suffer from quality failure caused by oxidation, such as liquid oat-based products.

The international requirement of Swedish healthcare today is high and due to a good reputation and a long history of reliable methods through extended experience. For those Swedish companies within this business, the process of internationalization is often a attractive option.This study aims to describe, analyze and translate how minor Swedish companies within the care keeping section establish their business on the international market.The study is based upon a qualitative approach and is an empirical study carried out through semi-structured interviews.The result presented in the study shows that internationalization of companies within this business does often require a lot of time and money, is based upon establishments through networks and were learning-by-doing often is used as a strategic approach for the companies penetrating a new market.The study also accounts for major entry barriers, which declares for being to some part of political nature, but mostly of cultural nature.Differences in language and culture are shown in the study to be a major entry barrier and host-countries different cultural levels are very conclusive for the success of internationalization. .

Citizen participation is fundamental in place analysis, where the aim is to define the sites specific character and identity. The local citizens know the village better than anyone else since they lead their daily life in the environment. I have in cooperation with Sala municipality suggested guidelines on how to involve the local people in dialogue during place analysis. The target was to involve and enthuse as many people as possible with relatively small resources in time and money. The suggested methodology was tried out in a place analysis of Västerfärnebo, a community with about 3 000 inhabitants of which 500 live in the main village.

To introduce a standardized component assortment takes a lot of effort in order to make real cost savings. The rationalization effect itself is important, but perhaps even more important is to state the aim of the standardization efforts in a well-defined way. How can an organization assure that they are working in a proper way? How do they know that their efforts are being interpreted into the whole organization? And, how do they know that the standardization efforts actually save money? Different components differ heavily e.g. in technical complexity and quality issues.

This is a qualitative study with a hermeneutic and partially inductive approach. The study?s purpose is to enhance the understanding of young adults experiences of unemployment and the importance of being employed. In this study, eight young adults participate in the project Framtid Kronoberg. The youths are 19-25 years of age.

The retailing landscape has become even more competitive with an increasing number of store formats. One result of this can be seen within different retail-chains as they launch different formats that operate under the same name. Thus, consumers now have many alternatives and substitutes when it comes to choosing which format to shop from. This phenomenon has led consumes to shop across stores for the same brand. The objective of this study is to explain how consumers respond to various offers in different store formats and to determine whether the results differ if we compare a familiar brand with an unfamiliar brand.
